The funny thing is that a lot of scalpers are millennials, but everyone is getting tired of it. New rules will be put in place to fuck them over and they will have nothing to do. "Hmm yes it seems you bought up all the childrens cards in the area....hmmm you might be able to be a fry cook'
I work at a Walmart in the midwest, and there are only automated limits put in place, per transaction. Usually 4 per same item. However, there is nothing stopping a cashier from just doing multiple transactions of the same cards. Might flag something in the system eventually, but I have yet to see it.My manager doesn't really care about scalpers and re-salers, so there's always this group of arabs that come in and buy the whole set of laptops that just went on clearance, just so they can sell them online for 2x/3x the clearance price. Wish we could tell them to kick rocks, but Walmart only cares about "number go up!" and other self-destructive behavior.
