>>97261793If you want to go marines I'd suggest deciding which kind you'd like, or at the very least, what units you think look the coolest. The combat patrols is your easiest into into the game, and has its own ruleset that let's you play a combat patrols contents against another one, and it's got more scaled back rules and is a bit more simple. Remember that you can paint your models whatever colour you want, and that it's more important to focus on the shapes/proportions/poses of the miniatures themselves that you like. It makes more sense buying models you like aesthetically than ones with strong rules as the game receives balance patches every 3 months, so unless you paint very very very fast, you will have limited time units before their rules change. If the only thing you like about a unit is its rules then its likely you will grow to resent or outright dislike it if it changes. Look up newrecruit if you're planning on buying second hand, its a pretty good list builder that you can throw stuff into and get an idea of what else you need.>tdlr: find a bundle that has the most amount of your favorite units in it.
