I'm eternally piss shitting mad that there are no rules/lore for psychic admech or psycher cybernetics
>>97267765Don'tmind him anon, I picked up what you were putting down. Sounds like you've done a solid job of interweaving plots and characters, I'm sure your players appreciate it.I'm >>97267523 and there's another anecdote I felt relevant to share. Back in our DH game, when interrogator PC had been entrusted to carry our inquisitors rosette for a mission we ran into what we thought was someone faking being an =I= agent (or at least deluded into working for a fake inquisitor), because when we discovered her tailing us and apprehended her she was also carrying a rosette that was a blatant copy of our dudes'. Meta-wise, we were playing 2e and wanted to try out 1e, so the GM then ran a oneshot where we went back in time and made characters who were part of our inquisitor's original retinue when he was younger (the different, sliggtly clunkier older system that is 1e really helped sell the feeling of going back to the past too). Only to find out during that oneshot that our dude had worked for an older inquisitor alongside two other budding inquisitors, and due to shenanigans that we played out in that session they each ended up with cloned copies of his rosette and the whole incident was deeply buried due to an intense betrayal. Was really cool to actively play a part in NPC's backstories, and yeah furthered that whole feeling that these characters weren't just 2d questgivers and such but actual fleshed out beings who've been involved in events occuring before and around our own party.
>>97268076Then make them or seek homebrew?
>>97268106I already homebrewed them. I can still be mad
still kinda salty the dark heresy campaign i'm in is scuffed as hell and not hard at all
>>97268313Going to elaborate or?
>>97266069>Do you guys connect characters and events from your different games? Yes, every single series is connected. All ten so far have followed each other, and they all have been affected by, or affected, past and future series in both chronological directions. Many of them have had major ramifications for the Solaris Expanse itself as well.
>>97268076>psychic admechWhy would they want them? The Warp is perversion of the Omnissiah.
>>97267827What the warp is this OP, OP?
>>97268449Manly men doing manly tasks for the Manquisition. Obviously. What, are you some sort of idiot?
>>97268446Because they are a full half of the Imperium & are responsible for constructing all the psyker tech
>>97268326player stats are way above 50 in some areas, with some just fucking cheating because they don't understand the rules (this is a very common theme) and when I bring it up the DM acts like i'm being a negative nancy over it and "it's all for fun you don't need to be game-y!"ammo isn't a concernweight of gear isn't a concernneeding to reload outside of single shot weapons isn't a concernprimitive quality weapons and armour mechanics? what's that?yeah i'll let you move and shoot with a heavy weapon, no bracing required and forgetting that it can only fire in full auto and that's a full action to do, with no negativesoh and your enemies are just gangers all the fucking time and you're coming up to high tiers of XP level now
>>97268572oh and how can I forget "you can dofge all the time" and "the assassin is wearing synthskin and armour, no we're not using the FAQ so she has more armour than the fucking ogryn"and finally "yeah I know theres a sister of battle class i'm just not using it"
>>97268572>>97268583That's just straight up playing a different system, for sure. Who is this group in relation to you, friends, internet randoms? And was there any inkling before you joined that the game would be like this?
>>97268572I mean, I get that not everyone likes crunchy systems and sometimes handwaving a rule or two that the group doesn't feel like bothering with is okay, but by the Throne, this really fucking sucks anon, sorry to hear this. In this case it's clear that DH just isn't for them and they really should have picked a lighter, more narrative system. I mean, Imperium Maledictum is right there
>>97268665everyone is part of the same gaming club, so aquaintances mostly>>97268683yeah, it started off well but just degraded over timethe final narrative hook (for now) is coming up so I think i'll stick through it and once finished just be like "hey if we do another one or similar can we follow the rules, the narrative element is lost if they keep on being broken"
>>97268572Oof.Thank you, /tg/ for giving me every week another reason to appreciate my playgroup.
>>97268683IM is still lower on the power level scale and harsh with it's systems like crits or rending. Sounds like they want WANG.>>97268751Well at this stage you really have two options, drop out and find another group (bleak) or stay and try to push the envelope in how whacky you can make your character (also bleak). I'm sorry dude.
>>97268751>>97268842Oh, should add that yeah, talking to them about your feelings is very valid. I like the idea of presenting it in such a way that yep, such flippant abuse of the rules provides a cognitive dissonance and detaches one from feeling like they're real characters and events occuring in the setting.
