THREAD QUESTION
>Who is the Cainite you fear the most (that you actually met, myths don't count) and why?
>>
>Thread question
I would expect my childer to answer "Venus in Furs" or some affectionate nickname referring to me, but if you ask me, they should join me and give this answer: "the Prince of Paris."
By "fear" I don't mean I did anything bad (how could I?), I just feel a great sense of awe by this amount of power, influence and quite the divine majesty, which I cannot match.
>>97269990
Most excellent, so we are indeed dealing with kindred and not merely with clumsy robbers, and at least seven of them.

I only met the Princes of NY and Bridgeport? The first ain't even looked at me, the second had all these questions about metal. I say the first.

>Can it be learned? That resistance to the bond? Induced?
>>97227609
>have heard about blood bond resistance, even if mostly through third- and fourth-hand studies and that relative I mentioned who is all about the fucking vitae ranting on and on about the bonds.
Scarlet pestered me about this topic, I thought I'd share my discoveries:

- this resistance to blood bond is supernatural;
- it cannot be learned;
- it is not inherited by all childer of a sire who has it;
- it is not "mental", it doesn't necessitate a particular strong will, or True Faith;
- it has nothing to do with "true love", whatever may Scarlet mean by that;
- every newly embraced kindred should rise as blood bound to their sire with the barest minimum strength;
- if a childe has such resistance, a sufficiently experienced, attentive and caring sire should notice soon enough even without going out of their way to attempt to strengthen this congenital blood bond;
- besides failed attempts from a sire to establish a blood bond with their childe, another moment when the resistance might be exposed include a kindred deliberately feeding on a fellow kindred, as if they didn't fear, care or know about blood bond;
- another moment of truth could be a one-sided blood marriage;
- this is pure speculation on my part, but I always believed clan Tremere either have a policy to actively destroy "defective" childer who can't be blood bond or simply cannot have this resistance (the latter could have been caused by the former, a supernatural selection across the generations), and I wouldn't be surprised to see something similar among Sabbat clans;
- if there really is a creature that can learn this, it's not a kindred, but an exceptionally old ghoul, presumably over a century old.

A foolish Ventrue once asked for my hand, a few months later I had to apologize profusely to his clanmates.
>>
Quick post. I'm doing expert commentary at the Brujah Primogen's fighting tournament.
One of the Bridgeport neo-nazis fell and broke his arm on his way to the ring.
The crowd is going insane, the paramedics are all black, I'm going to be history's first final death by laughter.
>>
>>97271530
Uuuuhh is this a thing? Can all sires turn childer to dust with a gesture? Asking for a friend.
>>
>>97273021
Most sires are not masters of fleshcrafting, but there are other equally deadly and painful disciplines a Cainite could use to extinguish their unruly progeny. So... 50/50? 70/30?
Heck my sire wouldn't even have to kill me to make existence an unliving hell, I could get turned into a pair of conscious boots if I do something unwise. I do not plan to do anything unwise, but they're a centuries old alien, so who knows if I even have that capacity in their eyes.
>>
I AM FUCKING INVINCIBLE HAHAHAHAHA
Didn't quite beat Jesus's resurrection time, but being alive at all is a good enough result for me!

>>97273021
Oh, nah, not at all. It's more a general 'can a vampire do that to somebody' thing, next to no special allowance for if the target's your childe. My Sire could do that to people, if he tried and prepared for it. He usually went for boiling people's blood, or striking them with lightning, which I've taken up, as it's objectively the most impressive. Same night he got torn apart, but like thirty minutes before that, he made a werewolf's bones grow spurs and spikes until it was this skewered mess of fur, flesh, organs, and very angry, growling, somehow just barely alive skeleton with innards falling out. The wolf obviously didn't live very long after, but it was a sight. Not sure how he did it, exactly. I'll be putting effort into figuring it out.

From what I've backread while listening to a woman who likes fishnets too much cackle at me and my overall misfortune, your Sire can probably just skewer you in a blink of an eye, so she kinda-technically qualifies under 'dust with a gesture'.

>A) "Bridgeport Citizens Volunteer Militia" (our nickname), typical US far right "rifle association" madmen
>B) European-style far right social center. This is not your friendly neighborhood community center, this is some two dozen neo-nazi squatters in an abandoned, illegally occupied warehouse. In exchange for sleeping in that shithole they do "activism", i.e. protests, violence, theft, racketeering...
>C) Your alley of drug dealers giving fentanyl zombies their fix
>1. Have kine law enforcement draw a nice perimeter so hopefully no ghoul escapes and the Masquerade stays intact
>2. We crack down on A), B) and C) at the same time, dressed as SWAT or equivalent operatives with a Masquerade-ish reason to wield military grade weapons
>3. In the absolute worst case scenario, no enemy kindred found, we just free the citizens of Bridgeport of a few headaches that kine cops are clearly not equipped to fight - nothing of value lost
>>97264149
>Ideally we could set the operation in the the night between the 2nd and 3rd day of January, where the kine are off the streets. A lovely way for Bridgeport to start the new year indeed.
>If we can count on the kine police's assistance, I would like the buildings within the perimeter of the "crime scene" to have their utilities (electricity, gas, telephone, internet, roads), anything and everything, suspended while nothing or no one enters or leaves the are, until our "investigation" is concluded.
>We would also like to commence our operation without issuing any warning, lest the enemy weapons be loaded and ready at hand.
>House Venus is waiting for the Prince's authorization to proceed as well as to know who is going to assist us from the local kindred enforcers and coteries. I bet there's a Brujah who can't wait to bash some skulls.
Could we please blast Beethoven's Ode to Joy while raiding these targets on the 2nd? It's for psychological warfare.

He likes to experiment with kindred vitae, I am one of said experiments and frankly I got off easy compared to some others like the Bone Hydra he made with help from a Tzimisce friend of his alongside his abyssal rituals. I don't know exactly what he does but I've seen the results enough to know to not anger him. From what little I've interacted with her, Venus seems much more reasonable and far less fear inducing by comparison. No offense intended. -Kakophoni
also I'm using Scholar's account for a time until he is finished with his latest project.

>Who is the Cainite you fear the most (that you actually met, myths don't count) and why?
The late Prince of Colma. Which is weird. He was probably the first Big Damn Deal lick my pack killed. He wasn't even the one who came closest to killing us, that was his (now dead) SIC. I guess there's something disturbing about how he went from wanting us Dead, to killng our families, to trying to blood bond us.

Update 10, To Sleep and Dream No More
>It's... Over. Much as it can be.
>Prior as I reported we had to set up an ambush. Not an easy thing when you have Wentiko Loups, fetid childer abominations, and vestige hunters running around the wilds. Or when you have a bunch of over-proud blood and some discordant entities I'm still not sure about. Magilla for a shambling corpse lookalike at least knows how to keep a low profile.
>Mèo-Mèo vanished on me during the trip. Turned around and couldn't see her but at least I felt her nearby. Hard to explain. But by that point she'd earned a degree of trust. Shepherding Y and Q was harder than the borderline child that Halal is.
>Despite that we managed to lay down the foundations, the kin present (Quebec, myself, Mister Y, Rhinestones, Strongman, & Halal) went down into the belly of the beast while our nominal allies (as well as Hatsepshup) stayed topside. Waiting until the 'Sabbat' moved in to stab them in the back as soon as they went down.
>Of course, things didn't go according to plan, hunters made their own move on the elevator in the wee hours, turning the upstairs forest into a war zone. People topside couldn't do anything when the 'Sabbat' made their move. Makes me think they had something on the hunters or had had them bugged from day 1.
>The Giovanni or the Cannibal put together something that looked like a Vozdh. Just mostly made out of bone and not alive. While the topside entrance was being turned into a shooting gallery this abomination the size of Polar Bear barelled right down the elevator and tried very hard to flay us.
>Mama Rhinestones, Halal, and myself managed to... Less kill- More dismantle it. But it was costly. Had a portion of the lower terminal super-structure come down on top of me and was still digging my way out when it was dealt with.

>Worse, as soon as it was dealt with the 'Sabbat' waltzed right on top of us. Black Knight, Giovanni Freak, the Cannibal, and a small throng of their skinned shovelheads. They even brought Show-Master with, looking like a beaten dog. Upstairs the rest of their fodder turned the forest battle into a three sided mosh-pit.
>While downstairs we're inside a rusty station surrounded by the Flesh, that is actively groaning and rumbling.
>Pretty awful situation.
>I think the 'Sabbat' knew that. Mostly the Cannibal. Freak that she is, she was basking in the fact she was about to win. Launched into a whole thing about 'our nature as predators' and offered for us to 'submit.' Join Show-Master on the 'winning side' so she can rise upon the path to (and I am not joking) "DIABLERIZE GOD."
>While this freak is basking in her own dementia and I'm considering if I can jump the Cannibal, Quebec is prepping the explosives to go off if we lose, and everyone else is getting ready for a last stand.
>And when faced with absolute lunacy, who rises to the occasion?
>Halal.
>This 5'4 hijabi hamster-of-a-woman whose been wrestling with herself goes off like a bomb on the elders. Little miss 'how do I pray five times a night' and can't swear went off. The Giovanni looked like she'd been slapped and the Cannibal was speechless. And this wasn't just a dress down for elders who've forgotten what being told 'no' sounded like. She pointed out none of them were planning to share their triumph. "A false Idol tolerates no heirs or peers."
>Seemed even the Flesh had gone silent when she was done, still huffing like she needed to breath.
>And then Strong-Man got the loudest text in the world. From Mèo-Mèo, apparently.
>That was the spark.

>Cannibal took a swing at Show-Master, the Knight lodged his sword in the Cannibal's skull, the Giovanni grabbed Show-Master and the two of them ghosted. Next moment it turned into a damn orgy of violence as the skinned-shovelheads swarmed us and the Knight. Had a good view before one of the Cannibal's mob tried to rip my face off.
>Didn't see the rest of it myself (chewed my way out of the shovelhead) but apparently the Cannibal ripped the Knight into shreds, Mèo-Mèo finally showed herself and tore off the Cannibal's lower jaw, kicked the Abomination into the people she'd been rambling at moments before to re-open the elevator. It was... A long slow thing. Essentially they had to beat the Cannibal down until one of the Loup was able to give her her final death.
>I can't complain. Outside of some serious wounds and Mister Y almost getting dropped into one of the Flesh Pits, everyone of us managed to pull through.
>Although that left us all in an awkward situation even still. What should be done about the Flesh thing we were all unfortunately inside? Not much trust in one another's methods you could say. The Loup were afraid of another mass-extinction (traumatic history), the Homunculi had only had a weird naked dude as their advocate, and Quebec had had an itchy trigger finger on a trunk full of plastic explosives. Not great.
>The Carnival Coterie, mostly Halal, turned about to advocate for the Homunculi. Made a good case that putting the Flesh to sleep was just putting off the problem, and failing to blow it up could be apocalyptic. End the nightmare. I have to say I'm proud of the little assamite baby who manage to be compassionate to a glowering Loup.
>Those of us of the Blood, and the Wolves withdrew. Leaving the seekers to whatever they were planning as quick as we could. Dawn on the horizon. 'Sabbat' defeated. Town still burning and the hunters finally broken.

>I wish I could tell you fully what happened. The Cameras I had access to however were few, and otherwise all I had were Loup and civie reports. Three mortal people that looked suspiciously like the Homonculi walked out of that elevator shaft come morning. Behind them, the Flesh faded. Turning to wood, then stone. Dying. If it was ever alive enough to perish in the first place.
>The National Guard finally marched into town that afternoon, as the last of the Hunter holdouts fled. Whatever happened seemed like it was enough to declare their mission was 'accomplished' and they vanished. The Wentiko of the North Camp Loup did the same when night fell. Returning to Nunavut and Manitoba apparently.
>The Phantom Nudist vanished completely, as the supernatural sightings have faded.
>I had the pleasure of seeing the South Camp Loup off. I am kind of proud to say I am 'the only good one' and that I'm welcome in a location I will not share with you. Hopefully with the Flesh and NWBP gone, they'll be able to recover.
>Last night I joined the remaining members of our blood in a last meeting.
>All of us are leaving Marquette.
>There isn't a town for the 'village' people anymore.
>The Carnival Coterie Trio decided to stay together as a band, and rejected the idea of hunting down Show-Master. Wherever he and that Giovanni are, they're already twice-killed to them. Interestingly Quebec decided to join the Coterie, for the time being anyways. She has business down in Louisiana of all places and the now Quartet have a new lease on their un-life in joining her. If any of you hear about a band called the "Freak-Show-Rejects" (don't worry, they play at our hours) seek them out. Mama Rhinestones is a damn good singer.

>Mister Y has set up plans to get himself shipped to Australia, where he intends to go into Torpor for a few centuries. Apparently he still has enemies and he's very tired of this era. I wished him the best.
>Hatshepsup is selling off all her assets in town and moving down to Memphis, already got a train ready and loaded with Hippy apparently. As soon as she has everything secured and a new business up and running, she'll revive Hippy from her Torpor. And then they'll return to having screaming matches about theology, being nasty, and insisting they are only platonicaly hating one another. Bless their unbeating hearts.
>As for myself?
>Mèo-Mèo somehow got her hands on a mobile home already properly treated for folks like us, and we're heading out on the road. To wander. She's been much better since the 'dream ended' and I suppose I haven't got the heart to part ways with her. Neither of us wish to live in an area with much authority, but we can play nice for a time and see what the night has to offer in this age. See the world.. Neither of us have done much living.
>As I finish writing this it will be the last time I write to you from Marquette. We're driving out to Bismark in North Dakota. From there? Who knows.
>If you have any questions or have any recommendations for travel destinations, shoot them freely.
>Otherwise, for the last time, Marquette out.

>THREAD QUESTION
I haven't encountered enough of the Blood to fear them the way I fear hunger or doing things I'll regret. The only example I can think of was when I was a little baby fledgling back in the day. Crossed paths with a really twisted Country Gang who chased me out of New Brunswick to New England. Humiliating.

The Sire of my Sire. We've been introduced. It was an enlightening experience.

>>97272277
Ah. Is that where Tats got her new paperweight, the split in half skull? Freshly-bleached? Horrid little thing.

>>97270221
The Prince cordially informs you, and all parties otherwise interested in assisting the rightful authorities of the city, or otherwise not interested in getting caught in the crossfire, that the plan outlined by House Venus is broadly accepted. Authority on its execution falls to House Venus. On account of our Sheriff being still missing, and presumed dead and probably eaten by a unicorn, I've been granted the entirely provisional, until a better candidate is found, office of Sheriff as to helm a force sent to aid the operation, with my Coterie declared equally provisional Hounds, as to spread the authority out.
Accounting for reinforcements and volunteers, we'll have:

>Three Ventrue, counting me, an older sister visiting to help and a local
>Four Brujah - Tats, two of her friends, one local
>Two and a half Toreadors, consisting of the younger member of the college circle of Toreadors, as she works under me, one local Toreador who agreed to help, and Romeo
>Unknown amount of Nosferatu, since Romeo's Juliet said her clan intends to assist in some way
>Several Gangrel who are finally done sitting in the woods and waiting for things to blow over, as, evidently, things won't be blowing over too fast and they may as well help
>A Tremere member of my coterie back from an 'exchange program', running somewhat late, may arrive mid-operation

This is not a final list, and not all of those listed will be assisting your efforts - as a matter of precaution, we and local police kine will be at some other key locations in the city. The A-B-C target trio being so close feels off.

Any outside help beyond this is to be introduced to the Prince, and consequences of its deployment fall upon House Venus.

To any kindred who wish to help with the operation: please rendezvous at our mansion, the Chimneys in Bridgeport, CT, after sundown on the 2nd of January, you will be briefed and assigned to one of three teams.
YOU MUST BRING YOUR OWN WEAPONS.
THE MAIN OBJECTIVE IS TO TAKE AS MANY HOSTILE KINDRED ALIVE AS POSSIBLE TO BE INTERROGATED AND TRIED BY THE COMPETENT AUTHORITIES.
SEVEN SUCH KINDRED HAVE BEEN CONFIRMED BUT WE INTEND TO BE PREPARED FOR MORE.
Until the briefing, please refer to this message for a general outline: >>97273294

So I looked at the facial composites Mercury Lamp drew of the kindred she identified, and one is identical to Bergen-Belsen camp guardswoman Irene Haschke. Released from prison in '51, fate unknown, until now.
I told uncle The Devil Wears Me and he frenzied, I needed both Boy Toy and Blue Fairy to restrain him. Shit, my vitae froze there.
He offers $200k to whoever captures the nazi whore alive in addition to whatever the Prince would give you.

>>

We'd like any kindred you capture alive to be in torpor, staked and delivered to our mansion, then the Prince's staff can come pick them up.
>>
>>97287679
give me a few hours, I'll make some calls, any specific room in the mansion or just leave it on the doorstep in a coffin? -Kakophoni
>>
>>97287717
Of course you understand we're about to raid three different places in Bridgeport, and if we get our hands on the floozy before you, you won't get your reward.
Then again, in the event we don't find or get her, the doorstep is fine, ring the bell and our staff will pick the coffin up, once we're done identifying her you'll be free to discuss your payment method of choice.
>>
>>97287769
Let's hope neither of us grab a body-double by mistake. Time to ask a favor from Scholar.
-Kakophoni
>>
Kakophoni is gonna go speak with Scholar, temporarily get a power boon of Obtenebration and go grab the target using shadow-step to cover ground quickly. Once staked he drops them off. Whether he grabbed the real one or one of her body-doubles is up to Venus' player. I'm trying this style out if it's not good let me know so I can adjust accordingly.
>>
>>97287844
gonna turn in for the night, didn't get sleep last night so passing out early.
>>
>>97287844
Venus in Furs would prefer for Kakophoni to attend the briefing and fight guns blazing alongside House Venus and their allies, but ultimately she doesn't give a fuck as long as somebody delivers some results. She's an old enough vampire to know when to look the other way, and there is no problem in having Kakophoni getting some spotlight and doing the loner secret agent thing, especially if Haschke doesn't have any meaningful reason to be necessarily, physically located in either the militia HQ, social centre or drug alley.

The Devil Wears Me has a... "very personal reason" to offer this reward and he is very confident he can tell the real thing from a possible fake once he can have a little conversation with this ancient enemy, best if with a thrice blood bound Haschke (who was almost completely drained and just woke up from torpor).
If you ask me having stunt doubles around when nazi hunters and photo archives are a thing... isn't the most clever of plans, so I legit didn't think of that.
Uncle's objective is and remains to deliver the bitch to the Prince, the reward was just an incentive, and if Kakophoni can do this Navy SEAL copypasta thing to get her, then it's money well spent in his mind.
>>
A concise debriefing of the January 2nd operation.

Overall, House Venus faced just over twice the number of enemies than we originally thought. We can speculate that said enemies were able to get reinforcements in time for the operation all we want, if the enemy was prepared, we and our allies were more prepared still.
Our spies and drones secured vital intelligence concerning where and how to strike, and we can't stress enough how Juliet and her Nosferatu friends were instrumental in finding and blocking underground escape tunnels.

The 7 previously identified enemy kindred have all been successfully apprehended and drained, they are in torpor, staked and in custody at our mansion and awaiting further interrogation and judgement by the competent authorities.
We would also like to report 8 more hostile kindred were found and destroyed in action.

In total, 15 kine are now in the hands of the kine authorities on a variety of charges such as domestic and international terrorism, drug and illegal weapons trafficking, a number of property crimes and more.
As to the dead kine, we'll leave the counting to said kine authorities.

The shorter version of the short version of the news is that we have reason to believe by capturing or destroying said kindred, we may have successfully eradicated the last major foothold of the Palatine in Bridgeport, CT.
They were marginal allies of hers that exchanged living bodies for money and "clean" blood bags, almost all Tzimisce, with a couple of clanless ones that were able to live the thinblood dream and Diablerize their way into generation fourteen, and join the Sabbat.
It seems the Palatine is indeed taking, or expanding, if not already conducting, her business in the direction of Florida.

In other news, Mommy is happy.
Speaking of Diablerie, no one in House Venus has the black veiny streaks of Diablerie in their aura
>>
A few highlights:
- Kakophoni showing up and dropping a staked Haschke out of fucking nowhere
- Blue Fairy and Tats fighting back to back and killing four vampires with their bare hands
- Boy Toy's ingenious plan to have trigger happy kine shoot each other, he had the battle in the bag by firing just one shot and let their paranoia take over
- Assoluta singing the alto part of the Ode to Joy in time with the music while mowing neo-nazis with an AK-15
- My infallible method of telling pushers pretending to fent zombies by bending over: a literal ass kick then a double tap
- Venus inspecting the troops while holding a riding crop before the debriefing, then just looking pretty and doing fucking nothing all night long

A excerpt from Irene Haschke's interrogation.

Mercury Lamp: "Hey, you. You're finally awake."
Irene Haschke: "Did you win yet?"
The Devil Wears Me: "You killed my wife in Bergen-Belsen."
IH: "Then I was captured, tried, found guilty, sentenced to prison, and I served my sentence. I'm a gwood gwirl now~"
TDWM: "Are you?"
IH: "Did Jacob ever feel sorry for taking his birthright from his brother Esau who was starving to death? At least I can pretend to be sorry, but even in your myths, none of you kikes ever could."
TDWM: "What should we be pretend to be sorry for?"
IH: "Do you live under a rock? The State of Israel is going out of its way to illuminate the civilized part of this world on what your ilk is capable of. Antisemitism is at an all time high, even children, tree huggers and feminists hate you now. Why do you think the original Final Solution was to send every last Erbsenzähler down to Madagascar? Why do you think my predecessors fought so hard against the Kommunistische Partei Deutschlands? Can you imagine bullshit like Israel's happening on European soil? Oh wait it did, when the Soviets invaded Czechoslovakia - a socialist republic, of course. Always with the brother - or comrade - wars. See? You make Tzimisce look like angels."
TDWM: "Then what are you going to do about it?"
IH: "We will tear your little veils of lies from this world, one by one. The little masquerade of the kine, the grand Masquerade of the cammies, and finally the Elders of your Elders."
TDWN: "Who's 'we' again? Will you fight 'degeneracy' with seropositive fentanyl addicts, and the Antideluvians with people that look like Foucault?"
IH: "Better a useful idiot than an useless one."
TDWN: "Which one are you?"
IH: "..."
TDWN: "Well?"
IH: "She deserved it."
TDWM: "..."
IH: "You don't think so?"
TDWM: "YOU WILL FOLLOW YOUR FÜHRER TO HELL!!!"
IH: "I do, I will. Barefoot if I must."
TDWM: "..."
IH: "He's back, you know?"
The Devil Wears Me's Beast: (incoherent screaming)
IH: "Hail Victory."

There's a lot of powerful abilities us kindred can gain. The shadow powers were only temporary however, a one-time use for this operation unfortunately. a gift from Scholar.

Travel log #1 [Bismark, North Dakota]-[*3/10]
>>>>>Pros
>This is a godless land of concrete, suburb, and shopping strip, devoid of personhood that makes hiding and hunting straightforward
>There are only two fellows of the blood here and they're pretty welcoming anarchs
>Plenty of places to hide, especially if you aren't afraid to make space and dig a little
>>>>>Cons
>This is a godless land of concrete, suburb, and shopping strip and I think I'd throw myself into the morning if I had to live here
>Loup country, if you have the nose for it you'll literally feel it on the road and in the air, this is not a place for the feint of heart as these are Wentiko-kin
>Insular culture among most of the mundane folk, unless you're willing to get dirt under your nails or be a bit sinister eating won't be easy, (or so I'm told, as farm country is easy living for me with all the cattle around)

I'd really like to say this was a good return to the wandering life, but, honestly, it was a bit of a shitfest. Mèo-Mèo acclimatized well enough to nomadic life but her feeding patterns are... Erratic. Dabbled in many ways, but tended to fall-back on 'siren' behaviour, if you could call it that. She tried the 'usual' for her; outskirts of town; miniskirt, heels, etc.

Lured in some schlub who managed to shuffle into a nearby alleyway, get his pants off, then immediately had a fucking heart attack on her. We had to drag him into the RV so he didn't die on us and dump him at the nearest hospital. Real glad I saved the maps of the area.

Wouldn't recommend visiting unless you're a real blue blooded freak. This place is terrible. Next... What's West of North Dakota?

Whatever you do don't head north. Manitoba is a werewolf infested shithole controlled by the Sabbat.
>>
>>97296342
Has it gotten that bad since the 50s? Last I was there the most dangerous encounter I had was with a moose. I stayed away from Winnipeg admittedly.

Saying that, I realize I have a very odd standard for the Loup.

The Sabbat took over in the late 80's, early 90's when I was just a kid. The werewolves have always been here since before Europeans. Thankfully the loups mostly stay north in the reserves, but they exist in Winnipeg's North End as well.

Believe me I know that. Even if folks like pic related are probably Dene or Cree over Michif.

Were I younger, dumber, and more alone I'd be half tempted to drop in just to spite the Sabbat. Alas. I'm not alone anymore and I'm on tour. Something for the future, perhaps. Gather a host of isolationists and cut out a new city for folks without strong political ties. Might even have some more unconventional allies...

>Gather a host of isolationists and cut out a new city for folks without strong political ties.
That would be a dream. Though recently they've been weaker, what with more than half of the local Sabbat headed to the Middle East to get eaten by the antediluvians. Maybe it would be the time to strike, unless they get reinforcements from Toronto.

I'm surrounded by snobs: no one in House Venus wanted the loot from the operation: cash, guns, drugs, ill-gotten bling, even the paintings. I grabbed and sold what I could and gave everything to charity.
>>
>>97300640
Seems you're more humane now that you're a vampire than you were as a human, Scarlet. Very Toreador.
>>
>>97300640
Just to make sure, did you verify if the paintings had a pulse before selling them?
>>
>>97300653
I check for pulse and aura. I ain't ever forgetting when Mercury Lamp spooked me with "dolls that are actually people" in her room, lotta Auspex practice for me since that night. That too is training.

Also uncle The Devil Wears Me really really wanna know what to do with the captured enemy vampires.
I'm fine with either a grand public execution just outside of Elysium or a quiet disposal at House Venus, also concerning the quantity and quality of information that either House Venus of your coterie extracts from them, feel free to do and write what you want.
>>
>>97300682
Concerning your training, I must say I'm nothing short of astonished at the pace of your progress. In over a hundred years I've never seen a kindred so eager and capable of learning Disciplines and so adaptable and pragmatic in using them.
You did say you love being a vampire, and I will provide you with the best teachers to capitalize on what seems to be a natural aptitude for having natural aptitudes.
I was right in giving you a second chance, now let's see this love bloom, Scarlet.
>>97300648
Very Toreador fledgling, you mean.
>>
>>97300682
Oh thank God. Terrific to hear that we are not starting the year with Masquerade violations.

As for the captives, bring them to the court on the evening of the sixth of January. The Prince intends to conduct an official judgment, and most likely public executions, on Orthodox Christmas, for the sake of auspiciousness of such a date. Aggrieved parties may be granted the right to do a given person in, so your uncle can look forward to that, as an option.

Same as with other such functions, anybody interested in observing justice be made can attend. Hopefully this actually will put an end to the Palatine's fuckery in our city, and she won't show up unannounced to bail out her associates. I've also been informed that the university Toreador coterie intends to decorate the court and overall dress up for a slightly-old-timey, campy Christmas theme, not quite fitting the Orthodox part but what can you do. They've, for their participation in the raid, asked me to try and puts Tats into a remarkably ugly reindeer sweater, so if I suddenly cease communicating, presume that I've been torn limb from limb by her.

>>97290835
The Prince separately thanks you for your attendance, and extends a free favor of your choosing to you and yours, to be cashed in whenever you'd like.

I thought the occasion could use a touch of folklore, so I looked for some inspirations from the East.

Top to bottom:
Russia - Venus in Furs
Armenia - Assoluta
Kazakhstan - Blue Fairy
Ukraine - Princess Charming
Bulgaria - Scarlet
Poland - The Devil Wears Me
Georgia - Boy Toy

>Once upon a time, in a land far, far away, a peasant woman looked out the window of her cottage to watch the village children play in the snow. She did this often because, although she led a very happy life with her husband, there was still a longing in her heart. The woman and her husband had no children of their own, and their biggest wish was to one day be able to watch their own child play in the snow. The husband one day suggested to his wife that they should go outside and build a snowman, instead of sitting in the house all day. The wife agreed, but wanted instead to build a girl - Snegurochka...

Its difficult to be a Salubri after all the smearing campaigns the tr*mere had conducted, but we've always found save havens amongst the Dragons. The other day I had an interesting encounter with one of the Tzimisce, which made me wonder about some things. The guy was genuinely nice and kindhearted, good host, considerate, well learned, devout Christian. We had several long nights of conversations about various subjects such as our place in the greater scheme of things, our state of being and how can our immortal souls be saved from the grasp of hell, what makes a monster and what makes a man. It was great intellectual exchange.
At least until we came to the subject of Szlachta, Vozhds and various Tzimisce creatures. The guy went through an entire marathon of mental gymnastics to justify freaky stuff like this from "I only use animal flesh and bones to craft my szlachta" to "well how is it different from mortals conducting experiments on lab mice".
Why are they like this? Is it mandatory for the Dragons to be so menacing and grim? Again, my host was for all intents and purposes an exemplary human being, both by Cainite and Sethite standards and he STILL built some horrifying minions that would cause even the demons to empty their bowels upon seeing them.
>>
>>97302503
This is why I've been studying and practicing, so I can make cute little monsters out of various animals. Big eyes, fluffy tails, big ears, and teeth that could chew through concrete. It's probably still sinful, but hopefully less so? I'm new at this, I've seen what my sire can make and it's honestly quite disturbing. I wish your guy was my sire, as my sire has no qualms fusing children together into furniture.
>>
>>97302503
What's a Salubri? That some kind of Italian sandwich meat?

I think I hate highways already. Still, this was nowhere near as dramatic a layover as Bismark was. I feel... Odd? 1. This coat is called chokha. I had the feeling it may cause an insatiable lust in the women of House Venus, so I only showed it to Princess Charming.

The speech I prepared for tonight's execution:

>We have brought before you a woman who escaped justice for over 74 years: SS Aufseherin Irene Haschke.
>Starting in 1944, she trained in the Gross-Rosen concentration camp, then worked at the Mährisch-Weißwasser and Bergen-Belsen camps.
>The latter camp is where my wife Zahava died. Bergen-Belsen was not designated as an extermination camp, and did not have a gas chamber. Even then, it became such a camp, as dehydration, starvation, disease, overcrowding, and neglect became the instruments of torture and murder of prisoners who were already deemed "too sick to work in the other camps" by the genocidal machine.
>Haschke was arrested by the British, tried for war crimes, sentenced to ten years of prison and released early in 21 December 1951.
>The last time I heard my beloved Zahava's voice she shouted: "Run! Run!" at the top of her lungs.
>But it wasn't 1945, the last time I heard her was January the 6th 2026, because her voice haunted me every day since.
>But this is not the reason this execution is taking place. This execution happens tonight because, despite 74 long years to repent, to see the error of her ways, and to introduce a positive change in her life, Irene Haschke chose evil once again, going out of her way to make this world a darker, more depressing, worse place.
>For those contributing to the Camarilla's justice system, the conclusion of this story is a familiar one.
>The cries of the victims. The perpetrators hiding in the last place you would look for them. The enemies being closer than you suspect. The unlikely sources and fragments of information that lead to a greater reveal. The mysterious hero intervening right in the nick of time.
>By the authority granted me by the Magnificent Prince of Bridgeport, by the Noble Traditions of the Camarilla, by the tears of my wife, and by HaShem,
>I EXECUTE THEE, IRENE HASCHKE!!!
>Ki afar ata v'el afar tashuv.
>For dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.

Unlike museums and gardens, strip clubs have designated private rooms which aren't toilets; flowers and gemstones belong either on my body or in my wardrobe, not in some glass house or display case; and I'll have you know Toreadors feed on vitae, not minerals, plants, or beauty.
Did you know many strip clubs closed in 2025? You remind me of Italian Elders complaining about the effects of TV on the youth when we're in the age of TikTok.

Not really, I'm told it's more like some kind of Jedi mind trick. You can make people think you're not there, or make them think you're someone else. It would be incredibly handy for me to teach my more masquerade-breaking ghouls how to move unseen. In theory. Well, might as well stir the pot here.

>Obtenebration
Shadow Magic bullshit. Pairs nice with Obfuscate and Celerity. Used almost solely hy the Lasombra clan, Kakophoni having access to speaks to his ability to work with that lot.
>Dementation
Makes people crazy, most licks prefer using Dominate for a similar effect. Used by Malkavians.
>Protean
Shapeshifting, especially into creatures ala Bram Stoker's Dracula, often used in conjunction with Animalism, the signature of the Gangrel Clan. Fair warning a lot of the forms might set off your clan's reaction to ugliness. It also boasts two of the most useful abilities, turning into mist and burying yourself in the ground. The latter's saved me from no small number of Dawns and Ghouled Seagulls back in the Eighties.
>Obfuscate
The most common on the list, it's good for making yourself unseen. Works as Old Blood describes above. Used by a few dozen different vampire types, but most commonly the Nosferatu or the Malkavians. The former absolutely will set you off though.
>>
>>97318185

Ironically a Tzim might be easier to come across, even if it isn't ideal. The Anima and the Root are things that are more felt than explained, if that makes any sense?

The Root, what most people call Protean, it's an extension of the animal we all share. Mastery of it requires an mastery of the self. Revealing, rather than changing. The Anima is a bit easier for others, but the best master of it I've ever seen was a schizophrenic in Ohio who called himself the 'King of the Cornfields' and ran a cult of children and crows.

I don't have contact information sadly, those of clan who've lived long enough they can explain are a pain in the ass to track down.

Presence. My business, especially when I get cash out of mortals, hinges on good presentation, cheating my way into it would be lovely, but with my actual art being, ultimately, the real money-maker, it's just not worth the time and effort. Plus I couldn't really Presence my way out of a lupine biting my head off, unlike some Kindred can with Dominate, so focusing on it instead of Dominate, if I were to set the time aside, seems wasteful.

>by all scientific knowledge I'm a corpse and shouldn't move
Ehh, you can make us scientific, easily. Just not Kine-scientific. Drain a corpse dry of blood, apply some of a particular, self-replicating, quasi-aware substance, and the corpse is puppeted by it, with a semblance of the person behind the wheel, maybe drawn up from remnant information in the brain as to offload problem-solving from the substance and onto a semi-independent agent. Remove the vampire labels and we're practically an alien fungus which thinks it's people. Some Kine hunters, the more sciencey types, even like to categorize us as stuff like that, it's very interesting to read their notes sometimes.

>So the NY Malk that Boy Toy dates, let's call her "Cope", has dissociative identity disorder, and basically thinks she's this livestreamer, but she ain't ever recording shit, and her "audience" are just people inside her head whom she roleplays and speaks as.
>My man called me cuz Cope interviewed him about his "issues", found out he's a masochist, and now she wants to explore it "the practical way", but it takes a dominatrix to teach a woman how to be a dominatrix.
>Time to make a new friend and some content~
1. Cope is an affable person and a gracious host, and her imaginary friends were very respectful and non-judgemental,
2. As always we wasted no time in showing our kind of play doesn't need loads of expensive equipment, Scarlet demonstrated the many uses a belt has: Cope's belt becomes a rope, whip or leash in my girlfriend's hands, it's like having a dungeon around the hips.
3. Then Scarlet guided Cope into dominating me without even touching me - though in the end the host still wanted to pat my head.
4. The show wasn't going to be complete without a bondage and whipping class, Cope was curious even during the aftercare.
5. Cope became really interested in SM as soon as she and the "audience" in her head realized it's not simply Scarlet hitting me - as much as I like impact play - and domination and submission are all in the mind.
6. What was supposed to be a "stream" about this weird kinky couple of Toreadors became a Malkavian's educational, transformative experience about the limits of love and the breaking of a whole bunch of stereotypes.
7. My Mistresses were somewhat disappointed nobody in "chat" wanted to troll us, they clearly wanted somebody to discipline besides me.

My older clanfolk are "Rustic." The worst ones never even recognized the Camarila, much less modern nations like Canada or the States. 'How many Winters' is the kind of thing you get tired of hearing from them.

To them? You'll always be someone who is 'weak.' Because you weren't dragged into the bush, mauled, turned, and left to somehow survive without instruction. And it stays that way unless you have a few dozen 'winters' under your belt or an existing in.

There are plenty of younger kin that are less... Insular, but I find they've got a questionable understanding of our own strengths.

You have connections. Use them.

>Sounds like a slur the enemies would come up with, you can call yourself a fungus if you wanna, in this house we like vampires.
Eh, I mean, it's a form of viewing our condition! A helpful one. It's nice to roleplay as dignified nobility-among-nobility, humanity's upgrade, eternal and ever-beautiful, it's very useful if you want to maintain a good face with your fellow vampires and with humans. Humans, especially. But it helps to ground yourself a little and for a night or two view things like you're just a bit of eletrochemistry in a corpse. Sparks, firing off at the whim of a however-many-thousand-year-old parasite's little outgrowth that took over a corpse.
There's loooots of dusted vampires older than your mom, who got done in by getting too high on their own supply.
>I'm jelly cuz I'm the least book smart in House Venus and I think I'm the farthest from your average Tremere too.
'Average Tremere' is a social construct! Literally. The House works to maintain an image and they don't like to share their tricks, so you'd not get anything out of them even if you were very book smart. But there's runaways out there, who could teach you for a price. I won't, my bullshit is only very rarely particularly visually impressive, but runaways are an option, if you really want to boil people. Or strike them with lightning. Or hit people with a flaming sword.

Travel log #3 [Boise, Idaho]-[*4/10]
>>>>>Pros
> So long as you're in the East of town it's easy to get out of civilization
> Pretty enough nights even if the light pollution still gets me
> Almost no kindred in this neck of the woods, easy enough to set up shop with the only authority, the 'Baron of the Garden'
>>>>>Cons
> Still nominally in Loup territory and the way they built most of the town makes me almost cheer them on
> Pricey and easy to stick out if you aren't the 'common clay of the land'
> Why is this place a colony of Deseret with all the fucking Mormons?

Some people could make something out of towns like this, but I certainly couldn't. Which mercifully I don't have to. I get to piss off back to Rocky Mountain roads. Outside of an encounter with a dirty cop (who made the mistake of side-eyeing the Cat) and an incident with a toddler at a gas station, not as much trouble as I was led to believe. How badly does a child have to be educated if they've never seen red hair before?

>Hey you're getting around! Already have an end planned?
I'd be lying if I said I'd ever had an end planned. For most of my life post bite. My current tour is almost incidental, mentioned to my Malk I was a nomad before getting into a small circuit near Marquette. Promised to take her around the continent if we made it out of that mess.

Can't say where we end up. Worst case scenario I invade Winnipeg. Who knows though?
>>
>>97328321
>Is it true that everyone's grandpa knows some Thaumaturgy regardless of clan?
Depends on how you define Thaumaturgy, honestly! But if you mean actual, Tremere, by-the-human-leather-textbook blood sorcery of Thaumaturgic nature, eh, kinda-sorta? I prefer to not talk to overly old people, they're all very weird about farseers like me, but from what I usually see of them, it works out like this. If you're old and got the sway and opportunity to learn a powerful ritual that'd give you a great advantage over your enemies, why wouldn't you? And most rituals out there are Thaumaturgic. Most, but not all, so some fossils might know other kinds of blood magic.

>>97332322
I'll be in Ketchum tonight, and will be in Sun Valley around midnight and onwards. Look for a woman with high-caliber boots and a higher-caliber witch hat.

We started this way: man on the ground, Assoluta facing his back, pegging his ass. Blue Fairy on his cock. Me fucking his face with a strapon. Good stuff already, but just the appetizer.
Then Venus in Furs and Princess Charming came with the girls of the staff and brought the pachyderm hide floggers and more toys.

the claws of the lupines are one of the few things that can permanently mutilate we kindred. beside thaumaturgical attacks or specific religious mutilation. or, ironic enough, gangrel claws under the influence of the protean. some younger kindred are also weak enough they do not enjoy total regeneration, and some are so mentally bested by a wound it will never fully heal until the kindred 'wills' it.

mostly anyways, when i was an enforcer for the brujah they had a ritualistic punishment where we shattered the arms of villains and forced them to heal in 'wrong.' so they would need to break the arm again themselves to make it heal properly.

now imagine my suprise when the fucker I was hunting whose lair was filled with human furniture and stuff like that managed to stop me and even make me back off by just brandishing a cross. like how was that guy "virtuous and pious" he literally had people crying in pain begging for death hanging from the ceiling by hooks inserted in their ballsack. meanwhile I who go to church and pray and do good works get NOTHING. like what kind of God have I been worshipping that thinks that man is a good person worthy of protection?

Faith is a weird beast brother.
Sometimes you get the tiny little weeping orphan who drives the dickhead elder into the river Thames.
Sometimes you get the actual psychotic freak hunter who if embraced would devolve into the type of Ba'ali freak that any sane Prince would have put down like a feral dog.

Unfortunately, the latter never seems to get Slow Fever.
>>
>>97337952
The cross is an instrument of torturous death. Eternal punishment for finite sins is believed to be the foundation of justice instead of an infinite injustice and an infinite evil. When they say "Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition", well, I for one do, I am absolutely not surprised at the atrocities committed in the name of ***.
The metal music and writings of De Sade that Scarlet adores could not happen without such a consummately evil religion inspiring them, and if you ask me, they shine with a reflected light: the original source is more primal, sinister and ultimately effective, because Norwegians covered in studs, corpse paint and self-inflicted cuts don't try to disguise themselves as agreeable fellows like an actual villain would do.
No, you are not worshipping the wrong ***, you just aren't looking at the complete picture.

Google image search to find a merge of Monica Bellucci and Megan Fox's faces somebody made, there are many because they're rather similar actresses, it looked like an old PhotoShop without the use of AI.
I uploaded it to Sora (ChatGPT), it's actually not a violation of ToS because the merged face isn't a real woman btw, then Remixed it (i.e. edited it) by prompting only once (better than going through many prompts, it stops looking like said actresses) for: blue-green eyes with gold flecks, longer saturated bright red hair, hair covering and hiding both ears, a black fox fur coat, and a faint smug smirk. Incidentally, the smirk made the jaw less manly.
I never tried this before so I needed many attempts to figure out what I want and how to get it.
Again, I only had the pic edited, not generated, also mentioning the names of real people in a prompt is a no no.
Finished by editing the edit with Affinity to adjust contrast, saturation and lighting, the paid version has AI tools but I'm not paying for those.

I'll be honest, trawling through snow in all that was a bit of a bitch. Absolute ankle-twist central. Worth it though. You two were pretty sharp, too! Especially with your new eyepatch and Mèo-Mèo with her new hat. Don't tell her, but it's just a hat. Isn't even Garou fur, even if SOMEBODY who likes guyliner too much kept suggesting that.

Oh, and a bit of advice for the eyepatch. I'm pretty confident that the best way to acclimatize to seeing with all the ways it can see, would be to keep several ways active at once. It's mentally straining, but you should get used to it eventually. Should eventually be able to on the fly go from thermal sight, to auras, to ghosts, to visions, to movement, to danger, to whatever else it'll be willing to do for you.
Just don't get too cocky with it. There's some creepy shit out there on the plains, especially on the highways at night. Don't openly stare at strangers through the more esoteric view-modes - the creeps drop the human act if they can tell that you can tell what they are.

>Enjoy the knife, one of my better antler pieces.
You bet I will, it's lovely!
>And don't let anything Mèo-Mèo said get under your skin. She stares at the sky like that and mutters ominous portents of doom only... Semi Regularly.
Oh, she's actually mostly right this time. There's definitely something up there in the sky, spinning little webs for me to see, all while dancing me along a bigger web, and all that other stuff she said, especially about Lavender's forest fire fuck-up. But she's being pessimistic. Just a bit. Others in my coterie don't quite yet realize what's up, mostly don't want to accept it, but I've accepted it, and I'm making the situation work for me. Helps to have friends on the other side, I think!

Even if they have a very specific definition of friendship.

Well, to be fair. If a Tzim punishes murderers, rapists and pimps by brandishing them into a furniture for their sins, is it REALLY that sinful? I mean it partially is, but it DOES make them think of repentance, doesn't it? I guess, that was a backbone of the ancient philosophy of via noctis as well.
>meanwhile I who go to church and pray and do good works get NOTHING
Well, brother, I guess you have to have greater faith in God, instead of mechanically doing stuff I guess.

You don't survive as a Gang nomad without a healthy dose of humility. Even if I never had anything permanent before everything kicked off back in Michigan, I've had my fair share of beatings. And I am more sympathetic to those things.

>Oh, she's actually mostly right this time
The cures of the seers is they're always right. Just that the context rarely lines up.

Good to have friends in many places and strange times.

Now, I think Washington State is next on the list of travel destinations.

Wentiko are built different even among the Loup. I was lucky I was focused on running but two swipes cost me my left side. It's been sealed up, but it ain't coming back unless I trust one of the more... Ritualistic cousins.

Think about the social standing, clothing they'd like to wear, their colors, the build and height.
You can start with very banal things, for instance, Scarlet:
- takes her nickname from the color of her hair, she is American with Irish ancestry and real name;
- has a history of liking and making heavy metal music, she often wears black;
- has lots of dots in Intimidate and has Staredown as its specialty, her eyes are a rare color;
- she is a Toreador from the Volgirre bloodline, they can fleshcraft, she was always going to look unearthly beautiful with a perfect skin despite her chainsmoking habit, and despite her metalhead origins she had her piercings and tattoos removed before the embrace;
- she has many dots her physical attributes and in Brawl, her body has little fat and she could pass as a kickboxer;
- she is kind of a nouveau riche when you think about it, going from playing in front of a small but dedicated crowd of freaks, to smoking in the face of rich gen Y paypigs

I based her looks on Monica Bellucci and Megan Fox because:
- I like them
- I think they have a mature appeal that matches "what I want from her"
- Fox in particular has a mean stare and scowl
- pronounced cheekbones are recognized as a trait dominant and/or tough people have in either sex, even if they weren't, a softer childish face couldn't fit my idea of her
- somehow they give me this idea of vulgar trophy wife beauty that matches the nouveau riche thing, especially Bellucci, they look like they answer "Yes" to all questions that starts with: "Have you ever had sex in a"; old money women like Grace Kelly don't fit her

It's not enough to be pretty, they have to fit my girl!
When casting, find an actor who matches the character.
Viggo Mortensen doesn't just look like Aragorn II Elessar, HE IS
Gerard Butler doesn't just look like Leonidas I, HE IS
Tilda Swinton doesn't just look like Jadis the White Witch from Narnia, or an over 300 year old Tzimisce, SHE IS

There's all sorts of things out there.
Even the Loup aren't mere horrors that disdain the Blood for ancient slights, if you ever dream of the wolves, make sure you get you and yours away.

Ancient dead in Egypt, more conventional ghosts, devils, angels that have a disconcerting closeness to those aforementioned devils, things that defy labels and haunt the dark. Remember meeting one nightmare in a corn field that was like... A person without a face. Standing there menacingly.

Fey, or rather, Sidhe? I only knew one person who spoke about them. Teddy, actually. Short Gangrel, frenzies left him with more fur than skin. Apparently after consuming too much blood from inebriated folk down in New Orleans during Mardi Gras he met with a band of dancing frogs who let him into one of their safe havens.

I could inquire for more details? Soon as we have our stay in Washington we'll probably just head south for Oregon where he's in hiding.

I couldn't tell you if any of that was the truth, only that when he was kicked out, he had another frenzy episode and put on even more fur and fangs.

Oh, lots of things are real and out there and could eat you, not sexually. A big one is spirits, mostly living in an otherworld of sorts. Werewolves have this trick where they can go through it to jump out of a puddle of water in your haven and eat you. And they do that shit incessantly if they decide you're a problem, like good God. I nearly got my face clawed clean off by a werewolf who managed to come out of a coffee cup a ghoul forgot to put a cap on. Most spirits don't like you, but they're usually aren't super likely to cause trouble for you. Unless you're like my coterie, in which case your night will sometimes look like the attached picture. That's a were-raven, by the way, those exist. There's also full-on wizards who throw fireballs and shit, were-sharks and were-cats and were-crocodiles, fairies... You'll get a good list of somewhat-major things soon enough, people love to brag about how they've met a mummy and lived.

There is a lot of weird things out there, though. Things that either defy classification, or just are so strange that even though they're technically 'just' a fairy, it really feels like something else.

Not-men pretending to be human on highways, luring in kind strangers. Living mountains, moving only when nobody's watching, or when you irritate them by coming near nature's holiest places. Covens of witches, occultists, wild mages and practicioners of esoteric arts, who do all sorts of strange things with vitae, and see you as a threat and a source of power. Psychics, who see things even I can't see with all my power, mirthful with their knowledge. Kine possessed by something foul and rotten and new and different every time, shambling about as if their eyelids aren't peeling off or their eyes aren't maggot-ridden. Birds of prey so vast to them you aren't even worth the time to swoop down, 'Kine' that seem entirely normal, up until you realize they're making sure to always face you, because they're flat as paper...

It's my turn to punish Boy Toy for running away with Cope when the ladies needed him the most. I asked uncle if a woman can wear a chokha too and he showed me this picture.

I immediately had the ladies of the staff wear this, called Blue Fairy, Mamma, Assoluta and Scarlet, and had the largest lesbian orgy House Venus ever had in Bridgeport.

As for Boy Toy, he was immobilized, mummified and buried under my bed with Mamma's kindred-proof gear, and held in sensory deprivation, only able to "watch" our sapphic passions with the help of Auspex, a reminder of his place in the food chain.

Does all that shit have a Masquerade too to keep the normies ignorant? Man of Florida is teaching me stuff and said the Masquerade is a "recent" invention by my clan, I really don't get why does the Sabbat settle for a poor man's version of a Masquerade in the current year.
I know there are some Sabbat vampires here, can anyone explain?
>a werewolf who managed to come out of a coffee cup a ghoul forgot to put a cap on
Huh? The fuck? Suddenly Mercury Lamp and staff putting coasters - or saucers as she and Venus call them - over the cups instead of under them is starting to make more sense.
>Covens of witches, occultists, wild mages and practicioners of esoteric arts, who do all sorts of strange things with vitae, and see you as a threat and a source of power.
Why can't we be friends when we're all hiding our asses from the normies anyway? Like I know it sounds naive and stupid as fuck to ask this, but there must be a reason and I hope it ain't stupid as fuck too.
>>
>>97347642
>Does all that shit have a Masquerade too to keep the normies ignorant?
Kinda! The real-deal wizards have some sort of major compulsion against doing magic with normies seeing, but that's entirely outside of my wheelhouse, my coterie does its best to not ever interact with those weirdos. The wolves would gladly be out and about and exterminating us and Kine, but they don't have the numbers or the punch for it, so they hide instead, because most werewolves can't shrug off a 500-pound bomb blowing up in their face, and that's what they'll get if humans large-scale realize they have a big, furry, teethy ecoterrorist problem. Spirits just have a really, really, really hard time manifesting in the real world; that picture I posted is on the far more obnoxious and rare side of things, it just isn't meant to happen, but we live on special grounds, so we get a giant lightning-toucan setting fire to the woods. That said, I don't think spirits care much about secrecy. Other things like fae I'm not sure about, but there's a reason the world is as it is, so maybe there's some reason why they, or giant birds of prey, don't show up in the news.
Funnily enough, the Masquerade kinda helps all other paranormal things stay hidden: you don't want to have Kine figure out werewolves are real, because then they'll start to wonder about vampires. Best keep them secret, if you can.

>Huh? The fuck? Suddenly Mercury Lamp and staff putting coasters - or saucers as she and Venus call them - over the cups instead of under them is starting to make more sense.
Yeah, it's a bit of a nightmare. Not sure if every wolf can do the coffee cup trick, or, like this one guy I saw, leave a fight by 'walking' into their own sunglasses, but it happens sometimes, and you don't want it to happen to you. Notably, this ability has like zero representation in mass culture. All while in mass culture, vampires don't like reflective surfaces, mirrors, namely. Fun, huh?

>Why can't we be friends when we're all hiding our asses from the normies anyway?
Why can't all Kindred be friends, instead of infighting about the dumbest shit possible? Fear and hunger, with a heavy dose of paranoia.
Also, Kindred do work with human occultists, witches and so on, and they work with Kindred! Sometimes it works out fine. I'm tight with some clairvoyants, seers and so on all over a couple states. They worship the fucking ground I walk on, because I am a predictive supercomputer and they're cold-readers with a little touch of special something to them that makes their bullshit not just work, but actually let them grasp the future a little.

So, it does work out sometimes. But other times, a Tremere chantry kidnaps a group of occultists to turn them into fledglings or ghouls, depending on their potential, and sometimes a group of occultists kidnaps a fledgling to repetitively drain her of vitae, as to get lots and lots of powerful ingredients. Sometimes a vampire addicts a witch coven to his blood by exploiting their lack of knowledge about blood bonds, and sometimes a coven swindles a vampire out of his blood, gives it to a Tremere who uses it to through rituals spy on and maybe kill the vampire, and earn a commission for their services.

Want to roll the dice and see what happens when you try to work with a little herbal-alchemy cult, water their plants with your vitae in return for tinctures for your ghouls, build a decent working relationship, or would you rather just assume the worst, kill the most troublesome ones, ghoul the rest and enjoy your new help? For a lot of Kindred, the answer is obvious.

My choice of punishment for Boy Toy is the simplest, we just take turns slapping his face, how womanly! I can't get enough of how he looks at me when I hit him like a truck.
>>
>>97351516
I know what's that, it's an embraced werewolf!
>>97351883
Come whenever you want, I'm stuck home studying anyway.
>>
I went on patrol with Boy Toy, long story short, we were attacked by the abomination, we were able to overpower it with gunfire and silver weapons, ultimately he had to bite the monster and drain it from behind.

He kept shouting- no, howling at me to stake him, with his fangs out so I complied, I swear I saw Boy Toy move his eyes after being staked so I put a second stake in the right ventricle.

He's in the back of the car, I have my blade right here if there are any surprises, I'm having speech to text send this message, I'm taking him home.

I hate NYC so much.
>>
>>97357278
There are two ways this story ends:
1) if he is just drunk on werewolf-(like) blood, he told you to stake him so he doesn't frenzy, we'll take care of it;
2) if he Diablerized an abomination, I kill Boy Toy myself.

>>
I'm praying for Boy Toy. I live vicariously through your family, I don't want anything bad to happen to any of you.
>>
>>97357753
Me and Assoluta are trying to console both Blue Fairy and Scarlet, we had a little debriefing.

The first stake in Boy Toy's chest was wrongly positioned, it was under the aortic arch, that is the reason he was still able to move his eyes before the second stake was inserted.
In other words, there was a moment Boy Toy was perfectly free to move, but he was using the entirety of what force of will was left in him to stop himself from hurting her.
Only Boy Toy had stopped Boy Toy in that moment, not Blue Fairy, not the first stake.

Mamma Venus slapped Blue Fairy as soon as she carried Boy Toy inside, because she had immediately noticed this mistake, a mistake that could have costed the unlives of my girlfriend, Boy Toy's and many more unlives and lives, and Caine knows how many Masquerade violations in the process, not to mention the effort required to clean up that mess and restore her lost face in front of one or more Princes.

Blue Fairy hesitated and failed her elder brother in such an emergency. And what if she hadn't noticed those eye movements?

She's shocked. Mamma had never, ever hit her since the embrace. Not even once.

And to be perfectly honest, nobody in this house even knows the effects of an abomination's vitae, and this is assuming Diablerie didn't happen. Not even our guest Man of Florida, who is looking at our philosopher-operator with great concern.

We're using a stake in each ventricle and the most extreme "bondage" equipment we have, designed to immobilize kindred with a higher expertise in Potence than Boy Toy.
For want of a better plan, we'll try to let Boy Toy express his frenzy in a relatively controlled manner until we can probe his mind, if any is left. We cannot base our judgement just on the color of his aura, it would be unwise.

The closest thing to some good news is that Scarlet is so furious her eyes are bright red, perhaps this first expression of Protean is another lesson that was learned tonight.

Travel log #4 [Seattle, Washington State]-[*7/10]
>>>>>Pros
>An actual population centre for us, first one I've really been to since Toronto and almost getting murdered in Milwaukee.
>This place is thriving with life of every kind. Even if I'm kind of a dinosaur, my companion was able to bring me into the thick of it. It should be easy for any willing to play the Camarilla line to set up shop here comfortably.
>Just about every sort of clan has some present, most of them recent. If a fledgling needed to seek out their elders on relatively equal footing, you could do worse.
>That view across the water is something.
>>>>>Cons
>Currently there are ( 4 ) competing factions vying for the title of leadership in the city as a total gongshow recently transpired. Old Money pioneers, new money Sabbat adjacent technophiles, actual Sabbat from Mexico and Anarch exiles from California. Bit of a pain in doing introductions, and the rivalry is murderous. The Trems, Kuei, and Nos are also serious issues, though at least the Nos lent us a safe place to spend the day. Good bunch, I know you keep tabs here so you won't hear a bad word out of me.
>Despite the population there is an absolute gongshow of Loups nearby, beside a thriving hunter population apparently.
>Despite recently exploding, this town is like to explode again.
>A cult of Jugalo Malks tried recruit Mèo-Mèo and when she refused they tried kidnapping her. Mèo-Mèo also explained what a 'Jugalo' is and I'm... Well I- Never liked clowns.

Outside of the awkwardness of repeated introductions, staring into the deadpan face of inhumane psychopaths (with somehow the Sword of Caine Lasombra die-hard being the least disturbing) vying for control of a whole city, and the Clown incident... Not bad. I certainly prefer the seedier side of town to whatever the wannabe princes are doing. Although I could never live here.

Getting a good routine going. Down to Oregon next to see a... Friend? Maybe? If he made it, of course.
>>
>>97358153
Hm. No doubt the Loup would be happy to do the same. Such abomination don't form unless someone tries very hard to force something against very intrinsic natures. Or worse, takes the gifts of the Loups through violence.

Mercifully, the inverse of this... 'Abomination' doesn't happen. Your childe will either be savable or will expire. A small comfort.

If you could share info on the abomination and whatever made it, I'd like to pass it along to people who'd be interested.

>Such abomination don't form unless someone tries very hard to force something against very intrinsic natures. Or worse, takes the gifts of the Loups through violence.
Venus is busy calling her contacts, she said that when she is done "prying the wolf out of Boy Toy's brain" it will be Blue Fairy's turn, that she doesn't believe there was "much of an exchange of information between those three fools", and that she'd bet some Black Hand is involved.
An anon mentioned the NY abomination first here, I can guess why they wanted to stay anonymous.
>>
>>97358889
The lupines are trespassing my land again
>>
>>97359079
If it's really the Black Hand we're dealing with - and not a random freak accident where one unfortunate lupine becomes the embodiment of everything he opposes - we're going to need an army.
Not one or three coteries dressed in SWAT gear. An army.
>>
>>97359079
>>97359148
Even if the boogeymen of the Camarilla is involved they aren't the instigating element and they wouldn't be involved in creating something like this. I've met with exiles from western provinces where the Sabb made gains. They don't fuck around with science experiments or beat their chests, they go for the kill. Cut the head off local establishments and scatter the subordinates. If there is a threat it is beyond individuals, and you do best prepare.

Beyond words and intelligence, I can't offer much. I'm on the opposite side of the continent right now. Nor do I care to endanger mine.

>>97359109
Then the sky remains blue and the moon pale. To be fair though, depending on the Loups they might well have been there first.
>>
>>97359245
>They don't fuck around with science experiments or beat their chests, they go for the kill.

>>
>>97359245
Black Hand/Tal'mahe'Ra isn't involved from what little info I've been provided, they aren't the type to create an abomination let alone let it run free.

We discussed what to do with Boy Toy again after mom was done calling everyone, and we unanimously agreed to attempt an erythroexchange combined with a plasma exchange. If the problem is caused by abomination blood, we just had to replace it.
Of course we didn't drain the guy by ingesting that shit ourselves, but with a modernized version of the ancient medical practice of bloodletting, then squeezed some 17 blood bags and 4 liters of plasma in his mouth.

Mom asked big bro how "it" felt.

He told her the story of how he got the largest pelt for her coat. It was an old male Amur leopard which wasn't fertile anymore and behaved as if he was born in the wild.
He had his mates put that corner of the City That Never Sleeps to sleep by cutting off electricity, phone & internet network and so on. Boy Toy's target had escaped from the zoo and he had to chase it in a building. If anyone remembers that random couple of posts about an "agile piece of shit" in all caps >>97202586 >>97202612 and me telling him to turn the smartwatch off, that was the context.

Turns out Cope's been a buddy of his for a while, she used her mastery of her clan's Disciplines plus Dominate and her computer wizardry to make sure nobody in the flat would have memories of records of the incident.
Their date on the execution night on Orthodox Xmas plus two more nights was his way of paying her back. He's also paying for Scarlet's classes in Dementation, Obfuscate and psych by taking Cope for a ride in the snow with the 1300hp Subaru.

He then answered Mother's question: "That fucker's vitae tasted better than finally snapping the Amur leopard's neck after that long hunt in a dark urban jungle AND watching Mother 'fuck the lady in the mirror' with the finished fur coat AND our latest two SM orgies - combined."

Mom probed his memories then gave bro a big furry hug.

After reviewing the memories of my childer, the updated theory is that the abomination had to be a young lupine, this would explain how physically weak by werewolf standards it was. Man of Florida told me abominations struggle with using both Disciplines or Gifts, that too is consistent with how the fight went.
>>97358889
>If you could share info on the abomination and whatever made it, I'd like to pass it along to people who'd be interested.
>>97359706
>what kind of abomination it is
I had Mercury Lamp draw it from said memories, do you have any better idea than my clumsy speculations?
Because all I can think of is:
>Black Spiral Dancer becomes ronin over being too weak, but not weak enough to die instantly from being hunted by kindred, kine, lupines for and against Gaia
>Nosferatu (Antitribu?) adopts a cub but doesn't have anyone in his information network to tell them an embrace will kill or do worse to his beloved pet
>Stupid cub shook the tentacle of a Tzimisce
Regardless of how it came into being, just thinking about how many levels of "being rejected" an abomination must be on is giving me headaches.

On the subject of pain, Scarlet had her first Fortitude lesson from Princess Charming, and now she understands another reason why Ventrues would seek the company of an attractive lady, and ask her to do things to them.

Enraged by such disrespect, she played with his mouth, arse and prick. Nothing.

Probably smart, going by some files from an old caper, Wereblood is a nasty mix with Vampirism. Course it only mentions Aboms, Licks taking regular ass Wolfy vitae and assurances that it wouldn't mess with the boss' pet project that shouldn't be relevent here. Apparently nobody at this unethical pharaceutical/peteoluem shell company had the bright idea to see what drinking Abomination blood does. Or did and the fallout was so bad they scrubbed all records of the results. If that's the case, Boy Toy may get worse before he gets better. Assuming he doesn't split the difference.
How's his Aura look?
>>
>>97362385
>Boy Toy may get worse before he gets better.
It's why we all voted to get rid of all the abomination's vitae with the erythroexchange (hope I spelled that right, damn the Greeks) and plasma exchange, pretty much all the blood inside him is human now, and a couple drops from mom's foot, I guess. We gotta pay staff some extras this month.
>How's his Aura look?
I don't need an expert to know it looks like shit. Colors change between gray, green and brown, almost like a dancing camouflage paint really, and there's this like, inner layer, and it's orange and silver and black.
At least there ain't any black veins and for what's worth, the colors are still "vampire pale."
I asked my man if he's under some kind of transfixion or shit. He said: "I don't know."
Fucking hell.

Assoluta knee-clasped me and kissed my hand, and Blue Fairy kowtowed. I surrendered, and let Blue Fairy be in the same room as Boy Toy with nobody else.
They're haven't even said a word, she's just crying her eyes out.

Oh, he's crying too? I'll wait some more and have Assoluta sing the Liebestod from Wagner's Tristan and Isolde in there, then we go with Princess Charming plan.

Please ask Blue Fairy to leave the room, I want him alone for now, I'll take him shortly. The body of the abomination has been recovered. Testing will begin once Boy Toy is brought to Scholar. -Kakophoni
>>
In the mean time, tell me how Boy Toy usually acts, I want something to compare his current behavior to. -Kakophoni
>>
My plan was based on a simple concept: a dead white man's problem needs the help of more dead white men. Specifically philosophers, because I believed what Boy Toy needed was a philosophical consultation. Unlike other fields of knowing, ancient philosophy never really goes out of fashion, and I like my classics.

I had him examine this new belief that no pleasure was worth pursing but the vitae of an abomination.

First I led him to question whether there could be no greater pleasure between Heaven and Hell. I just had to keep repeating the skeptics' mantra: "You don't know that.", as well as the advertisers' mantra: "Would you care to try this?"

Second, I had him review what he compared that twice accursed vitae to. Those were mostly events in which he felt no "proper" pleasure for himself: chasing that rare big cat that put up a good fight (he doesn't like killing animals), watching Mamma trying to have sex with her own reflection, and one of the orgies in which he never saw any action, and was just tied up like a salami - the ladies were the ones having fun.

Where was the evidence that the peerless aesthetic experience he got out of drinking an abomination dry was due to the monster's blood alone, and the fight to get there had no part in it?

He had none.

He bested a dangerous exotic foe and protected an attractive exotic lady. Two male fantasies.
The fantasies of an eternally immature, young little man who worships women, with no hope of understanding women, and no hope of ever matching the fantasies and desires of women.

He needs women to experience pleasure so he can feel, and forgive himself for feeling, some amount of pleasure.

He's all yours. If my theory is right, he was going through the five stages of grief, the psychological model developed by studying terminally ill patients receiving the worst news possible.
Denial = being staked
Anger = frenzy
Bargaining = the "explanation"
Depression = silence & crying
Acceptance = now

Boy Toy is a manchild.
He has the kind of allegedly "manly" interests boys have such as firearms, cars and other machinery, extinct and extant megafauna, war and combat in their many forms, powerful figures of history, philosophy, women.
Despite my best efforts he is and remains irredeemably heterosexual, and an easy prey for manipulative ladies, I have to rely on a blood bond to make sure he comes back home and doesn't become the equivalent of an outdoor pet squished by a truck in search of love.
Like countless other masochists before him, he lived in a house where the father was a complete pushover and the mother was a control freak, he was scratched by a cat as a child, and spanked by a nun in Kindergarten.
In his own words, he was not a good boy, he was made into one. Before said spanking he would misbehave, from not sitting still, to trying to poke other children in the eyelids. Afterwards he was a saint with little to no idea how to fight back against verbal and physical abuse - a walking contradiction when he simultaneously came to like guns and martial arts and chivalry and whatnot.
His greatest wish was to subtract the suffering from women and make it his own.
His greatest fear was to become the kind of monster he believed he always was and kept running from throughout his life and unlife.
He depends on me for keeping said monster in check.
Ordinarily he's this guru figure who sells you trivia as sagely advice, but deep down I know what he truly desires. He feels guilty for being a monster and desires to be punished, that's his first priority whenever he thinks he does something bad, as if bending him over my knee and slapping his ass could make the world forget what happened.
If I made him sound spineless, he's not, he's competitive, he learned to say no and to fight back.
He's a good listener, patient, kind, a confessor even, somebody women can be vulnerable to and cry on the shoulder of.

Boy Toy is a good person who won't stop believing he's a bad one.
I forced him to watch Edward Scissorhands, he really identified with the protagonist, and felt wracked by second-hand embarrassment and guilt whenever Edward would innocently spill blood.
If you find he's not compliant, just find a woman to order him around, watch how easier everything becomes.

I need some information on the abomination, if possible. Specifically I need to know if the entity possessed ritualistic scars along the inner arms and thighs, and if possible there are multiple layers of 'skin' on the back. If there are it could be your horror was constructed. A Loup with "stolen hide."

None of the above. The wolf was not built, it was wrecked.

I pray you'll be as caring as his beloved Mother.
In case it is of any relevance, here's Boy Toy's character sheet. Due to a combination of factors, which also include being designed as NPCs, Venus in Furs and her childer tend to have... "a lot more" than what you'd expect from a vampire of their respective era.

For convenience's sake, I'm reposting Princess Charming's assessment of his appearance:

At first I couldn't see what Venus saw in him. Brown hair and eyes, stubble. 20s or 30s? Mamma Venus calls him a 'specimen', but when I think of a specimen, I think of a Toreador that turns lesbians bi, or men gay, not this guy. At long last I met somebody who understands the difference of doing philosophy and reciting a history of philosophy. At the party he greeted me by laying down on his face, stretching out and crossing his wrists and ankles. It took me a while, I'm not even that sadistic let alone into men, but when I rode his back together with my girl, I got it.
Update: Imagine a Johnny Depp in the 80s fused with a Christian Bale in the 90s, now this sounds too good, so make a poor man's version of it, then ruin it further with a stubble. Scarlet says he has an understated charm to him, he's supposed to be this Boy Toy next door, but for the unlife of me I do not comprehend this. His voice is on the higher end of tenor range, this gives his screams a pleasant and "comical" quality to the ears of the women of House Venus, who love to tease and torment him. He likes simple, direct, "manly" scents like Scotch pine, vetyver, eucalyptus or sandalwood, and avoids complex mixes.

So far he's been what I can only assume is normal, quiet and still, like waiting for instructions. From examination of his blood I've found a couple things:
1: toreador but not the purestrain toreador, meaning he's from a bloodline. I'd like to know which one as it will reduce the number of tests I'll run.
2: structurally it's different compared to samples from other abominations, what this means is currently unknown.
-----------------------------------------
When you fought the abomination, what was it's behavior and appearance? If you are able to recall that is. -Kakophoni

>I'd like to know which one as it will reduce the number of tests I'll run.
Is that the reason mom knows the Raqs sharqi dance from Egypt?
Blue Fairy is trying to insinuate they could be Ray'een al-Fen with this post. But she sends Kakophoni a DM saying:
"Yes yes we're Volgirre and you were going to find out anyway but please keep it in DMs and under wraps! Thank you~"

>When you fought the abomination, what was it's behavior
Some "behavior" it was. Just fear and rage and pain and suffering, he jumped in and started swinging without any provocation, warning, language or weapon. I wonder if he saw a glint of our silver at some point and felt threatened?

Off the top of my head:
an obviously sick creature
mostly black fur with way longer and lighter guard hair on the top of the head and upper back.
fucked up eyes shining of a yellow-grey, its right sunk deep in a broken orbit
angled distorted short nose
underbite, oversized canines, misaligned molars, slackjaw
pale, dry tongue
exposed ribcage on the front
thin abdomen
pointy ears like a bat
misshapen asymmetry galore: ears, arms legs of a different size, differently developed muscles (i.e. big biceps, small triceps, vice versa on the other arm)
multiple areas on the limbs, back had no hair or even skin, some obviously due to injury others less so
battle scars, not ritual
amputated pinky finger on left hand
the tail was just muscle and bone, some sections were cut off
revolting smell of rot a la Eau de Nosferatou™, Paris, hence mom thinking a Nos embraced it
I cannot exclude supernatural powers to appear scarier like we can do with Presence.

I almost forgot: even moving fast seemed to make it howl in pain, and when the damned thing died, it had a serene face like a good dog going to heaven.

It's ok. BTW, I'm in the EU if anyone cares, and I just wanted to mention V20's The Black Hand - A Guide to the Tal'Mahe'Ra has additional rules for Diablerie, and rules for abominations, I noticed abominations have besides the obvious Lunacy and Vulnerability to Silver (duh), also Conspicuous Consumption (ouch) and Infertile Vitae (so they can't embrace). They also tend to seek death, nonexistence, shouldn't they perform like shit in a contest of wills when Diablerized, if not straight up ragequit it?

Ah, doubt you two met, given that. Right circles, broadly, given your preferences for company, but the time and his personality don't quite help a potential meeting. He definitely was out of Europe by sometime in the early 1800s, and claimed to have left even earlier. Not sure he ever went back to the Old World for any reason, or bothered with social outings you'd possibly attend in the New; not impossible, but also not likely. From what I've seen of him - namely, his later years - he was a recluse. Left the caern rarely, mostly used me and the others as couriers and hands. You know that type of elder, probably.

Tall man, thirty-something, on the leaner side in frame, deeply unpleasant as a person. Did all sorts of tricks for his appearance, changed his face and his name, but the broad things were persistent. Loved his little charms and shit, round glasses, and in personality he was utterly inhuman, with general lack of usual bodily wants like sex or snacks or comfort. Neurotic, strict and controlling. This sort of a somewhat insectoid individual, all in all. Very, very focused type, obsessive, to a degree, but he'd definitely hide it outside of his domain. Very, very dead nowadays, this isn't a 'seen him lately' kind of question.

If you did in fact knew him privately, tidbits of any sort about him would be convenient, and feel free to publicize them here, even, I don't care whatsoever about his good name. Information on what the old fuck got up to before he got eaten by werewolves would be a great way to pay me and my coterie for our services and merchandise, greater than regular cash, favors or occult toys.

My history with the New World can be divided in three chapters:
- a series of fortunate business opportunities when in my mortal days, which began before the golden age of pinups and ended after my embrace;
- a series of visits in search of either the ancient wonders of architecture of pre-Columbian civilisations or modern, open-minded people;
- a series of unfortunate events ruining my attempt at a 2025-26 winter vacation, still ongoing.
I agree it's unlikely we met, unless he had a particularly close relationship with either the higher-ups in the New York Camarilla or my Tzimisce Antitribu friends in Brazil and elsewhere in Latin America - and I would find the latter case rather baffling, going by your description.

>the higher-ups in the New York Camarilla
Hm. Not super-likely. While he was a loyal part of the Pyramid, he was also a very autonomous part, sitting in a fucking caern, doing weird things to it and to his childer, which necessitated not getting too close to visiting clan higher-ups and overall keeping his head down, lest somebody finds out he's playing loose with the rules. Still, courtesy visits, clan duties and such may make it slightly possible.

>my Tzimisce Antitribu friends in Brazil and elsewhere in Latin America
This one I don't have any verifiable clue about, but I do have some of his notes on some varied Latin American happenings. Some are quite detailed, some are disparate and slight, there's heavy interest towards Shifter culture and places of power, as became his focus at a point, and some Tzimisce - not Antitribu, regular Tzimisce - activities and incidents.

That last part potentially could mean that he was keeping tabs on regular Tzimisce for the Antitribu, perhaps using a childe who was a seer like HalfSeeingEye; he called her a subpar replacement at times, would make sense. Why a mostly by-the-book Tremere would do that, though... Needing to borrow notes on caern management from somebody? Wanting to learn flesh-shaping, as to do his face-swapping trick? Lots of options. We didn't have many Tzimisce, Antitribu or otherwise, show up here in search of their missing pen pal, so I'm assuming it was at best a working relationship.
>Imagine a version of the European Parliament
I'd rather not even go this far.

>Again, I don't suppose I have the information you seek, but I wish to thank you for the conversation, I can always use a distraction in these trying times.
Eh, it was not a high chance regardless, and if I really wanted to know more about the fossil who made me into a vampire, I'd probably try and summon some ghosts, not chat up strangers. Happy to help, though, and charmed that you think I'm distracting enough.

If we have time to mourn, we have time to work towards paying the bills and winning some bread, for the staff of course, and as Princess Charming always says, there is no such thing as a free lunch.
Boy Toy is far from the first childe that didn't come back home on time, I train them- I train you, in the hope you have a better chance to survive and make a difference, but this world, the genuine article, is merciless and goes out of its way to fuck you up.
Perhaps your Sabbat owners didn't teach you this, but on this side of the Masquerade, there is no 'normal' to 'go back' to.
Even in the deepest and most depressing solitude, you are always keeping the company of the one monster you can never get rid of, and it's you, the real, the innermost, you.
Nothing in here qualifies as 'normal.'

Ultimately, Kindred die painful, brutal, sudden, dramatic deaths all the time, and suffer strange, horrid, painful, life-alftering incidents just as often. It's something you get used to, and have to live with, no way out of that. Some people go too far into it, turn into horrid little gremlins who just don't care about anybody else whatsoever. And some people just focus on channeling their care into productive things. That last part is the best practice, albeit I am biased a bit because I got cooked alive recently, and my darling siblings put me back together instead of shrugging and tossing me into the sunlight. Very caring of them.

The bottom line is, if you care deeply for Boy Toy, the best thing you can do is to focus on ways to actually help your family help him. Freaking out, bawling, shrieking, and acting rashly won't help. Letting his predicament get to you won't help, in general.

At what point should we worry not only for Boy Toy's sake but for Kakophoni's too, and for whoever is nearby? I can't imagine how difficult this must be.
>>97370230
Don't think I will ever forget he saved me from a final death, or a worse fate.
It's very early for me too, but the older we get, the more people we'll have to say goodbye to, or never hear from again. It's a frightening idea but at some point we may become all too used to this, but for now, I want you to believe me when I tell you I am not indifferent.

>Whose in charge of the Sabbat? I couldn't tell you because the Sabbat are butchering each other on the regular.

Pfft.

It used to be better, apparently. Back in the 80s.
More in line with Southern Mexico and Quebec where the general hierarchy was respected, even if you had the organs of the sect being in a soft power struggle. The problem with Portland over the past few decades was having three very different breeds of vampire that are all eating each other alive. The people who actually believe in the Sabbat, the people who despise the Camarilla/tremere, and the ones just looking to 'climb the latter closer to Caine.'
Everyone looking out for themselves, maybe seven or eight would be Bishops? It's Hell.

You don't know the half of it. The entire situation in Portland? Entirely avoidable. Just engage in the correct Ritae. Carve up the city and/or engage in Monomacy where there are perceived descripencies.
Except, nobody in Portland is doing that. And when they do that, their dipshit followers aren't accepting the fucking results. Of single combat. To final death!
>>
>>97373450
Maybe. But the moment the situation started with the Lasombra master getting eaten by a paraplegic junior? (And somehow that mother fucker is still holding on leading the demi-anarchs, bless his heart.) That shit was doomed brother. No amount of personal combat was going to fix it without a centre.

Not that it can't work. Back in Milwakee, Stake Duels were a default for the enforcers and the tyrant prince in settling things 'civilly', but that fucker being a control freak was what kept order.

That's prolly nothing, Toreadors aren't a clan known for prophetic dreams. Most likely it's just a psychological thing, a result of you worrying deeply about him and the way things can unfold, so don't let it get to you.
That said, I could do a reading for you, see what the cards say about Boy Toy and his future? Try and alleviate your concerns about him turning into a squared abomination or something, eating all of you.

That, and if Lavender kicked it somebody else would have to be the caern custodian. And, therefore, the one getting haunted by a vast lightning-toucan spirit. We're better off with him alive. Kakophoni,
I'm trying to ask more nicely than what Venus would do, before she does it, but we really really really need news on Boy Toy. Please.
Imagine taking a loved one, a boyfriend, a brother, a son, to the Emergency Department and there ain't no communication from the hospital for multiple days and nights. Our ghoul nurse says ED personnel spends more time "treating" the family more than some patients.
What's happening? What's he look like? Man?Wolf? Is he awake? Alive? He ever spoke? Recovering? Critical? Did you have somebody else take care of him?
Also, he posted here he was fleshcrafted once, sot this ain't the first time he changed shape against his will, or into something he didn't like.
Even if he's stuck in that state and ain't got either worse or better, and the news are there ain't no news, just tell us something, anything.
And if he died, we're ready, we won't blame you, don't sugarcoat it.
I'm begging you, Kakophoni.

My concern is that he may no longer function not only as a Toreador, or even just a quirky member of the Camarilla - but as a vampire and predator.
In my dream he was about as mindless a serial killer as the dog we tried to put down, there was no art to the fucked up savagery he did, a monster even the worst of us kindred, even a Baali's supernatural sugar daddy would have contempt for.
I mean, go for it. The cards definitely know more than I do.

Okey-dokes! Five questions, five cards, a moderately-invasive sort of scrying. Not too complex, not too shallow. Bear in mind that the cards sometimes play it coy, and sometimes the potent sorcery within them is misled away by sufficiently powerful antagonistic force, but I doubt this is going to be the case.
>Boy Toy's current state?
Judgment - reverse. Fear of change; stagnation; refusal to awaken.
>The cause of it?
Four of Cups - upright. Dissatisfaction; apathy; boredom.
>Key to treatment of it?
Seven of Swords - reverse. From lie to truth; break of deception; reveal of secrets.
>Should it be treated at all?
Death - upright. Transformation; letting go; new beginnings produced by abandoning something.
>What does the future hold for him, whether short-term or long-term or at scale of eternity?
Ten of Swords - reverse. A card debated pretty often, and I sometimes get the feeling it's outright indecisive, in my case.
I go with this meaning:
Relief; recovery; end of pain.

So, all in all we have an interesting set of cards. I could try and produce an interpretation of them, or let you and your family draw your own conclusions. Your choice, dollface.

I actually pull cards for these, by the way, not picking them myself, so the question for Boy Toy's state getting a card meaning stagnation is entirely organic and not forced. Same for that the key may be a stop to a deception, and he's a secret diablerist.

Venus came into my room at the worst moment. "Are you playing with your... shadow, darling?"

Fuck's sake. That's how Princess Charming feels when she raids her place.

"Was your first plan something boring, like shadow puppetry, to entertain the dolls? Now it's masturbating? I thought you should get to have some fun, but you don't get to keep all of it by yourself, oh no you don't, missy~"

She ain't got finished yet with her lecture, then I freezed on the spot, then I, like, disappeared? I think I legit went poof? The fuck?

"Ahaha! Obfuscate? Was the shame too great? I can still sense your aura. Come out and play, naughty girl."

So we played. We sat on the bed and she groped the shadowy tentacle I had on my pubis.

"Make it warmer. Yes, that's better."

She wrapped her lips around it. I ain't ever seen Venus in Furs and her mink bent down like that before, or doing fellatio.

"A valuable asset in any woman's arsenal... Mmmh~ Between a career in pin-up modeling, and rewarding exceptional good boys... I just had more time to practice than most ladies."

I asked her if that's what it's like to be a guy, she licked the dark mass and went: "The point of view ish his, but your equiphment ish better, vigoroush, never goesh limp, uhn~ Alwaysh the right shize."

She pushed me onto my back. She rode it- more like "rode me." Tits and mink coat bouncing up and down.

"Aaaaahn~ Ooohhh~ How does it feel, honey? Like losing your virginity again?! Aha! Ahahahaha!"

Like sure it was hot, men would kill for something like it, I myself would kill for more, but on that bed, I didn't know what to feel, my humiliation grew and grew.

"When I read, I forget. When I see, I understand. When I do, I learn. That is how I teach my childer. And now you know the other reason men watch their back when a Lasombra dame is nearby - unless they're kinky~ like your boyfriend~"

She gave me a hug and lost of kisses for aftercare. I too am becoming something else, Boy Toy. Why did you leave me...

Abandon the present, get the new. Quit a job to reclaim your freedom, and find a new one. Cut a relationship, forge one. Accept the reality of your loss, embrace the grief, let it wash over you, and cleanse itself from your system, so you could love anew.

Kill a woman, infect her with a prehistoric parasite, and you get a corpse masquerading as if it's not. Putting on fishnets and purple lipstick and big wizard hats, cheekily telling people their futures and playing up the goth girl act because she knows oh-so-much, and life's no fun when you know oh-so-much.

Burn a tree. The tree turns to ash. The ash is life for other plants - so your harvest is yet more bountiful for having burned the tree.

Now, what could Boy Toy, or his family, give up, to try and feed something new with the ashes, whether metaphorical or literal? And what does 'freedom through sacrifice, new beginning through destruction, life through death' mean in the context of a man horrendously afflicted with a strange sickness? That's not me egging on an outcome, before you accuse me of something like that. It's just me explaining what the card says.
>>
Boy Toy is dead, he destabilized and, for lack of a better term, fell apart.
Not entirely surprising given the circumstances though, most abominations don't last long due to a functional defect with both shifter blood and kindred vitae. Before he died I found that he was mimicking, my guess was even when alone with Blue Fairy and both were crying he was mimicking. It's unknown to me the reason for mimicking but I assume it's a coping mechanism for the spiritual, physical and mental pain he was experiencing. Like a Grounding Technique to hold on to something. When we found him dead he was little more than black viscous sludge and rotted flesh as his body was ruined inside out once he died, We chalked that up to the nature of the abomination, as we were unable to identify the clan or bloodline of origin for the abomination's vitae. There's a distinct lack of markers in the abomination that Boy Toy drank, not impossible as it could've been a Caitiff but the potency and the way it was attached to the shifter blood suggests otherwise as the structure of it is, to put it simply, crude. Like someone tried recreating vitae and shifter blood then fused them together or forcing a shifter to become imbued with vitae through unnatural means ie surgery. There's no signs of a proper binding agent hence the instability. This indicates that it wasn't a shifter that was embraced as such a combination wouldn't have such effects as the shfifter would most likely die once turned. The state of the abomination as told from Blue Fairy is similar to a shifter Scholar encountered once, a so called "Mockery Breed", an artificial shifter created by a cult to hunt natural shifters. These Mockeries are often diseased and starved looking creatures often in extreme pain and rarely are smart enough to talk, acting akin to rabid dogs. Now the presence of vitae raises more questions but I won't bother you with those. 1/?

His soul seems to have "burned out" which caused the destabilization in the first place. I'm not versed enough in such matters so I can't weigh in much.
In short: Boy Toy's dead, nothing left to bury, and his last moments were unknown as it's unknown when he got disconnected and the body began automatic functioning.
There was nothing either me or Scholar could do once we realized his condition. As skilled as Scholar is, such damage is beyond his ability to repair.
-Kakophoni
>>
Scholar spent most of the time with him, being the most experienced, I was sent to work on the abomination as I couldn't get anywhere with Boy Toy. And there you have it. The cards, in response to a question about whether it's worth it to try to treat Boy Toy, suggest that you might as well simply let go and accept the loss of the present, as to build something new, and Boy Toy's revealed to be dead, shortly after. It could've been something like 'as a family, sacrifice parts of yourself to reclaim Boy Toy', or 'cut ties with the makers of the abomination, burn them to release their grip on Boy Toy', or 'give up lives of others to keep his through a forbidden ritual', or something else more positive, but wasn't, evidently. Death is Death, still.
I'll set a candle for Boy Toy tonight, see if the spirits of the caern feel like playing nice about it.
>>97377476
Would heads of one, or three, or any other good number of those be a valuable offering to use for pacifying very upset shifters and their spirit patrons? Our diplomacy's getting nowhere, and we'd like to not have thunder-toucans try to cook Lavender again.
>>
>>97377575
Not sure if they'd be impressed, from what little I've interracted with shifters they at best hates us less than mockeries but only barely. What did you do to upset them?

>>97377548
not sure about most of those, all I've learned is that there are a variety, all from an unknown source, with varying degrees of intelligence. I wouldn't say stealing the gift, it's more like someone is trying to recreate it. the Mockeries I've dealt with tend to be sickly looking wolves until they get close to a shifter then they shift into the warform but otherwise lack intelligence beyond instinct and even then I've only encountered 3 on 2 sperate occasions and one of those I was meeting with a wolf that was somewhat amicable and that was purely because I was representing Scholar, though after I assisted in defending them from two Mockeries that got close they seemed to me a little nicer, if only a little. -Kakophoni

>What did you do to upset them?
I mean, me personally, not a lot? But my and Lavender's sire took over a really major caern in the Rockies and held onto it for centuries, until the Week of Nightmares when some dumb fucking European arch-enemy of his puppeted a whole bunch of shifters into attacking the caern, all to get at him. Both him and his hate-partner died stupidly and horribly, and me and his other childer hold onto the caern to this day. Way we figure, if we just leave it, the Garou will retake it and then hunt us down in revenge for all the corpses and dishonor and whatever. So, we're holding onto it instead, trying to figure out a permanent solution to our predicament. They've slowly ramped up how often they show up, culminating with the recent time a raven shifter showed up, somehow brought a fucking thunder toucan out, had that thing set fire to the woods, and a while later what I presume to be its champion, a wolf, showed up to try and cook Lavender. Succeeded, kinda, took us a lot of effort to fix him up. I've posted the pic of the divine toucan up there somewhere.
We've all been trying to figure out ways to get the Garou to accept peace with us in return for the caern and other goodies, but they don't really do diplomacy, especially since we keep killing the dipshits they send our way. Bit of an impasse, so I'm wondering if enough heads of their enemies would satisfy the wolves, or they'll still hate us.

>I don't suppose you've seen a specific sigil of the attackers in question?
The groups attacking us aren't from just a single tribe, and I'm only mostly confident that they're even particularly cooperative in their attempts to kill us. By my estimates, if they literally just waited, grouped up and coordinated better, we'd be dead or driven out of the caern; while we're a strong coterie, with some special powers courtesy of the caern's still very lively nature, we're just a coterie, and they're lots and lots of Garou. Yet they're trickling in, sometimes even sending singular, young fighters our way, as some sort of a weird fucking trial, almost. It's strange.

In terms of warbands, there's ones that are typically heavy on Uktena and Wentiko, and then there's heavily mixed-tribe groups featuring both the first two, and most other clans. For instance, there's ever now and again Glass Walkers and Bone Gnawers, typically fucking with whatever operations we get up to in cities near the caern, at times right when we're too busy to respond, sugggesting a decent amount of coordination. Shadow Lords tend to be present in the mixed-tribe set of warbands often, which is probably somehow connected to the fucking thunder toucan, as HalfSeeingEye gracefully put it. It's a spirit with a presence in the area, it does lightning, they like lightning. Maybe they're the ones pulling together diverse clan groups to try and get the caern, being the most interested in it outside of Uktena and Wentiko, either of whom would make sense as its original owners.

HSE's betting her money on some sort of fucky, complex, layered Garou politics going on, to explain the warband makeup and the lack of coordination, but since we have very few ways of influencing those politics, it's all angry ten-foot-tall wolves to us. None of them ever respond very well to diplomacy, anyways.
