What are your thoughts on this?I have never been a die hard fan of greek mythology but I do not dislike itMy group wants to run a long campaign with this starting january
Waow, the World's Greatest Roleplaying Game did a crossover with the card game owned by the same conglomerate!?? Shut up and take my money, I need to consooooom!!!
>>97272541Extremely anemic 5e setting not worth wiping your ass withYou could probably come up with something better
>>97272541It's been repeatedly stated that, as written, D&D 5e can do everything you want it to, even by people on this very board. So why would anyone need to buy this book?I won't get a straight answer to this question.
>the correct spelling is right there in the image>blithering retard shill still spells it wrong
>>97272634My brain just tells me "two letters repeat in oddisey" and I go with it.
>>97272541Even in the context of a 5e splatbook, the main thing of value within that book was the Piety rules for tracking devotion to a particular god. But even those are a little iffy. It doesn't even do the best job of delving into the details of the setting, sparse as they are.I can almost entirely promise that anyone with a high school understanding of Greek mythology could probably come up with a better bronze age fantasy setting by themselves.Even if for whatever reason you wanted to stick with Theros specifically, you'd probably get more mileage out of just looking up the four Theros sets on Scryfall and just going off of the art and flavortext. But again, you're competing with pic related in terms of originality. It's better than the Strixhaven book, but that's about all the praise I'll give it.
>>97272541>Theros>literally white (man) god bad, black girlboss goddess good the setting
>>97272622Nobody would need to buy this book. There's your straight answer.
>>97272963>that>blackGet your eyes checked. And that's not getting into the fact that Klothys is presented as antagonistic.
>>97272622>So why would anyone need to buy this book?alright, lets see>i dont feel like coming up with a homebrew setting>this one right here seems interesting enough>maybe i even actually outright want to play in there because i know it from MTGthis isnt rocket science. What kind of answer are you expecting?
>>97272963You didn’t read the story if you thought the god destiny was the hero
>>97273205>You didn't read the storyWell, yeah, nobody did. They didn't publish it.
>>97272541>>97272940>>97273106Honestly, Odyssey of the Dragonlords was far more interesting. Both as a setting, and an actually fully fleshed out campaign.
