Not a direct request, but anyone know why The Price of Arrogance campaign for 7th Sea hasn't been released yet? I saw print copies at GenCon 2025 and the Kickstarter has been fulfilled (deliveries confirmed).

Is there a licensing issue? I know Chaosium licensed development the game to Studio Agate, who are currently working on a third edition.

Just seems weird - any new welcome. I'll contact Chaosium as well and report back.

Thanks. I just swapped emails with Chaosium, and they confirmed they will not be selling it. They said it's Studio Agate IP and to get it from them or their distributors.

As you mention, Studio 2 has the campaign on their storefront, but not the companion book 'Ports of Call'. The French versions of both books are on Scribd and Google Translate does a good job for both, but I was looking forward to getting the native English versions.

The game seems to be firmly in the "we got a license so we can print sales" thing. Which, to be fair, are most licensed games. It's why I normally avoid them. But, I thought since they made Shadowrun, they would be reputable.

My shadowrun playing friends set me straight on the matter. It looks like it's lacking rules to make your own shit and a lot of vital crap. So, it's basically just a big quickstart with 2/3rds of the book devoted to a wikia dump.

Four Against Darkness. There's a recent gf link with the books.
The game is used for solo, but it can be used by a group. It's a ultra-simplified DnD, and besides the scenarios, there's procedural rules to crete dungeons crawls, so even without an scenario it's kinda automatic and very low effort for the gm (or you can even play it without a gm, since the dungeon crawl rules are procedural). The standard dungeon crawl in solo mode takes 45 min, so it fits the lunch break.

In a similar vibe, you have Mythic Bastionland. Very simple and fast (Into the Odd system), and based on procedural hexploration with lots of tables, so even without an scenario, the story generates itself. Another one is His Majesty the Worm, which uses cards instead of dice and generates a dungeon crawling through tables.
