Most art in most books has gotten safer and safer over the years. Very few games do anything provocative or dark. Even re-releases or revamps of older things get new art that wipes away anything with a little edge or focused autism. Savage worlds, symbaroum, the alien rpg, D&D, etc. all kind of suffer since their art or writing has become blander over time.
