Night elves.
is there any particular reason you're filling the thread with night elves or did you just feel like it?
>>97318544Ask OP.
>>97317962> I sure could use some more Arrianne art to lessen the woe of such plights..https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JdqBmeg4XmY>If Coathe said it was okay to kill them would it be go time?Coathe would never. He is dislikes confrontations.
>>97318601Aaah...I know who this is. I worked for this guy. Did a couple of drawings of his character.
>>97318614Lmao, this is not the first time some anon personally knows the guy whose art I'm dumping. The world is small.
>>97318620He did commission a lot of artists. His friends too. I wouldn't be surprised. Wow roleplayers really like their character art.
Tell me about the elves you play in your games.
>>97318604Hot dang thats real niceIf he dislikes confrontation this must be absolute hell for him
4chan really should force you to type something before you post an image. Image spamming is just boring.
>>97318812>noldorfag being annoyingmore news at whatever the fuck your time is +1 hour
>>97318604City of Brass anon here, through their intense passivity and just overall being pieces of cardboard my group managed to make the only elf (even if he a half-elf) quit the game. Honestly this allowed me some reflection. This is a terrible fucking group when all together. They don't communicate with each other between sessions, and worse it requires repeated prodding for me to get them to do simple things like downtime (even to just say they don't wanna use it). Some of it might be wanting to not "hog the spotlight", but that only goes so far.>The barbarian just sits there doing nor saying anything, and seems allergic to any kind of hook dangled before him.>The paladin is only half present, chores keeping him moving about and so not at the PC, yet barely seeming to be paying attention via his phone. >The former druid now warlock is a back-seating jackass that wants to plan out his characters arc precisely as if he's creating a Pathfinder 2e build, and seemed resistant to my suggestion that he wait and see what comes up in the game.>The monk is okay, she just wants to punch shit.I'd sent them a thing just referencing some of what I'd noticed, telling me to not be afraid of "taking up" the spotlight and also setting expectations for the rest of the campaign. Honestly? If none of them reply, I'm just gonna end things.
>>97318812.
I played three very racist elves yesterday
>>97321022Solo RPG?
So if you slap the booty of an Elf how does she react anons?
>somebody actually mentioned games!>quick, make some shitty pornbrained no-games prompt to distract them!
>>97321187First time on /tg/? :^)
Botted.
Elves with guns > Elves with bows
>>97321226Gun elf was my ever first elf character. In Shadowrun
>>97321152No, we were three people playing (GM, two players).Tunnels and trolls is written with the assumption that every player controls 2-4 characters.
>>97321290Huh, interesting.I guess that's the natural conclusion when the assumption is that characters can die often?
Warcraft elves have shit tier aesthetics, please stop spamming images of them.
>>97321308Haven't played it enough to tell, but the combat system is a pretty cool dice pool mechanic that heavily abstracts combat into a combined attack roll vs attack roll for both sides. The result after subtracting the larger value from the smaller is the total damage to the entire side that gets split between all participants on that side. I.e six damage on a party of six deals one damage to each member. Constitution is hit points.Turned out that our guys were pretty good at fighting so they didn't take any damage in our encounters, but yes the game can probably be pretty lethal
>>97321549Warcraft has shit aesthetics full stop.
>>97321903Intredasting. Nothing elf-related, but had once a pipedream idea for a homebrew game for samurai-adventures. Combat either being 1vs1 duels, or group combat (players vs whatever group), abstracting the group combat to one or a few rolls. Just couldn't think of a good way to represent the players actions without rolling a million x Shadowrun amount of dice.
>>97321917True enough. I hate how that cancerous artstyle infected Starcraft as well. Og starcraft had kino visuals while Starcraft 2 just looks like warcraft in space.
early Japanese dnd was something
>>97318413Isn't this thread... kinda completely antithetical to /tg/ culture? Is this just some Reddit refugees trying to astroturf?
>>97322645please describe /tg/ culture
Traditional games.
>>97322829Elves are faggots, dwarves are based gigachads.
And yet, he is in this thread.
>enter thread>half of it is filteredI see our resident autist had one of his meltys early.
>>97323117dwarves are THE redditors choice thoughbeight>fat>obsessed with beards>obsessed with hipster beers>"I fucking love science"-types>"safe" masculinity (being a proud doormat)>entire identity is 4 unfunny memes repeated endlessly >troon friendly as is common with reddit a loud minority keeps circlejerking into thinking they're the majority which is why dwarf fags are so confident while in actual fact elves are much more popular character picks
Going insane, must have deleted it.Does anyone have the pic of this but with dwarf vs elf? I remember it joking about the dwarf being a manlet by displaying the empty space above their head.
>>97323157That really does perfectly encapsulate dwarf lovers v elf lovers doesn't it
>>97318716One could almost say they're in Hell...>>97320415Just end this at this point and form another group with the Monk. Make a short campaign to test new players.
>>97323117A based gigachad doesn't have to tell everyone else he's a based gigachad
>>97323628>new playersYeah that's the plan, these people ain't gonna reply to shit. The monk, the wizard who left. He knows someone who is interested. Then I'll go from there. How long has your game with Arrianne being going again, anyhow?
>>97323628Maybe all they need to do is get a demon lord to invade the world properly so they can hitch along for the ride and get back home
>>97324005>the planGood Luck>How long has your game with Arrianne being going again, anyhow?I think it's about 2 years now...but our DM said we have "only a few sessions left". Game should've ended much earlier but there were about 5=6 months that we missed due to scheduling. I'm working on rotating problem players out.Ferris player in next in rotation to DM. She has some literal clown show brewing up and gonna run it in 5e. I don't like it, but she's more familiar with it so I'm gonna play a bard.
>>97324492>wis 18:>random cyrillic for crafting bread and... somethingI'm confused.
>>97324543Why is WIS 18 confusing you?Cyrillic is just a gag about local bakery>>97324033One can hope but demons are busy pillaging the city that was cast into Hell that we're trying to save.
>>97324647What were the plans to save it so far?
>>97321917>Warcraft has shit aesthetics full stop.Heretical to this thread, but I actually dig the Dark Iron Dwarf aesthetic. Stands out a bit more from the rest. Must've been an accident.
>>97324803I think the older official warcraft art, say wc2-3 early metzen stuff some early wow art, that had a real grittiness to it that was quite nice. Less stupid silly huge pauldrons and hammers. A real raw and lived in sort of feeling, that sadly isn't coming back.
For me, it's Samwise.
>>97324891>A real raw and lived in sort of feelingI think that a lot of art is missing this these days; everything's too damn clean. A trait that infects other media as well. I think most of this is just because of the so-called "competency crisis", but also because artists are increasingly not taught art in non-digital mediums. Before, if the artist made some sort of mistake by drawing a couple of off-center lines on a shield, they could repurpose that into what appeared to be battle damage, thereby telling the smallest of stories about where this shield has been and who may have used it in the past ("happy little accidents"). With someone who is taught their art in a digital medium, artists will often just erase or Ctrl+Z it away. That's not to say that digital media can't emulate or even replicate these sorts of phenomena, but it may be something a lot of modern artists are either unaware of or find little importance in doing.
>TQThey probably don't, why would they? Elves act the way they do because they're fundamentally different beings that occupy their own spaces. What uses would, say, a Halfling have of Elven wisdom?
>>97324737We needed to find a magical sword and cut the chains that are dragging the doomed city into river Styx. Last session we found it and now someone needs to sacrifice himself to wield it. It will probably be Frost or Amy.
>>97324492My game has been going for a little over a year and a half. Playing bi-weekly definitely slowed it down, though it obviously was also a test of my patience without realizing it.>>97324492>5eEh... it'll probably be fine. Is it gonna be an elf?
>>97325733Surely Arrianne can convince Amy not to do it, or maybe mix a sleepy pastry to knock her out. Maybe Ferris will convince Frost hes the only one good enough to wield the magic sword just so he can leave Hell. Unless someone can summon something to wield it lol. Theres not a cool mysterious stranger from a previous city pulled into Hell that has managed to survive walking around despite the odds?>>97325037Well said. >>97324993Another solid piece there
>>97318413>To what extent do elves share their wisdom and experience with other races to help them emotionally and psychologically?I believe that elves would generally not be opposed to the sharing of wisdom with those who approach them for it, but they generally wouldn't go out of their way to share wisdom with other races. If you want elf wisdom, though, you'd better stay humble. They'd be quick to eject anybody from their debate halls and libraries for annoying them.Non-zero amount of buffer states propped up by elves as an attempt to make non-elves more elfy, though.
>>97322623Indeed they were! I would love a D&D adventure with this style of art.
>>97323223Look at the OP, of course he did.
>>97325738>it'll probably be fine.We shall see. It will be her first time running a game.>Is it gonna be an elf?I think not. I would like to avoid playing elves for some time and do other races. I haven't decided yet. Looking at small races like halflings, gnomes...stuff like that. I already played a frog, a rat and a kobold and it was mighty fun.>>97326703>Surely Arrianne can convince Amy not to do itThe thing is - Amy as character is the best candidate for the sword. She is extremely religious, has a savior complex and doesn't fear death (as in literally Ferris's magic fuckup made Amy fearless of death). So it's logical that Amy would pickup the sword.Frost as a candidate is our other guy, because an evil necromancer lady told Frost she will help him find his father (and who owns Frost's soul) if he agrees to deliver the sword to her. He has developed a blind obsession with finding out his own origin (he is a spawn of a human mother and probably some fire demon) and has become pretty reckless about it too. So the two of them are the only ones with a proper reason to wield the sword.Ferris is an evil bastard that fears death to the point of selling his soul for knowledge how to craft a phylactery.Arrianne is good at heart but also too cowardly to sacrifice herself for the greater good.Coathe is also a pacifist and a cowardNext session (which is very soon) we have to decide who picks up the sword. And we also get a lvlup and Arrianne will become very angy (I'm taking one level barbarian)
>>97318413Traditional games?
>>97328385No thread question is ever about actual systems or campaigns. For a reason.
>>97328385remove the spam and most of this thread is actually game recaps
>>97324647>Why is WIS 18 confusing you?She seems prone to acting unwise.
>>97318700Cenarius my homeboy
>>97328759I don't agree. The fact a simple baker survived in hell for 4 months surrounded by enemies is proof of her wisdom.
>>97329913And the fact that she got there in the first place is a proof of what exactly?
>>97330013Being wise is not the same as being educated. She will have a certain mage hung for this if she ever gets out of hell.
>>97328318Hmmm well it sounds like Frost would end up challenging Amy for the sword for his obsession. Then does it make sense for Amy to accept the challenge in the interest of doing it herself even though someone else wants to do it. Or preventing this evil necromancer lady from eventually having the sword. You said its to cut chains dragging the city down, is there anything stopping the person who cuts the chains from grabbing onto the chains that are still attached to the city lol? I mean they'd have to hold on or climb up the chains as it ascends I suppose, but maybe thats doable.
