/tv/ said you guys have poker threads but I don't see any
Poker? I barely knew her!
I was thinking of making a thread actually since I played a game with friends recently and got absolutely rinsed. What's the secret? How do I get better at this game?
>>97325626Pretty rarely. /tg/ is a board in over a decade of severe decline, however. /v/ and even a shithole like /x/ are healthier.
>>97325812If you think /v/ is better than here it probably means you're one of the people whose immigration to this site has caused its decline. /v/ is awful.
>>97325774Always bet on black
>>97325774just be more lucky bro
>>97325774There's standard strategy/basic strategy guides written up for every gambling game, that if memorised and applied, statistically increases your long term ability to win more than you lose. Then there's the massive vibe check of feeling out if people are bluffing or not, and bluffing yourself to take advantage of people's knowledge of standard/basic strategy.
>>97326166No, he's right. It has the numbers to withstanding brigading. The downside is it needs constant janitorial cleanup.
>>97325774I've rinsed some buddies for money before. Some guys are really hard to read, but trying to think about how the other players at the table interact with each other is a good starting point. The other part is just hoping you flop a pocket pair/three/4 parts of a flush, because then you can ride out the turn and the river and might see your hand get better as the hand goes longer.
>>97325812It wouldn't be in decline if the Thulsa Doom posters weren't banned. T&A kept the wheels on.
>>97328439Agreed. Cheesecake threads and BITCHES are board culture.
>>97326166Actual discussion of games happen on /v/, and spamming faggots get bans. There's plenty of shitposting, mostly shitposting, but at least some of it is actually funny rather than the argument-for-abortion 'how are forks in your game' autists, 'look, a NIGGER in your WARHAMMER' guys, and puckee we get here.
