>>97330462You have no table, no models, and no friends
So anti 40k demoralization discord what’s the issue? Too small?
>>97330484Too symmetrical, too small, still esports slopIts objectively a shit table
>>97330462Decent amount of painted, playable terrain, matching battle mat, table with space on the sides. Thats a nice little gaming table.
>>97330462Looks like a perfectly fine table for smaller games, to me. Consistent, built, painted. Nice on them.>It's not as good as others I've seen! Not everybody has a lifetime to dedicate to their hobbies. Getting it done at all is a good job to be proud of.
>>97330498It looks like white noise.
Has this anti 40k demoralization discord ever been proven as real
>>97330473>>97330484>>97330498>>97330518>they really do
>>97330462It's a perfectly acceptable table for the kind of game 40k is. I'd have no problems playing on it and honestly, neither should anyone else. Who the hell are you to shit on this guy's dreams, just because he doesn't dream of some model railroad autism battlefield diorama?
What’s with the meta for the last 3 years and crying about Warhammer tables you find online
>>97330530What do they do, anon? You've forgotten to include an object, in your sentence.
>>97330523Nope. It's funny because when they complain about some discord boogyman they are exposing themselves as being Nuhammer fans and not OG Warhammer players. Real Warhammer fans that didn't start in 9/10th edition know that Warhammer fans and players have always hated GW, and GWs biggest critics have always been 40k players. Only Nuhammer kiddies think you have to worship your corporate master if you like the setting or game
>>97330537
>>97330462needs some scatter terrain.>but our cover rules are too shitty for it to matter!damn. still needs it.
>>97330546Kek bro compiled all my posts into one collectors edition
>>97330546 There's a weird 40k terrain schizo that has been fucking up the board for a few years now. It's pitiful to see.
>>97330537This board is basically fucking dead and it’s just circlejerking a drain at this rate
How many threads about 40k tables do we need at one time? Couldn't have posted this in one of the many others? Or is it you making all of them?
>someone posted on reddit, I must inform 4chan!
The ironic part is this guy doesn’t play new or old 40k he’s simply angry over pictures and how other people play it And all you need to do is to concern troll
>>97330537The last 6 years has been nothing but Warhammer concern trolling and after the hack it’s been ramped up
>>97330540I'm sure you can glean the object from the context clues. You're big enough boy for that, aren't you?
>>97330537Mocking and scoffing will continue until 40kids learn their place.
>>97330537Gate keeping. If you don't want your hobby to become nothing but competetive retards who only play with monochrome L shaped terrain, you need to bully those retards.
>>97330576What edition did you start with?
>>97330484Are you serious? Are 40keks so deluded they can’t see the problem lmao
>>97330618What gatekeeping even happens it’s just concern trolling at this rate
>>97330565NTA but it’s fair. 40k players are like beaten women who don’t even know that you can live without being abused. If these threads pull even 1 person away from 40k and into the light of almost anything else they will be worth it.
>>97330649Gatekeeping is bullying hoping the unwanted personnel(tournie goblins) leave.
>>97330649yes keep saying the buzzword, that will totally discredit peoples issues that the hobby is slowly becoming more and more sterilized, meta chase focused trash.
>>97330649The cord didn’t like this one
Im glad I stopped caring about retail 40k. Its total fucking soulless slop now and if you buy models from GW you are supporting the Disneyfication of wargaming.
>All this "at least I can play in tournaments with sweats" copeOnly friendless losers with no other options defend nu40k.
The table demoralization threads will continue until warhammer 40k is based again
You guys are insane lol
TOTAL TOURNIGGER DEATH
It's a little sparse, but it's not terrible. It'd arrange the ruins a little differently so there's a better sense of where the bombs or artillery hit them, but I like the way everything radiates out from the center. It actually kind of feels like it might have been a university campus once, maybe a school for low-level Administratum bureaucrats.
>>97330684If you think it’s bad now, wait until the Amazon show. They will rape 40k for all to see and a lot of these new fans are going to have an identity crisis.
>>97330585I have absolutely no idea what you're trying not to say, anon. Not-sorry that I don't know whatever memes you're trying to appeal to. I guess I'm not a big enough douche bag.
I wanna see a chud go to a tournament in person and start attacking t sport tables then you’ll actually be gatekeeping
>>97330840Nice concern trolling.
>>97330537People on the fringes of the hobby who want to "go back" to a time and paradigm that they never participated in to begin with. The only impulse that can fire in their aggrieved brains is "old good new bad" so they act like the idea of a tabletop game that aims to be tightly-balanced and sacrifice some hobby luxury in favour of increased precision/legibility is some crazy, insane idea when it's perfectly reasonable.I started in 3rd and quit at the beginning of 8th btw. I don't like what the game has become, and I knew what it had become earlier than many others. That doesn't mean I can't acknowledge it as a widely-appealing product in its current form.People want to "go back" to hurt or score a W over the people who like the current game; people who the nostalgoids feel superior to. Not because the nostalgoids (who, I repeat, usually never played in the eras they are nostalgic for) actually believe there is a demand for the product they envision (there isn't; they would not buy it if GW made it).
>>97330462It looks fine, not really incredible but by the shit standards of 40k it's pretty good
>>97331004Casinos are also widely appealing for gambling addicts. Anon you can acknowledge a popular thing is soulless slop, skinnerboxes and gacha games are very addicting and dont have to be good as the main appeal is consumption.
>>97330576Because /pol/croaches are the only people who stayed after the hack (given that they wouldn't be tolerated on any other social media platform with a large userbase). The concern trolls are zombie reactionaries who think Warhammer is now made by the wrong people, intended for the wrong people, and played by the wrong people. If they could "correct" all of that the game would die within ~5 years because conservatives cannot create any art of value and will not support something without eventual infighting and fracture. They would run it into the ground at record pace.
>>97331033You named things with addictive qualities: what is the addictive quality of Warhammer?People are PLAYING more games of 40K than ever before. Yes, a lot of that is filtered through competitive play. But the appeal is not consumption. More models are being painted and used than ever before. Many are contrast painted (a style I do not like or use) and the game is imo bad and unfun. But there is no more element of addiction or mindless consumption than there has ever been.
>>97331076GW has increased their balance and update cycle by a good deal and the balancing is as bad as its ever been. The addiction happens because the models and rules are priced and balanced in a way that exploits your dopamine system. The whole people buying 3 of the new meta is a classic example. 40k has such a high cost per model that cycling metas betweem models every balance wave creates fomo and dopamine rushes to get the next "good" thing. This is how it is in retail 40k unless youre playing with literal children without an income. If the models were cheaper the effect would be reduced.
>>97331099Everything in this post is the invented fiction of a paranoid mind.>the balancing is as bad as its ever beenNo it isn't, is it better than it's ever been. And there are more tournament results than ever to back that up. There are still dominant factions/builds but their reigns are measured in MONTHS and the have-nots are not forced to wait 3-5 years to have a chance of using their army again.>models and rules are priced and balanced in a way that exploits your dopamine systemA completely buzzword-brained take on the rote 2020's "dopamine" grievance. No, waiting several months for a balance update that may make a unit better, then buying, building, painting and eventually using that unit is not an appeal to the dopamine system. Pray tell, at which point in that weeks-to-months-long process is the dopamine released lmao>The whole people buying 3 of the new meta is a classic example"[Thing that I made up] is a classic example"This is not a widespread problem in reality, only inside your mind.
>>97331226You dont play but okay.
>>97331226>Its not happening but it is and its a good thing
>>97330462I really think, if you're going to have a dedicated wargame table, the terrain really ought to be movable, this looks fixed in place. It's also a bit monochrome.Nice aside from that, though, good for him if he's happy.
>>97330922you people just use phrases you read in a previous thread.but you know what? Hide thread.
>>97330922Genuinely have no idea, still, wtf you're pretending to talk about but afraid to mention. Is it voldemort?
>>97331272Canned catchphrases will surely win you this argument.Do you get a dopamine spike from looking stupid in front of your intellectual betters? lol
>>97331462Intellectual better? Youre defending retail 40k like an absolute tourist/corpo.
What a strange argument, to use it's popularity as some kind of gotcha. No one would say goyslop like Mcdonalds is superior to a Michelin star restaurant, despite being in another league of revenue generation. It's literally a logical fallacy, Argumentum ad Populum .
It's not terrible for 40k tournament terrain, better than bare MDF or cardboard. But come on. Dream table? That? Dream bigger
literally peak, what's the problem here?
>>97331312Little troll got that mad, huh?
