Read that. Buddyfight also has Flags and some change the amount of Gauge you start with. In a game without Flags, or Leaders/whatever that modify how much you start with, you could just say each player starts with 2 or 3 Gauge.

All currently available LLMs have a knowledge cutoff point predating the rules' release, and even with CGPT's internet access functionality I doubt it can accurately look them up when they're only available through a Japanese pdf on an obscure site.
