what happens if you dig a hole on Coruscant (from the WEG sourcebooks)?is there more Coruscant underneath?also, do you think the new movie will be any good? looks really cheap tbqh, even for Star Wars, there's no sense of spectacle any more. you guys seen the leaked scene of !notBobaFett stabbing and grappling Imperial dudes? it's like there's zero weight to special effects any more...
>>97341812What's some good SW fanfiction? I've been trying to find some but most are meh or just straight up bad
>>97342516If you have read the X-Wing books you would like X-Wing - Rogue Gallery, from a local /swg/ writefaghttps://www.fanfiction.net/s/10317462/1/X-Wing-Rogues-Gallery
>>97341812> TQ: Do you have food in your games? What type of food is it? Star wars food?So one time I got ahold of that Star Wars galaxy’s edge cookbook and made a few dishes from that to take to my EotE game (which I also GM), I felt the gesture went completely unappreciated (like little commentary about the offered food and little interest in trying any of it unless I prodded) so… yeah I largely don’t do that anymore… for any of my gamesNow I will say if it were to come up in-game about local cuisine, my guess would be:>TrandoshanIf ever invited to a traditional Trandoshan BBQ, it’s best to fast for 36 hours previously, because it’s going to be a multi-course event where every course is some kind of spiced cooked meat, the portions are large, and the courses are many. If not prepared or accustomed for such things it can turn into an endurance test.>WookieHardy comfort food that is a lot like Trandoshan cuisine, but with more vegetable options. Just don’t let the host hear you make the comparison.>NabooIf we’re talking the human Naboo cuisine, it’s generally going to have more butter in it than one might consider, “acceptable” but one can’t argue with the results > MandalorianMandalorian cuisine is split into 2 categories: traditional Mandalorian cuisine and New Mandalorian cuisine. Traditional Mandalorian cuisine can be described as “if you didn’t grow up with it, you’re not going to get it”, it tends to look unappetizing and tastes bland to the point of being unpalatable. New Mandalorian cuisine, however, is usually rich and has very bold flavors, or spicy as all hell.> CorellianIs the most American cuisine you’ve ever seen> CoruscantBecause Coruscant basically has access to almost every spice and ingredient in the known galaxy, and little context for how locals will use it, native Coruscant cuisine just throws whatever “feels right” together. Making for food that tastes confusing but not unpleasant
Reminder that prince Xizor did nothing wrong

Falleen are a really interesting race and the highly inflammatory rumors that they use some unseen body chemical to influence non-falleen people around them is completely false and utterly speciesist behavior.>muh pheromonesThat's just bigotry from backwards outer-rim yokels who couldn't point out a Falleen if it was the only non-human in a lineup.I actually met Prince Xizor himself during trade negotiations as a representative for Kark MegaIndustries - Plaststeel Division and let me tell you he is an amazing man with nothing but the good of his people at heart.I was taken aback by his warm and friendly demeanor, despite the utter tragedy his people suffered during planet-wide pandemic that has decimated his people. It is with great pride I signed the declaration of intent for Kark MegaIndustries to sell a majority share of our projected Plasteel production for the coming ten years to Xizor Transport Systems for use in refugee relief work at a greatly reduced rate. This strategic partnership will ensure not just growth for both companies in the long term but also provide sustainable housing to the billions of refugees fleeing the ongoing terrorist activities in the outer-rim territories.
>>97343023>Corellian>Is the most American cuisine you’ve ever seenAddendum to this: if you ever see a “Corellian Salad” on a menu or are offered some from your host, just understand this: there are seemingly endless varieties of Corellian Salads, not one of which is actually what anyone would call a “salad”, not sure what one would call them… but certainly “salad” is not one that’d come to mind. Also, of all the varieties of Corellian Salads, a solid 75% of them you absolutely do not want.
>>97343023I imagine Mando Cuisine is much like Slavic. Some combination of pig-meat, potatoes and onions in various combiantions. Food that is readily abundant and easy to grow and transport to a moving front line.
>>97343902Disney is Mormonism or Islam of Star Wars.6 movies is Christianity, with approach to the order being Orthodox watching the release order, Catholicism watching the Part number order, and Protestants doing weird stuff like 4-5-1-2-3-6.EU is Gnosticism, which follows apocrypha.
Does Star Wars have something similar to the Mind Worms from Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri? >psychic (force user?) fauna>aggressively territorial>can be bred in captivity with proper techniques>can be bonded with/controlled by strong-willed individualshttps://civilization.fandom.com/wiki/Mind_Worms_(SMAC)
>>97343899I went with a more Spartan cooking honestly. Which in ancient times was described as being something non-Spartans considered traumatizingly awful, but Spartans themselves loved. Tasting History recreated one such Spartan stew and described it as bland with a metallic aftertaste if I remember correctly. The spin of New Mando cooking was to marry the Spartan-style cooking with what Galaxy’s edge considered mando cooking. And frankly it just felt right, I can imagine that with the new pacifist philosophy, traditional tests of courage and strength would be seen as taboo, so a more “socially acceptable” way to prove oneself might just be seeing how spicy of food you can handle before tapping out.
>>97344024Geonsians can be force sensitive and their larvae can be used to mind control hapless victims, or puppet corpses
>>97343023>>97343899>>97344038My take would be that Mandos have three style of cuisine>old-school cookingolder nordic/slavic-esque with influences of self-sufficient homestead cooking. Using all parts of animals/fish for stuff like bloodfood, bone broths, pickled fish, lots of hearty soups/stews. Big shared meals for important occasions like births. Lots of salt and acquired flavors that would weird out people who didn't grow up with it.>field/deployment cookingmix of MRE/nutricubes plus whatever you can trap and cook in a way that doesn't give way your position.>new-school cooking lots of fusion cooking blending different cultures into a melting pot of flavors. Some of the old style still hangs around but is supplemented with a lot of non-traditional ingredients and side dishesOr to break it down into easier concept, a christmas dinner example:>old style: smördgåsbord of 3-4 various styles of pickled herring, crisp bread, eggs with salted roe, salted fish and cold-cut meats, mustard-glazed ham or slow-cooked frozen moose roast and rice porridge >field: turkey MRE and beaver meat prepared in a smoke-diffused cooking pit >new style: smördgåsbord of a wild variety of pickled herring, sushi rolls, eggs with salted roe, deep-fried banana bread, cold-cut meats, turkey roast
>>97343023IIRC Wookiee food is mentioned to often be spicy as hell, to the point of potentially causing damage to the human digestive system, because they have a far higher tolerance of spiciness than humans (or possibly are unaffected by some spices entirely, like how capsaicin has no effect on birds because they lack the specific taste receptors it affects).
>>97344057I bet some scummy Corporate Sector MedTech company would experiment with drugs to keep geonosian larvae from outgrowing their larvae stage. Or some dark jedi/inquisitor would meddle with sith alchemy and make chrysalid version of geonosian larvae
>>97344236They could. But I think they’d hit the same core problems that prevented their ever being a geonisian Jedi or Sith:1) no Geonosian hive would ever willingly give up its larvae, not unless it benefited the hive in some way. Jedi weren’t keen on tying to stage some commando raid into a hive to get a force-sensitive grub. And I wonder how many times a slimy “totally not umbrella” corp is willing to throw away on failed raids to get Geonosian Larvae before they deem it a waste of funds.2) questionable loyalty: Geonosians have a hive mind. Well, each Geonosian colony has its own self contained hive mind. So even if one were to genetically alter a larvae so it never matures into adulthood, there’s always going to be a question of whether or not the grub is following your command, or it’s original hive’s
>>97344530Good point. Guess I'll just have to stat up a my own Mind Worm critter

>>97344645-or you could have it so Evilcorp ltd. Was so arrogantly moronic that they thought they could outwit the Geonosian queen they were collaborating with. Only to be double-crossed later for their mistake. Turns the big cimax into a 3-way clusterfuck, with the protagonists/PCs in one corner, Evilcorp ltd. In the other, and the mindworms revealing that they have their own agenda that’s going against both.
Does anyone recognize the ship in the foreground? I only remember seeing it in this cutscene from Rebellion, but I'd like to know if it has an actual name or a better picture somewhere.
>>97345117Nope, sorry. Looks like some kind of CEC gunboat or frigate.
>>97345117Doesn't seem to have a Wook page, though to be fair Wook is known for deleting pages which they deem "unnecessary" (AKA they aren't Yidsney bloat). Generally speaking the ship visually resembles a proper Star Wars-ified take on the VCX-820Fanmade interpretations tend to call it the Witte Gunship after the game's director
>>97345117Definitly a CEC gunship of sorts, probably like >>97345288 said a militarization of the VCX-820 line
