Any good RPGs for doorkicking combat? Something kinda slick but hyper lethal, letting the PCs take down most mooks pretty quickly but always having the chance to lose it all with poor tactics. I've been running RED and it feels a bit pillow fisted but my group is afraid of RPGs from before the turn of the millennium

Yeah, FAGROCKER is a really good system for capturing this feel. FAGROCKER '99 will work, but the additions and refinements present in FAGROCKER (2011) will do an even better job. You can also just source PDFs for FAGROCKER: Ultimate Definitive Edition from 2018 which synthesized everything ever released for the FAGROCKER system.
