>>97349674What splat would the invader zim aliens be? I'm thinking Deviant but maybe a specific brand of Lost or Technocratic Spirit could work (yeah I play Ascension and Dreaming with CofD systems).
>>97354664>TQI am hoping to do so in the game next weekend but I need some more time to read the rules properly.
>>97354774First of all, based. Second of all, Zim would probably be best translated with Goblin(Lost) rules given his cartoon bullshit would work as contracts and dread powers.
>>97354812Awesome, have fun, anon! Geist seems to have a lot of potential for games. What is your character concept?
>>97354664Can i talk about this here?/osrg/ has been hijacked by a hyper autistic retard who refuses to let anybody talk about anything not """gygaxian""" "first decade d&d" so i can't discuss it there.
>>97354820That could work too. Wonder if the Pak would be a 3 dots token>>97354840Afaik provided its WoD related and in topic, yeah sure. Here would be the place.
>>97354829I'm the ST but I want to flesh out some more exotic ghost later on but I don't want to spoil the details here.I wanted to make a few animal ghosts referencing previous games but that would probably be too distracting.
>>97354859There's a Slave merits for creatures with supernatural traits in the Goblin Market books but I don't recall the details of the top of my head.
>>97354859Thank fucking goodness. Youre far more welcoming than foreign occupied /osrg/.Ok, SO>Shadowcity, a city on the east coast of America near New York, the year is 1981>Players are a coterie of neonates.>Prince is a giovanni equivalent, after usurping the former Ventrue (100 years ago)>the coterie begins in siena way, An ethnic italian neighourhood.>the campaign/chronicle is a turf war for control of the city. Nee players have moved in with hungry eyes on the king.>all the while, humans are getting inklings of the supernatural. The coterie must be dikigent to not reveal their existence. You know, standard stuff im prepping for later.
I had no idea there was so much hate towards the Verbena. I was just thinking of a character concept based on the vvitch movie from 2015 about witches who try to initiate people into their culture by first destroying all attachments they may have. But why is such a tradition so reviled? I don't see them that much different from the hermetics or the cult of ecstasy.
>>97354774Vigil/Deviant, for sure I think.>>97354820This is an interesting take on the topic, I don't dislike it.
>>97354913I don't get it either, verbena is an amazing mage tradition
>>97354913>>97355266I for one like Verbena but they're quite a meme. My favorite are the Euthanatoi though.
>>97355363>but they're quite a meme.But why?
What is the difference between Task Force: Valkyrie and Division Six? They seem about the same
>>97355448Something about being redundant or lacking a point. Read up on the 1d4chan mirror page for the details because I honestly can't remember.
>>97355570TFV is cool, Division Six is lame.
I'm pretty sure I read in one of the Vampire books that you don't need a teacher for out of clan physical disciplines. Can anyone tell me if this is true, and, if yes, where to find this rule?
>>97355645I think that's a Requiem only thing.
>>97355645V20:Dark Ages on the celerity page if I remember rightfirst and second edition for every discipline btw
>>97354774Tak, my beloved...
>>97355645Time of Thin Blood says this too, page 83.
>>97355659>>97355717>>97355738It was indeed V20DA, at the beginning of the chapter
>>97354903The concept of a WoD hexcrawl makes me imagine a vampire version of The Warriors, and that sounds kinda rad
>>97354913Its a tradition of drunk wine aunts who think wicca is real. Wicca isnt even a real religion/practice in real life it was made up by some fetishist dude. Verbena is just a bunch of feminist nonsense with a vague witch vibe, for fat gross new age bitches to gravitate to & reenact spooky pagan bullshit they saw an their magic drama shows & witchy horror movies like Charmed/Supernatural/Midsummar
>>97356094How could they be improved to make them more vvitch like?
>>97355570>What is the difference between Task Force: Valkyrie and Division Six?One gets cool high-tech toys, the other does not. They're basically just the conspiracy / compact version of the same concept. >>97356094>Charmed/Supernatural/MidsummarI would add The Craft and maybe also Practical Magic.
>>97356173NTA, but they should have sex with demons.
I know it's not the "right" way to play WoD but what would the ideal build be for a gunslinger vamp?
>>97356405But gunslinger vamp is absolutely the right way to play vamp.
>>97356405Celerity/Auspex is the traditional aimbot combo
>>97356413I meant asking for builds>>97356430thanks
>>97354913>>97355448>They're viewed as the Wiccan faction of mages and people love to dunk on Wiccans as being a bunch of mentally ill women with withered ovaries who want to feel magic and special, even in a setting where their magic is actually real.>The Verbena are responsible for historic wrong-doing and people love to dunk on any faction in the World of Darkness responsible for any sort of fuck-up at any point in its history, so people love to meme about human sacrifice sacrifice and helping with the Impergium.>Coupled with the above, there's a general disdain towards all of the Traditions due a common aversion towards kooky spiritualism and a preference for enlightened, objective science instead. The Verbena are just the most disdained tradition of the bunch, for the above two reasons.
I think Cecil would make for an amazing Task Force: Valkyrie npc.How difficult could it be to port Invincible to the CofD?
>>97356482>how difficult would it be to port a world-wide (cosmic actually) superhero/villain ecosystemNo longer even tangentially resembles a World of Darkness
>>97356476>Verbena helped with the ImpergiumYou just know
>>97356496To be fair I think if Exalted can work on the WoD so could Invincible. Just not have them be superheroes in broad daylight and have the combat be much smaller scale with a pseudomasquerade.
>>97356508>if Exalted can work on the WoDnta, I disagree with this emphatically.WoD doesn't work with itself half the time.
Is there any Hunter: the Vigil supplement focused around Changelings like Witch Finders or Night Stalkers?
>>97356452I think Celerity/Auspex even has some amalgam powers dedicated to shooting good, depending on the edition.
>>97356508You're making the common mistake of treating the existence of a crossover as proof that it works. White Wolf mixing their games doesn't prove anything
>>97356547Not really. Spirit Slayers made the choice to be about Werewolves and... ghosts.
>>97356587Such a shame, I think it would have been great to have a hunter supplement dealing with the lost.
>>97356600Mortal Remains has a subsection on hunters and the fae.
>>97354664Honestly my only beef with Geist is that 1e and 2e both had good ideas, they just didn't carry the ones from 1e into 2e. I like 1e Thresholds and I like 2e Burdens. I'm not a fan of the 1e Y Splats or the 2e Approach to Keys I think for 2e they should have kept the 1e Thresholds and combined them with the 2e Burdens
