>>97362783whats a cyberpunk red effort game? obviously the cyberpunk red part, but never seen effort in context.
>>97362783Your fault, stop playing online shit. If you’re not playing in person you’re not actually doing /tg/
>>97362783Do they count as players if they never actually played the game?
I'm usually GM and whenever I'm a player I get super pissed at the complete lack of urgency so many other players have. I'd like to actually get some plot points and battles done in the 4 hours we're playing and not turn the game into the nerd comedy hour or take off in the opposite direction from where the action is happening. >>97362915This. Online interactions don't really scan to the brain as being fully "real". So it's okay to flake etc. Whereas IRL you're enmeshed with these other people. You're looking forward to seeing your friends. You're less likely to skip because you feel "tired" if it's your turn to bring snacks or another player is getting a ride from you etc. And you don't get the same sense of contentedness and being in a tribe even though the internet lets you pull in people who share your niche interests from around the globe. If Discord hit those same brain switches you wouldn't see so many NEETs and incels roping.
