So about the Astra Militarum/Guard and regiment organization. I know that regiments are as a rule highly specialized since they don't do combined arms as a rule of policy both in-universe to prevent another heresy and out of universe to help for balance and faction identity. For the lore and verisimilitude, though, how do companies work in that respect? I know that companies are highly specialized as well, but do all companies in a regiment reflect the regiment itself? Would a line infantry regiment have an armoured company, or would its tanks be scattered across the various infantry companies - or entirely absent? Do we have any organization charts for 'typical' regiments that are full and not just partial?

A Guard armored regiment would similarly have no dedicated infantry elements. The two regiments would have to be deployed alongside one another to act as combined arms, and in big warzones could come from completely different planets and cultures, leading to things like Catachan infantry advancing alongside Krieg tanks while they’re both supported by Vostroyan artillery. The organization of the guard in-universe is retarded and why they get btfo so often.

I have one squad of Space Wolf yiffcrew or whatever their assault marine-equivalent is. I wanted a WOLF to go with it, like how the scouts have a wolf. But all the WOLVES on ebay cost too much. BUT THEN I remembered I bought a Hobgoblin Khan (1993) back when I was a kid 15+ years ago, and he comes with his own wolf. So I'm going to finish painting these retards with googly eyes and give them a pet wolf.
