i love all the releases for OBR. The only thing i could want for OBR now are elite mortek, bow stalkers and maybe some sort of transport beast.

What would elite mortek even look like? Shooty Stalkers is a given and we're still waiting on that one eyed Mammoth skeleton with the ribcages acting as the transport hold for morteks to stab/shoot shit through.
>>
>>97385155
i was thinking that they could be an undead version of the CoS command corp or maybe something like undead chosen.

Not an OBR player but happy for them, I am less happy for lumineth or tzeentch players. I haven't been following the game closely for that long but LRL getting a single hero has got to sting, I don't think anyone was expecting a huge refresh with tyrion but still
>>
shame they didnt give OBR an army box like they did with gitmob, SBGL and helsmith.
>>
>>97385189
> but LRL getting a single hero has got to sting

not really. the LRL range is one of the biggest and most complete in the game. they got multiple back to back waves at the end of 2nd and beginning of 3rd as well as a warcry wave, and really there's just very little they are missing

3 different named hero monsters, 2 of which have generic variants
named and generic cavalry hero
i think like 5 different generic foot wizards
several non wizard support heroes
2 very good named character combat heroes
2 different light melee infantry units
2 different elite melee infantry units
1 ranged infantry unit
1 artillery piece
2 different cavalry units, 1 melee 1 ranged
terrain and spells

its really a full range, they want for almost nothing. i dont really know what they could even add at this point, maybe some elite 3 man heavy cavalry or flying cavalry like eagle riders or something? there arent really any gaps in the range left.
>>
>>97385189
Lumineth had gotten their second wave almost instantly after their initial release, so it is fine for them to get a generic hero and nothing much more for now. I'd rather have a new release for deepkin.
>>
>>97385116
I really like Bonereapers, but I hate every single model they put out. They look like the old chunky WFB zombie kits instead of looking badass they look like 80's action figures to me...
>>
>>97385197
they'll probably announce one soon. army book+model wave always equals an army box.
>>
>>97385209
would be nice but didnt they always announce the army box with the initial reveal?
>>
>>97384543
No, the ushabti shit was people on here speculating. First leaker (boole) specifically said "ruststalker assassins", an ossairch chariot, and archers with 3 eyes. Then the second leaker (reformation) came along and clarified the numbers. If there is one thing that the leakers ARE actually probably wrong about it's that they assumed the archsrs were a 10 man kit when it looks like they're going to come in groups of 20.

I guess it depends on how you define wave but idoneth and kharadrons both got releases beyond the typical pity hero and didn't get an amy box. Nurgle also got a fuckton and no box, though I guess that's a bit of a special case with darkwater essentially serving that function. The HoH box was also kind of weird since it was literally just a spearhead + battletome.

It's a weirdly anonymous unit
>>
>>97385387
At least it has a well rounded range to start with with infantry, ranged infantry, cavalry, a cannon, a centerpiece, and a monster all with weapon options or dual builds. Not like ironjaws or fyreslayers which launched with one dimension rosters and no second wave.
>>
>>97385490
The "second wave" would probably be spells, scenery and another hero
if warcry was still a thing then they could have gotten a warcry unit, but otherwise the army is done for

I wish OBR was crazier, don't get me wrong I liked everything shown but considering these guys make handmade creations that aren't limited by the usual anatomical designs, it just seems like a let down to have everything looks like "person/animal but made of bone". He'll I'll be satisfied by just mixing up and warping exisiting entities, like making the archers arms bigger/longer, the different head is a decent I just want crazier, maybe conversions could work for me.

Still happy with this release though.

Cool to see Ossiarchs getting archers and chariots to finally 'complete' them as the AoS TK successors
>>

I want them to hurry up and refresh TK’s already so I can use them as OBR. The current OBR range is really bad imo. Probably the ugliest army GW sells for any range. Confused and uninspired.

dam looking back at the 2nd ed obr rules, and it is actually crazy just exactly how stripped down 4th ed faction rules are honestly sad
>>
>>97385782
i get you,
they've got an army thats all about mad artisans and craftsmen creating weapons of war and sieging with bones and we just get catapults and chariots? no living bone battering ram (imagine scoprions with gatecrushing pincers and a ballista like tail) Giant flying vultures dropping bone bombs and many more.

Kinda dissapointing. Also i feel like crossbows would fit OBR more than bows and arrows.
>>

Does anybody have a scan or pdf of the Kharadron Overlords battletome?

>>

7th/8th edition whfb had a fair amount of triple kits, some of which are still in the game. AoS-only kits I can only think of the big pig and the megagargants.
There's the vampire parade float, the arkhan/neffy/manfred monster thingy, the celestial hurricanum back when cos had the other options (though that one has some whacky sprue stuff going on). The Arachnarok builds like 4 different varieties.
Seraphon in particular have a bunch of 3+ build kits. There's 3 varieties of stegadon, 3 varieties of carnosaur/troglodon (plus an extra oldblood AND a skink oracle though that one is "unofficial"). The terradon/ripperdactyl kit also builds 4 warscrolls technically, as both have a chief variant.
But yes pure aos only triple warscroll kits are the big pig and megagargants off the top of my head. Like another anon said there's a couple sculpts that could have easily had another version, slap a helmet and a sword in the vhordrai kit for a generic vampire lord, or give tahlia another head option for a generic marshal on manticore.

>>
>>97385595

>>
>>97385782

>>
>>97386090
I hate them. It's daft bone constructs would were cloth but even moreso facemasks.
Nagash doesn't care about subterfuge and assassinations, it's about dominion. OBR are designed to win wars regardless of the attrition - the attrition is half the point. No one can resist Nagash.
These assassins just contradict everything about that. It's not the bone tithe collectors sieging your city for centuries, the inevitability of your concession a footnote in a scheduling report, it's stealthy assassins taking out targets to undermine that. People don't accept Nagash, they merely negotiate with unforeseen circumstances. It's not the inevitable entropy of all things towards death
0/10

>obr second wave
Foot hero, sizeable dual build warmachine, 5 man specialist unit, 10/20 man ranged unit
>idoneth second wave
2 foot heroes and a spell lmao
Seriously would it have killed them to put even a single normal unit in the sea elf "wave", just ctrl c ctrl v the ikon 5 times and voila you lazy fucks
>>
>>97386203
Death can also be sudden and unexpected, but I like your points.
The cloths would help to cover them and help them conceal theamselves in the environment, if you need a reason for them, I'd have liked to see more inhuman shaped assasins, since most factions are already used to looking for concealed humanoid shaped enemies.

>>97386310
Wasn't the aos world championship won by slaanesh? Either way, I think they've actually got a solid range. Some units could use refreshes but they've got a lot of variety. You want basic infantry? You got like 5 options. Cav? 3 or 4, in addition to some chariots. Same with monsters and characters if you're so inclined.

Glad I'm seeing the same sentiment, maybe they get the message in about 7 years and we see some more wacky constructs. It'd be so easy too, take an existing skeleton or two, mash the bones together like a potato head and see what cool shit you can do. Hell I'll start doing it myself if they won't.

yeah, I think deathrattle should have chariots as they're the trad bronze aged army but OBR should have chariots (incomprehensible multi limbed monstrosity)

I've been complaining about a similar thing the past few threads, making your specialist construct army just humanoid is kind of a missed opportunity imo. It may have taken them 30 years but I really liked that they finally started making necrons with weird fucked up bodyplans recently, like the scorpion lord dude.
That being said I don't know how popular this line of thought it with current obr players, maybe they want more normal roman/japanese/egyptian pseudo-skeleton guys idk.
