What events do you want to see in the Arcane Journals?
>>

I've seen enough honestly. Its obvious they can only keep implementing more redundant dogshit in them that makes previous journals fucking worthless. They can probably only add on to something that was genuine toilet paper like the wood elves journal from the start.

Like story/lore/fluff events? Or game idea events?

Dang im a goat enjoyer myself and never considered it a peak cinema match up, what's the appeal Anon?
>>
>>97389664
GW's big narratives always suck but if they could at least not cock up the opening battles of the Great War it'd be nice to see them expanded upon.
>>

Maybe less focus on the Chinese this time around. They already have two journals about them and they still haven't gotten me to care one bit about big titty dragon lady.

Bretonnia, dead Egyptians, the grim-edgy vikings and the fantasy Netherlands got some attention in the journals. Maybe something involving the orcs or high elves this time around? Either could involve the 'proper' Empire provinces in a way, be it orcs invading Averland (I'd love to know what those provinces down south are up to) or something to do with that Osterlund super-province... as long as it involves the Empire.

??? We aren’t tariffing the UK? Why would prices here be affected?
>>
Just a quick question: a friend and I are playing a 500 point game tomorrow following the path to glory rules. He's playing chaos and I'm playing lizardmen. Which scenarios are best suited for such small games? Only the three included in the razing of westerland? Are there any others?
>>
Reading through the TOW faqs (yeah I know I'm late to the party) it says unless an infantry unit is charging, the first and the second row can fight. Doesn't that give a huge advantage to the unit that's being charged since it's fighting with 2 rows against the unit that's charging, fighting with only one?
>>
>>97390230
Assuming no special rules yes, infantry is better defensively. This can change if you have special rules like Furious Charge or Frenzy where you get extra attacks for charging in addition to the extra initiative everyone gets from charging. You generally want to be marching infantry blocks onto objectives and using them defensively to contest/hold them.
>>
>>97390230
Isn't that only when they are equipped with pikes?
>>
>>97390250
Naw, with supporting attacks they get 3 ranks now.
>>
>>97390250
No, post FAQ the second rank can make a single supporting attack from each model. This is in addition to the extra rank gained from spears.

That sounds really lame and puts me off of giving TOW a chance

That's not the way its worded for press of battle. The second rank is part of the fighting rank, so both ranks get full attacks.
>>
>>97390292
If maneuvering blocks of units to accomplish things in battle doesn’t sound like your cup of tea then maybe TOW is not for you.

>>97390293
It’s on the website for free
>>
>>97390292
It’d be fine if tow was a napoleonic but yeah it’s boring in fantasy on paper I guess.
>>
>>97390301
You can be in the fighting rank and not be allowed to fight, if you’re outside your movement value of the enemy. Being in fighting rank no longer means you always get to attack.
If you’re in base to base AND in the fighting rank you get all your attacks. If you’re in the fighting rank and NOT in base contact you only get 1 supporting attack. This is why the entire second rank only ever can get 1 attack max.

right, i remember this part now. Well, whatever. My dual weapon gors ain't getting most of their attacks anyway if they get charged.
>>
>>97390128
All NA GW imports go through the US(in their Memphis distribution centre), so everything that America tariffs also increases in Canada when related to GW
>>
>>97390405
With gors you want to be charging most of the time at least against certain enemies so you can get your extra strength from Bestial Charge.
>>
>>97390173
There is one more that is free online called Seize the tower and a few more in war of Settra Fury AJ
>>
>>97390418
Yeah that's what I been telling people. Ungors are the only units beastmen have that want to take a charge.
Mino's and bestigors can take one, but they also want to be on the charge anyway.

Not to mention if you get frenzy via Primal Fury, you want to keep charging for the +1 attacks
>>
>>97390433
>>97390474
It’s also just unbecoming. Can you imagine a herd of Gors standing in front of the enemy and not charging? It would be a scandal.
>>
>>97390494
Naw, they take the charge every so often for one real reason: they had a failed charge. And yes, they deserve to die for their failure.
>>
>>97390306
>If maneuvering blocks of units to accomplish things in battle doesn’t sound like your cup of tea then maybe TOW is not for you.
I am familiar with core WFB concepts, making the game more defensively oriented and around chasing objective markers all over the map sounds 1. worse than normal wfb and 2. closer to the tourney-centric 40k nonsense that I want to stay away from.
>>
Watch them standardize all wfb terrain to be L shaped straw houses, castles and forests lel
>>
>>97390696
Infantry are more defensive now, and it’s a marked improvement vs pre faq where infantry was mostly so bad that comp lists didnt bother taking it outside a few armies and the necessary tax.
The objectives meanwhile simply add victory points for turns held. The core game has and continues to revolve around victory points, where you score by killing enemy units and a few other niche things (capturing banners for example). It’s definitely nothing close to 40k in terms of how stripped of flavor it is in favour of comp fags.
>>
>>97390719
>comp lists
Oh wow tell me more about comp lists, we should definitely base the game around COMP LISTS that will require standardized boards and setups so COMPETITIVE PLAYERS can play the REAL GAME (buying up whatever GW made overpowered this month to win at the tournament)
>>
>>97390837
Trying too hard, if the historical and L shaped bait failed going spastic is the opposite of what you should have done.

Have you ever been to a tournament for TOW, anon? I have, several times, and the terrain was never standardized like that. Every table was different and usually had a theme. Competitive play shouldn't be what the game is designed for, but Fantasy isn't 40k.
