How would one make an Ilithid Campaign where you play as these squidies
all they do is hide in caves and touch each other on the head with their tentacles. it would get boring.

Its a really shitty thread but I'll admit I've been hankering to play a mindflayer in a dnd campaign. I'm sure there's already any number of homebrewed player race for them as is too. I'd want to play him as a double agent, playing at having broke free of the hive mind, but working towards preserving it and directing dangers away and funneling in easy marks.
