Question for anyone who collects GW's lord of the ring models.I'm building by first army (Emperor's Children) though have some experience with building and painting models already. So I wanted to do something unique for my armies daemon princes and was looking through GW's site. I saw that the LOTR section has a Shelob model coming and it gave me an idea to make something that looks like Quelaag from Dark Souls. So I'm mostly curious on how good the actual model quality of the Lord of the Ring stuff from GW is and also how they compare in actual size to 40k models. Since I want to be able to use it as a daemon prince proxy I'm worried if it will be to big or small compared to one.Also if anyone knows of any good tutorials on sculpting with greenstuff that would be appreciated. I'm probably gonna use some sort of daemonette body as a base and sculpt tits and extra Slaanesh themes onto the rest of the model. Here's a shitty mspaint example of what I would want to make as an example.

Giving serious consideration to starting eldar, and even more so a pure corsair army. Problem is their rules look kinda ass and I've never played anything other than space marines. If I pick up the battleforce box, and some random odds and ends, what should I consider picking up either for kitbashing or just to make the army work within the confines of my theme? For your particular issue though you really want to compare base sizes, because you'll want Shelob there to fit on the base used for 40K daemon princes. You can usually find info like that just in the description on their store page.Pic related, Shelob's kit comes with an 80mm and two 25's (which would obviously be for Golum and Frodo). Unfortunately, daemon princes are fielded on 60mm and that Shelob's feet go right to the edge of her 80mm, so there's no way you'd be able to fit her on a 60. If you're not planning to play tournaments you could still do the idea and run your daemon prince on an 80, people are usually friendly enough to not mind (and it's to your detriment as the larger base sizes restricts movement and allows your opp to get more dudes in melee).

The thing about the eightbound is Ive seen some folks even here paint them to where they look good. Also, ill defend the slaughterbound model, witth the rebreather mask i think he actually looks quite good. I also would have rather gotten red butchers and blood pact(blood pact will show up because they would print money for gw), but also keep in mind the monkey paw that the thousand sons dealt with the hard way with their robots.

It also gives people an easy way to get an idea how much longer the thread will last, so if they want to do something like a list building question, or blubangelsanons high effort battle report then you don't have to worry about dropping something in the thread and having it lost. I think an early thread not only hurts communication, but also makes it tougher to figure out when to post things
