God bless China, Goddess Story cards are even better than I thought.
Good evening, card gaymers. Our top stories in this general:>Complex and optional interactions in competitive card games are officially le bad, after one anon with ADHD and autism said so. The entire genre has been asked to apologize.>In peak competitive card gaming, specifically Duel Masters (the game that died, twice), activating shield triggers has been officially declared the highest form of interaction. Sources describe it as “based” especially when it’s mandatory and you had no say in the matter whatsoever.>Giga-brain anon claims he’s finally found the solution to the tier 0 Pokémon deck that dominated the meta for an entire year. His revolutionary insight? Good deck building. Pro players reportedly furious they didn’t try this sooner.>Masterclass chess expert anonymous confirmed there are no famous recurring opening plays in chess. Despite this, top players continue to “identify an opener” within the first 3 moves. Scientists baffled, grandmasters investigated, reality under review.>And finally, TCG formats that have been frozen in time for over a decade cannot be solved. Even with perfect information, infinite testing, and zero new cards, there is always new sauce. Time to pogchamp.More news at 11.

>>97447099It isn't. It still lacks good early-game units (the new red gundam can actually work against you and rest one of your units for no benefit on deploy) and a higher-level unit for shuji. There's no use in deploying level 4 or lower units with the GD02 Gcucks if a wing zero can wipe out all of them.

>>97445939Butt ninja.
>>97447311Let's actually review what you said. >>97441983>players make the same opening move that guarantees a winThere is no such thing. There never has been. And then your entertaining shitpost earlier in this thread:top players continue to “identify an opener” within the first 3 moves.Wrong again, but for a different reason. The literal first move of a game has a name. We don't need 3 moves to identify it. And depending upon Black's responses, the entire opening (and its associated name) change completely.Posting a link related to chess openings doesn't mean you understand anything about it. You're a retard who heard something once and decided they know everything about it. You are embarrassing yourself in front of people who are intimately familiar with a subject that you only have the most vague second-hand knowledge of.Just stop.
>>97445939WHAT THE FUCK. I just checked the site and you're right, they do prevent from an instance of damage or being destroyed.HOWEVER, the rules card that came in the box explicitly stated that wards prevent from an opponents Spell or Special Ability. Nowhere does it mention damage! This is the worst part of Sorcery by far. Rules are explicitly unclear, contradictory, unexplained. It's frustrating.
>>97447357 (me)Meant to quote>>97443581
>>97447329
>>97447311>dude people have developed strategies and studied the benefits of possible openings, that means it's a solved gameIf you weren't retarded beyond belief you might understand that "there are hundreds of years' worth of study on the matter of chess and to this day people will play different approaches depending on the opponent and strategy they choose, and we literally only catalogue and give names to opening sequences a few moves deep because after that the game opens up immensely" is not the argument in your favour you think it is. You're just endlessly seething that card games need to introduce inherent randomisation and high variety and to keep adding content and complexity and despite this remain consistently way more solved and unbalanced than chess will ever be.
Is GD03 gonna save the meta? why or why not?
>>97447360>>97447360hmm, my rules card says if a warded site or unit would be damaged, destroyed, or targeted by an opponent's spell or special ability the ward breaks instead
>>97447360more specifically, mine looks like this
>>97447511>>97447505Ah I think I get your issue, you though the "by spell or ability" was conditioning the whole sentence instead of just the target part
>>97447511That's the card I was looking at too. I think i see what you're saying, and it may have been a matter of missing the commas for clarity. I suppose the rules card isn't exactly incorrect after all, I just confused myself and got angry over it lol.You got the deckbox? What's your favorite deck in there?
>>97447536From the starter box, the harbinger, but for purely aesthetic reasons, I like the mental image of yog'sottoth covering the entire field. Guess that's my inner timmy coming out. Necromancer probably for gameplay. Savior was still the one I liked the least because it just plays like such a slog, all your stuff is small so you don't want to engage until you have enough stuff to actually kill something, the the opponent feels bad about wasting anything on breaking a ward. I would like to build proper competitive decks, but my scene died before even Arthurian released, so I don't have anyone to play with competitively, only get to use the starters as sort of independent board game I can open when I have 1-3 friends over.
>>97447511>>97447521This would be fixed by ordering the statements differently but I suppose learning to write is too much of a challenge for the modern world.
>>97447586>learning to write is too much of a challenge for the modern world.tell me about itwriter for the game I'm working on has zero impulse control and wants to inject rick and morty references and other such nonsense, and I keep having to check and say no
>>97447565Oh, Harbinger is sick. I like voidwalk focus, and that one monster that can yank minions into the void. Very aesthetic. In terms of making a local scene, my strat was to give three of decks to my friends for Christmas. They're all pretty happy wih the ones they got, and even go put of their way to suggest playing sorcery. Especially the Necromancer playerI wasn't feeling the core Savior deck last time I played, but I think the correct Ward ruling will help change that. I also splshed out the water cards for some fire cards in my collection. The water cards just feel superfluous in a Ward deck, aside from Baptize, which is a bad card anyway and belongs more as a one of in a Water deck.
>>97447311I should've just done that yesterday LMAO Good job, anon, you made them seethe more than me

>>97445939>LSS starts showing off the new SAGE products, beginning with the precons>half of the heroes just rock 3x Blade Beckoner generic equipment >there's literally nothing better in class to build with besides "more health points, chest piece gives a free resource"Fucking kek. This game has entered a state of stagnation I didn't dream possible. They're selling you this shit at a premium too btw, these are twenty dollar bulk piles stacked on top of a booster pack.
>>97448071>cards you're meant to stack>not made to actually fit together nicelyWhat the fuck is wrong with these people?
>>97448071>they gave Dash talishar >and she's a hyperdriver deck What the fuck am I actually watching? Does LSS not even know who their original characters even are anymore? These decks are beyond trash. There's like 4 new cards per deck.
>>97448071Rip. I was still considering picking all of these up as duel decks even tho the price was kinda high, but not if they've stuffed them full of boring shite
>>97447757Holy fuck this is eye torture
>>97448071>They're selling you this shit at a premium too btw, these are twenty dollar bulk piles stacked on top of a booster pack.$20 isn't premium. These decks obviously aren't made for normal players. Most of the cards i've seen in these videos are staple cards for these decks and are a good starting point. That being said, it's not looking good if these decks aren't containing the brand new cards that are specifically meant to supplement SAGE. It either means that PEN isn't going to be a big meta shake up for SAGE or means that they're specifically including very few PEN cards in these decks to make new players feel like they need to buy random PEN packs
>>97447181I have. I feel like the defense element of the game is lacking (no real ambushes, protection is kind of an afterthought) but it's a neat little Netrunner-like. I think there's a TTS mod out there for it.
Interesting found this video just now.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AXg1eXpstlkBut when talking about creatures that had a spell attached the guy was not aware that mtg had adventures and before that other effects like cycling with effect on creatures cards (making the creature a spell when cycled). Also cool seeing other mechanics of the game (the folded 3 faced card is neat)
>>97448124HD Dash is pretty decent and easy to learn the game with. That was my first FAB deck too.
>>97447330Draven as a character is fuckin based, hes just got a dumb ability in the card game. Hopefully set 3 doesnt have another red legend thats ganna dominate or else this people are ganna start to hate the game
>>97445995>NGE set when?
>>97448720>means that they're specifically including very few PEN cards in these decks to make new players feel like they need to buy random PEN packsAlready confirmed that pen does nothing to upgrade the set of starter decks. All non precon heroes get their crummy 4 targeted sage cards each in the booster set rolled in with a bevy of their staple reprints, plus the expansionslot that is designed to double dip on the intended audience by catering to CC. There's barely anything new about pen really, it's a bloody reprint mess without a single new legendary. This product would've died on the vine if they didn't cater to turbo fomoids. Flesh and Blood is in the worst shape of its life and with terrible support for the trumped up support set; it isn't looking like this will go over very well at all now. They will live and die by the golden pack's ""value"" and there's nothing that can be done about that.
>>97448977This guy needed more research on what "new ideas" were implemented by DM, the 3 folded card sure is weird I'm unsure if it could actually work, surely they would be easily identifiable in your deck when shuffling, by feel or even how the sleeve is "fatter", hell you might even be able to tell the difference on your opponents hand.
>>97448757is it enjoyable at least? With FF tcg, I discovered that you can combine cards to do a one big attack with high numbers. This idea is good so weak cards can take over strong cards.
any tip on what to buy in FF tcg as a beginner please? I already have 3 starter decks and they're old because there's no limit breaker (I don't know what they do)do I buy the 2024 championship decks?
>>97450212>Already confirmed that pen does nothing to upgrade the set of starter decks.source: my ass
>>97450319Those are actually in the game. They don't go in your deck, but your hyperspatial zone (extra deck of double sided cards).
>>97450682See you at the end of the month
>>97450723the fuck is this
Can Oscillio work in silver age? It seems the large majority of his CC deck are majestics and a big part of his identity are bouncing auras for effects and that seems to be severely lessened, only having 4 legal instant auras and only 2 being lightning.
>>97450480I haven't played it a ton, but I do enjoy it. The characters feel unique enough and have their own gameplan to follow. The core puzzle is figuring out how to attack frequently and efficiently, and ideally correctly to avoid giving your opponent mana (but that speeds up their deckout too so it's not the end of the world if you miss scrolls). It's just the lack of depth in the defense side of things that's a letdown; the rest of the game is fun.>>97450652The anniversary sets are good for a lot of basic staples throughout the years, and the champ deck is fine too. As far as Limit Breaks go, the generally useful ones like Leo are easy to get a hold of, and you just need 8 for a full deck. Decks aren't immediately invalid if you don't have any, just less flexible.

>>97452062>>draft is retired because nobody plays itThis puts a bullet in 75% of all existing cards in FAB because they were made for the limited experience. They would be committing suicide if they stop supporting limited; it's the only thing good that's left in the game.
I'm trying to get into the Duel Masters OG anime and apparently there's no sub version of it, either dub or original with no subs, no wonder this shit didn't take off even the anime subbers didn't give a shit about it
>>97446221Scalpers need to things: it to not be Japanese, because the Japanese market is just good in general at filtering those types out from Xenophobia or being to far away and gooky for anyone to care but then you have the opposite problem of these niche Japanese titles trying to come out in English and them loosing value that way by just looking like a cheap copy, unless you're audience is general enough that the autists in it aren't thinking that deep
>>97452937It's rough trying to get into the media outside of the original dub because fucking nothing is translated. I remember someone picking up Win a few years ago only to do like 4 episodes then completely disappear. I'm honestly tempted to just watch it raw.
>>97451166 I like how this seems to build out a internal strength/counter system, I don't know if this is a card game, reading and it seems like just a board game with dice, but its kinda cool it has more inherit structure than a lot of the card games which it seems all the big ones were established early and kinda had to ad hoc a lot of the game design as it went, Yugioh in particular went through various stages of realizing it didn't do enough to give different types of cards built in identity/effects
>>97452980VLC is supposedly coming out with an auto AI subtitler soon, although that was like 2 years ago now
>>97453115>>97453111You can upload episodes on youtube and it will give it CC, which you can translate to english. If you have an active enough youtube account you can also give it an auto dub, get CC from that auto dub (which is ussualy more accurate than youtube's auto-translate) and maybe get CC from that?
>>97451041Oooh, that's a cute girl.>KingOooh, that's a cute boy.
>>97450212I love how people complain about reprints like it's a bad thing. Yugioh is the king of reprints and yet I still have such a hard time finding non premade decks online for reasonable prices because so many sellers are scummy. High priced decks that are all commons or low rarity but are tagged as if they were selling you max rarity and missing all the high meta staples that would make it competitive.A card game should be judged by how resellers handle second market deck purchasing. If you can't sell second hand custom decks that aren't out of the box without charging hundreds more than what they're worth your card game is in a lot of trouble.Reprinting is a lot more than just "making staples affordable" it's also "how do we provide reprints so that new players can have them without having to buy them individually from sellers". Getting the fucking runaround on reprints is what made me stop collecting Magic in the end because reprints aren't affordable or accessible because of the $30 reprint booster pack and $50 pricetag online

Oh. Rebirth for You got a cunny on ice set.
>>97454498>love how people complain about reprints like it's a bad thing. You stupid secondaries don't know what playing fab competitive is actually like. There's too much overlap with the use case of these reprints, in other words they're ubiquitous and mandatory. Why on earth would I wish for the next half decade to be governed by the power of cards that have existed since it was created? Not so much as a side grade for tunic after all these years. You think it's so cool they brought back tunic, but the reality is that it never left and there's exactly no rivals for it today. The game is resting hard on its laurels and that's impossible to ignore. They refuse to evolve the card pool and thus decklists run a locked in 80% of cards for all eternity. That fucking blows, mate.
Extra extra, sage dead on arrival! Fans are looking at these decks going "is LSS serious? This sinks!"https://youtu.be/s-18Ojf9VeY?si=Q249AlO6yMAXBPmmRip Dori ever getting nice things
damn FF tcg products are expensive as fuck, I don't know where to buy cheap products (beside the starter decks I found in a thrift shop for 6 bucks each)
>>97457655These decklists are hilariously bad because lss only designs limited experiences with great care or success. Their precons have never ever been well conceived. James and Bryan caught red handed trying to tickle fan's balls over these decks "pulling no punches."
