Something else I have in mind for Star Rush GP, considering people do care most about the combat aspects, is a dichotomy between tech/items and something that I’m currently calling Star Power. In-universe, it’s similar to the Force, a pool of power that those with great willpower can access. Anyone from any Origin could use it, but some would find it easier than others. The “little guys”, AKA whatever I call the Kirby-likes, for example, would probably have it for free, while other Origins might have to get it separately. It would give access to an assortment of powers, although it would also motivate you to rely less on your Craft for weaponry. My idea is: you can be a Silver Surfer sort of guy with cosmic powers, but you’d probably end up with a smaller vehicle like a hoverboard with one or no weapon slots on it. Star Power is also a fuel source. Those with access to it can more or less fuel their craft with their willpower, but Star Power can also be sucked out of people and put into batteries.Dichotomy:>no star power>a lot of items/weapons on bigger crafts>star power>smaller kinds of crafts, access to powersI don’t wanna railroad builds, though. I want to let people mix and match and maybe even have some tech AND some Star Power abilities. When all three parties find Ai, big fight happens, Kaoru unmasks, emotional moment, Ai seems to be cured of the worms, but she agrees to stay with the HLA.
