Like one part has you dealing with a bunch of angry menials because one of your officers turned off the heating when they got word that there may have been some chaos sympathizers in the deck. The idea was that the low heat would kill off the children, forcing the parents to turn out the cultists. This instead created paranoia as they turned on one another, and eventually caused the deck to become nonfunctional. The nice thing is to turn the heat back on and raise living standards. This is a mistake, as their are actual chaos worshippers in their midst who will kill all of them and many more. The ruthless option, having your security kill every man, woman, and child, is actually better. This is repeated throughout the game. Like giving over a bunch of orphans whose parents sacrificed their lives for you to the cool dude who actually likes taking care of kids? Turns out he's a genestealer and the kids get fucked.Get rid of the peasant hunts? The serfs see you as weak and try to overthrow you, while you lose noble support. Again, it would be better if you let the hunts go on. The peasants die either way, but in one case, their deaths can lead to something productive (noble favor). Basically, the universe bends towards evil in 40k. Trying to be nice will always lead to the same thing as the cruel outcomes, with extra hurt because you don't get anything out of it. Therefor, the Imperium is actually as good as you can be for 40k.

Seems like you might not be watering your paints down enough/using some average quality paint? Generally a good quality paint, thinned adequately will just transfer evenly onto a surface (best for space marines, drybrushing can look a bit rough on smooth power armour) and not stray too much onto neighbouring sections. There's a lot of gold spillover, or the white and red of the crest that hasn't been cleaned up. One last thing I can think of to elevate your models further is to try pick out the studs, where that off-white is on the pauldron is just a flat colour, looks unfinished.
Corsair jetbikes.Cape is from harlequins kit and the weapons in their hands are from the void scarred KT kit. Corsair Jetbike upgrade sprue was from China. Terrible picture but they are done!My god these were a pain to build.
