A day late and a dollar short for previous thread theme but anyway here's a albino twilek dark jedi i've had floating around in my head to use as a nemesis for a Force and Destiny campaign. inspirations were Voldo from Soul Edge/Soul Blade/Soul Calibur games mashed with Austin Butler's version of na-Baron Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen and a sprinkle of Hellraiser

At long last, the tale of the Techpriestess continues from https://archive.4plebs.org/tg/thread/97227237/#q97237869.>As dusk fell upon the world of Sarnath, the time had come to rejoin the fleet in orbit, and the Priestess invited her noble guests to join her on the bridge of the cruiser. Yet at the mere suggestion that any might remain aboard for the ascent, Inquisitor Corsini flew into a rage of recriminations against risking the august personages of Imperial nobility with such an unorthodox maneuver.>That this was some manner of ruse, Salafié had no doubt: Though she had come within an inch of taking the Inquisitor's life not an hour earlier, the man showed no fear of her, yet seemed almost manic in his urgency that none remain aboard. But what could be said? The nobles grew uneasy at the Inquisitor's ranting, so Salafié grudgingly parted with her guests at the hangar deck, leaving them to make their own way back to the fleet as she decamped to the bridge, where her servitors were already making preparations for liftoff.>In the fields far below, a crowd of peasants gazed up in wonder as the colossal ship hanging over their valley seemed to pivot in place, pitching upwards towards the sky. Then, it was as though a second sun rose above them as the main plasma drives of the 'Pitiless Blade' ignited for an orbital insertion burn. Men who knew not what they saw were flash-carbonized amidst the blinding light, their charcoal flesh crumbling in the maelstrom of the cruiser's exhaust plume as it rose gracefully into the sky. >Upon the bridge, the atrocity went unnoticed as the cruiser pierced the upper atmosphere, emerging into the cold light of space. In high-orbit, the fleet glimmered like jewels in the blackness. One of the smaller vessels, a frigate, seemed to drop out of formation with the others, but the Priestess paid it no heed as she deftly guided her cruiser into an orbital trajectory, blissfully unaware of the doom that drew closer with each moment.
>>97454150>A hundred decks below, in the depths of the Enginarium, an unassuming black sphere lay unnoticed where Inquisitor Corsini had placed it hours earlier, nestled alongside the cogitator banks that controlled the ship's power distribution grid. It was, of course, the magnetic pulse bomb gifted to him by Salafié's enemies among the Adeptus Mechanicus, themselves no less eager than Corsini to finally do away with the heretic Priestess. There it sat, as it had sat in the vaults of Mars for fifteen millennia, a remnant of a time when thousands like it had been deployed against the thinking machines at the dawn of the Age of Strife. >And now, at long last, it was called to fulfill its ancient purpose against the heresy of silica animus! As the subtle mechanisms within it registered the shift in gravitation as the cruiser reached the pre-set altitude, the device triggered, its field coils whining to a crescendo from the charge building within it. In the span of a millisecond, the Enginarium was bathed in a baleful blue-white glare as an expanding sphere of arcing electromagnetic energy erupted from the device, washing over the delicate cogitator banks and inducing a cascading power surge that coursed through every system on the ship.>On the bridge, Salafié cried out sudden in agony as feedback from the noospheric relays overloaded her cranial circuitry, convulsing in a hideous paralytic spasm for what seemed like an eternity as consoles exploded into electric flames and the air was filled with the acrid scent of burnt wiring. At last, the failsafes triggered and forced the ship's machine-spirit into shutdown, and the Priestess collapsed into unconsciousness as the primary power grid went offline, casting the bridge into darkness.

>"Are these cheeses made locally?">nervous sweating
>>97454210Admittedly these are pretty old. and my downloads folder was full enough as it was until recently. If you know of a way around that, I'm all ears
>>97454189>Salafié awoke to the sound of a blaring siren, the organic portion of her mind returning to consciousness while her bionics remained offline. What was happening? Where was she? Who was she? She could not see, could not feel her limbs. The siren sounded again, and she choked on air thick with metallic smoke as she writhed in horrified confusion upon the cold metal deck plating. >Suddenly, the cogitator array at the base of her skull rebooted and she was herself once more as it overwrote the emotional impulses of her vestigial brain. With a mechanical swiftness, the Priestess sprang to her feet, recognizing the sound of the emergency proximity alarm. She cycled through the inputs on her ocular implants, until an image resolved and she saw her bridge in ruins, with burned-out consoles and servitors slumped limply upon the deck like marionettes with their strings cut. And there, looming beyond the towering windows, a frigate in the black and gold livery of the Inquisition bore down upon her cruiser.>In an instant, the Priestess understood what had transpired, cursing Inquisitor Corsini for his duplicity and herself for falling into his trap. Ah well, it would not be the first time she had spilled blood upon this ship, and an Inquisitorial boarding party would make good sport indeed. But what was this? The frigate did not slow its approach for docking, but only accelerated in its approach! Horrified, it dawned upon Salafié that the frigate was on course to ram, and she franticly darted from console to console across the bridge, frantically seeking to restart the engines or trigger the maneuvering thrusters or bring the cruiser's mighty guns to bear. But it availed her not, as the reactors deep below overloaded and went into hard shutdown one after another, leaving the ship stricken and helpless before the onrushing threat.

>TTEdgar Squirrels casts Fire Seeds"BUUUUUURRRRRNNNNN!"
>>97454300>In desperation, Salafié rushed to the comms console to send a distress call to the Rogue Trader's flagship, yet the moment she opened the vox channel, the voice of Inquisitor Corsini boomed forth, reading out her condemnation with all the fury of a fanatic preacher.>"...illion, three hundred fifty-one million, seventy-two thousand counts of murder, the accused is guilty! For unnumbered breaches of the Treaty of Mars, the accused is guilty! For consorting with the Archenemy, the accused is guilty! For blaspheming the name of the God-Emperor, the accused is guilty!">Salafié attempted to switch channels, but the Inquisitor's broadcast to the fleet was jamming all frequencies.>"Let ye who hath sheltered the heretic among thyselves go forth and bear witness to what I do this day, that all may know that no wealth or power exists that can stay the hand of judgment. The reward of heresy is death!">On the bridge of his frigate, Corsini stood amidst the corpses of deck officers executed by his own hand for daring to refuse his order to ram. They had called him mad, the cowards! Heretics! For a moment, the Inquisitor contemplated the countless crewmen aboard his vessel, laboring in ignorance that their lives were to be spent in his holy cause. No less, he resolved, than the Emperor would demand of any man. Now, as his target loomed large before him, he bellowed out his manifesto once more.>"Oh ye great and mighty lords, let no man be called great but Him upon the Golden Throne! Humble thyselves before Him, lest His wrath be kindled! Let each hand raised against Him be cut off! Let each tongue that speaks blasphemy be cut out! Ave Imperator! Ave Imperator! Ave Imper-" >The Inquisitor was cut short as the frigate plowed into the flank of the 'Pitiless Blade,' disappearing in a catastrophic blast. Thus did the Inquisitor make his exit from the stage with all the theatrics of the martyrs of old, among whose company he had long sought to be counted.

>>97455215>Goth & punk are sistersDefinitely not. Punk is like, the mother of Goth. Still related sure, but definitely a progenitor. Goth and Emo are sisters, like Chad and Jock are brothers.
I thought we liked half bovine, half human people here!
>>97454564Can I get a tl;dr on whether the tech priestess actually guilty or not? I went through some of the archived posts, but it seems to go on forever without a clear answer.
>>97455337NTA, but there is an argument she's closer to 150% guilty than just simply 100% guilty.
>>97455280Goth is as ancient as Mary Shelly, the truest Goth girl there ever was. Emo kids are posers.>>97455274Hmm, Metal & Punk are a little bit closer to chicken & the egg. I'd say they were once the same thing in the 80s but diverged in the 90s. Metal is more a musical culture than anything else where Punk is an attitude thing. Like, you can listen to something as varied Outlaw Country from David Allan Coe & Johnny Paycheck & still be Punk, but you wouldn't be Metal. Then there is Punk Rock which is it's own musical derivative separate but created from Punk. And Rap Metal is a fusion too. I will say "modern goth" at least as far as nomenclature, depresses me cause now it's just fashion & femdom when that was never a part of Goth. Goth was always just a sort of momento mori but with 80's /90's counterculture vibes where everyone just wanted to break free from conformityYou've given me a lot to ponder

>>97455403piss?mmmmaybe you want some underboob?how is this too much for a blue board?I have seen people on the beach showing more skin...
>>97455366Yeah, modern Goth is basically only a fashion. And punk is getting way too close to being a basic fashion as well, even though punk by definition is the rejection of conformity I was straight edge punk from 16-24. It's absolutely tragic. Metal has been a well defined aesthetic for quite a long time at least, and it does mix unusually well with wildly different other aesthetics like metal country or metal jpop. >Emo kids are posersTruth
>>97455433She squats low in the yard like she meant to do something else and got pleasantly distracted halfway through. Water beads slide off her shoulders and drip from her nose ring, leaving little polka dots on the ground she immediately notices and proudly claims as her own. The tail has opinions and keeps swishing them into the moment, tapping ankles and wagging whenever someone laughs. Her horns catch the sun just enough to frame that wide, uncontained grin, the kind that shows up before the idea does. She shifts her weight, bare feet pressing happily into the dirt, already buzzing with the sense that today will involve running, splashing, and at least one thing knocked over by accident. Whatever happens next, she is clearly ready for it, mostly because she thinks it will be fun.
>>97455435I was "grunge" or whatever by default personally. And not poser grunge, I was legit poor wearing ripped jeans and cheap shirts cause I couldn't afford new clothes not cause Kurt Colbain made trashy look cool. I learned how to sew, at least at a basic level, so i could keep some of my stuff from falling apart. Hell, I still wear shit I used to in highschool because I don't want to spend money on new shit for myself.
>>97455366>Metal is more a musical culture than anything else where Punk is an attitude thing.this is true which is why you get people only into the surface level that can't understand why people say their favorite hardcore bands aren't metal; they don't understand that metal has defined riffs and melodic ideas that while they've evolved massively still have a root that can be traced all the way back to Iommi and his influences like Marvin, Hendrix, Jimmy Page, Clapton.

>>97455655The microgenre of war metal, it's a very specific sound that blends elements of black and death metal, very deliberately sonically abrasive. Bands like Blasphemy, early Beherit, Archgoat, Bestial Warlust, Conqueror, Revenge are the cornerstones. It has a very Wyrmish aesthetic/ethos, with over the top Satanism mixed with topics of warfare at its most misanthropic, and many have an undercurrent of perversion.Antichrist HammerfistBlack Womb GnosisHolocaust Wolves of the ApocalypseDogs of War (Exterminate the Filth)real song titles

>>97455814
>>97455814Well he's not the typical BSD, which I figured would listen to something like Black Metal(ish). He's deeply philosophical, he just isn't high brow, & he wants to transcend. That sort of satanic/nihilistic stuff isn't his vibe. He's all wyld & wyrm like priest who used to do some really bad shit but never exactly got squeaky clean either. Nothing like the slobbering degenerate like pic related.
>>97455337>Can I get a tl;dr on whether the tech priestess actually guilty or not? This anon >>97455347 is correct. To make a long story short, Salafié is basically an insane biomechanical lich who has committed every evil deed I could get past the AI censorship, but she maintains her former persona as a noble-born Magos of the Adeptus Mechanicus as something between a cover story and a delusion, depending on her degree of lucidity at any given time.
>>97455946Sounds like the artier side of sludge would be fitting then, bands like Thou, The Body, Burning Witch, Hell, at his most darkest moments he might throw on Primitive Man
