It's horribly broken, but it's also one of the most attractive cyoas to me ever made.And clearly Tankista wouldn't make some of the same errors he made with Worm. Eg each power category has 11x2 powers, going 1/2/2/3/5/5/7/7/10/10/25 - my impression was that his insistence on sticking to this regularity was part of the reason they ended up so unbalanced - while by the time of OR he had abandoned grid-based power design like this, which is definitely an improvement.

>>97458225Basically any 25pts power breaks the setting. Death perception 2t lets you simply kill the entities, or "the number 2", or your own mortality. Shard Administration lets you MAKE those 25pts broken powers. Ultimate Luck is basically a plot contrivance victory.

>>97458240the thing is that even most 25 point powers have some sort of limiter, like with death perception you are still limited by your ability to physically reach the entities and tracing the lines, casuality reversal might be countered by beings who can survive without their core/heart, path to victory is limited by which goals you set and how capable you are to reach them, shard admin can't edit your own powers.Meanwhile broken limiter makes you invulnerable against any physical damage and most supernatural ones, this "perfect tank" power would be alright if it wasn't for the second trigger giving you a punch that can blow away literally anything so now you are the perfect tank and attacker with no way to be defeated.

>>97458288The thing is, causality reversal isnt just "destroy the heart", its "guaranteed to kill by destroying the heart"(he took Gae Bolg from Fate)Its a conceptual kill, like with death perception. Somehow, some way, reality will rearrage itself such that the attack kills its target by destroying its heart. The outcome is determined from the attack being launched, and then reality just fills in the detauils retroactively (hence causality reversal, the effect happens "before" the cause)
