It finally happened. I'm not a eternal GM anymore. One of my players took up the mantle and started running. And on top of that it is also a continuation of the homebrew Barbarians of Lemuria setting we played with me as GM for two years. So now I can see the new direction he will take the for the old world and just be a little dude in it. Feels good man.
>>97468346congrats!
A change of pace does feel refreshing. I don't mind GMing, but sometimes it's nice to sit on the other side of the screen for a breather.
Everyone should GM at some point, even if it's just for a one-shot. So that they appreciate it a bit more and understand what it takes to do this week after week, for months and years.
He's gonna rape your lore OP
>>97469981I don't mind too much. It was never a rigidly crafted realm but more emergent storytelling that shaped the world alongside. One of my pieces of advice was to put worldbuilding on the backburner and just go session to session. >>97468755I want to agree but I don't know yet if I'm actually going to be a very good player. Back-seat GMing of course is off limits but I have yet to experience playing a single character for several sessions.
