Excited for the upcoming announcement that Badger Mole Cub and Vivi are game changers? I hope you didn't do anything silly like spend money trying to predict the future!
>>97516446Why would badgermole cub be a game changer? There's way crazier mana acceleration out there.
>>97516440>tq25% of course
>>97516446Vivi is on the same level as Kinnan and Winota. Pretty good in the 99 and can do some degenerate shit, but not nearly as strong outside the command zone. He won't be banned or made into a GC.
I have imposter syndrome, so I'm always going to say sub 25%.
Thirty (30) starting life is objectively superior to fourty (40)
I'm selling all my gamechangers if they unban dockside
did i got scammed? a guy just sold me this for $85, was quite excited considering these are quite sought after right and even being in japanese.then i went to online retailers and i cant find any in japanese, only english.help me out bros, did i just flushed away 85 for MrChang xerox paint on cardboard?
>I'm not accepting the banlist if they ban rhysticCool, so I'm going to play Iona with the entire deck being based around finding painter's servant.
>>97516584Cool. Just means you die first to the table and no one cares I run rustic sometimes

>>97516446>Excited for the upcoming announcement that Badger Mole Cub and Vivi are game changers? I hope you didn't do anything silly like spend money trying to predict the future!Would them being flagged as GCs change their value at all? If anything it would just cause their value to increase.
>>97516622but are these also available in jap?i wanna hold it and see if it goes up in value IF its real?can anyone honestly help me

>>97516808basedfuck that troon "professor"
>>97516808this guy looks retarded
>>97516629Game changing cards tend to stay stable afaik. Good card is good card, doesn't matter if or when WotC recognizes it as a good card
>>97516739The FF9 one is good. I went in on a box of it since I wanted most of the cards. A weird offensive Fog (I love fogs), Gruul stompy retard legend (I love Gruul stompy retards), a loopable Wizard generator I'm not sure if I'll actually play in Kuja (I have Kuja built and I play him a lot), a cheap white legend dig spell triggered by combat (Ardbert is one of my favorite decks), and Megaflare is a pretty decent pseudo-edict in something like Anzrag or Mr. Orfeo. I had to add $15 to the price of the scene box since I needed to get some humidity packets to untaco the cards since WotC insists on making their promos foils.>>97516808Based. Fuck that annoying tranny chaser. Him having a ton of clout in the community and pulling interesting people as guests is completely undeserved and ruined by him having an intolerable personality, Every time he has a guest I want to watch they're at the table with some no-name tranny or the professor himself is laying his grumpy faggot routine on too hard.
>>97516880is the ff1 the worse of the scene boxes?
>>97516827He looks fine.>>97516821If Im being honest, I dont really blame the professor or think he is any sort of malicious actor. I do think he should support a different charity. Lets be honest, a suicide phone line is something I think EXTREMELY few people would actually use, especially when you limit its scope to a very small subset of the population (albeit one that is disproportionally suicidal).I think the professor buys into it because he lives in a liberal city and taught at a fucking community college which means he has beenn constantly surrounded by halfwits and trannies for his entire adult life. Also hes just straight up a boomer so I think the notion of a phoneline still sounds reasonable to him because in his mind its still 2003 and cordless phones are the hot new thing. I do think he has genuine empathy for the people around him but hes just too stupid to realize that maybe all these people don't actually know what is best for themselves and that maybe its a cultist following in many cases.
>>97516831>Good card is good card, doesn't matter if or when WotC recognizes it as a good cardI think it does increase the value (marginally, over time) because it makes the card more visible to retards who just want to run high power decks but in general suck at the game.

Is there a fun way to do Voltron that doesn't just amount to shitting out auras and equipments for several turns before taking out a player and becoming archenemy?

>>97516953HE'S FAT
>>97516949You can play feather and spam pump cantrips every turn or green tifa with land bullshit, but no, that's the point of voltron to make one very big guy that only needs to do 51% base health pool to knock someone out.
>>97516891Probably FF1 or 15. Fishing Pole is good but Noctis is not as good as his description makes him appear, he only comes back during combat so you can't equip him with anything but the free equip from his effect, plus he leaves you without a defender. The rest of the cards are liquid shit. FF1 has a some decent cards but none of them stand out as particularly amazing. Garland is super fun though in monarch decks because he punishes people for stealing the buff from you. FF8's box WOULD be shit but Duelist Flame and Fatal Clash are genuinely good cards and Edea is fun. Rinoa, Squall, and Seifer are unfortunately dogshit.

>>97516972>Noctis is not as good as his description makes him appear, he only comes back during combat so you can't equip him with anything but the free equip from his effect, plus he leaves you without a defenderI think people just build him wrong. He is so much better as just a static effect on your board. If you get 1 myriad creature to attack that's 3 free equips which is absolutely insane.I think a lot of people think you need to equip to either him or the creature that enters when that is not the case at all.
>>97517050Myriad might work, but that's so much setup...I feel like Sokka and Suki is just straight better for that idea, though I suppose if you want esper over jeskai there's an argument to be made there.
>bracket 4, ultra sweaty mono-colored decks of each of the five colors in a podWhich color would win the most?
>>97517080Blue or red probably. Depends entirely on the commanders, but blue is either going to slow everyone down long enough to get their win con or red will aggro through everyone quickly enough.
>>97517086Lmao you're retarded. Aggro is awful in commander. Maybe he'll take down one or two players. It's between green and blue.
>>97517104>he's never heard of godo
>>97517086>>97517104It would be either red with Magda or blue with Urza, the latter is probably the strongest in a """""fair""""" scenario
>>97517080Blue > Black > Red/Green >>>>> White
>>97517109Godo is combo, not aggro, and it is incredibly vulnerable to any interaction at all. Magda is probably a better commander in this scenario.
>>97517130Having less blue in the pod would make Godo more likely to resolve. It's why I think black with K'rrik might be as good as Urza in this scenario. Urza having all of the unfair interaction that makes blue necessary in cEDH still makes me think he still has the edge.
>>97517138That's fair, but I doubt an Urza in a pod will let the Godo resolve lmao. This group is all getting pulled into stax hell.
>>97517138I think Sephiroth might be better then K'rik here.
>>97517144K'rrik discounting mono black combos is too big to ignore.
>Lumra>Urza>K'rrik>Magda>?????Are there even any competitive monowhite commanders in the level of these?
>>97517163The closest we can get to that is Oswald Fiddlebender anon. Even Colorless has a better commander (Zhudolok). The absolute state
>>97517163Wasn't heliod the second pretty decent for a while?
>>97516813Thoracle is banned as long as you stay in your lane, b2 baby
>>97517163Light-Paws I guess but she doesn't hang with the big boys. >>97517172That was the Azorius flip Heliod. The one that gives your shit flash and a scaling discount based on how many cards your opponents have drawn that turn.
>>97517181It's funny because she is an utter monster in Leviathan, Duel and other 1v1 formats. She's pratically deterministic. Drop two Auras and she will have protection against everything, indestructible, double strike lifelink hexproof +30/+30. Either sac/exile boardwipe or die.
>>97517041Chargeback fraud which in itself is in fact a crime.
>>97517163Yawgmoth is probably better than k'rrik. Liberator is unironically good, but that doesnt count. Anyways, no. White doesnt have anything like that.
>>97517041What happens if you do this and the money was already spent? Do they go to the person you donated it to demand it back?
>>97517187Absolutely. She's one of my few bracket 4 decks since she's completely ignorant. Depending on if your pod is playing assuming it's cEDH or simply the highest power before you reach meta cEDH you can play a bunch of one sided board wipes. Avatar's Wrath is one of the funniest cards I've ever resolved in bracket 4. Fuck all your shit, no you don't get it back, no you don't get to Breach, no you don't get to recast your commander, and whoever is the biggest threat is dying right now.
Typically I play in a three-man podYesterday for the first time in a long time I played in a four-man pod. My ducks didn't do nearly as well and I felt starved for removal and board wipes. The dynamic of adding a fourth player completely changed the game and a lot less of my permanants survived the whole round Does anyone else have this issue? Are my decks truly underpowered or is this just what playing with four is like all the time? Also I crashed my car on the way home
>>97517263>Typically I play in a three-man podSounds like hell.>My ducks didn't do nearly as well and I felt starved for removal and board wipes. No shit.>Are my decks truly underpowered or is this just what playing with four is like all the time? You been building decks to play against literally 2 opponents of course it's going to be different. It's basically a different game.>Also I crashed my car on the way homeOkay.
>>97517263I played in a 6 man last night and the first time a creature made it to untap was turn 7.
>>97517177>Most brain dead and "toxic" win that CEDH has to crutch toNah. Get rid of it and make people get good.
>>97517283>>Most brain dead and "toxic" win that CEDH has to crutch toTrue. I saw a guy lose 2 games and then ask if he could play his cEDH deck. He Thoracled and the rest of us just agreed to continue playing. I literally don't even know what the point was, guess he can tell himself he won but functionally was it any different to actually losing first?
>>97517331Classic, really dusted that one off. Yes, he won, from a functional perspective.
>stop playing control it's mean>stop playing combo it's mean>stop playing aggro it's meanfor fuck's sake
>>97517450I'm going to crash this pod, no survivors
>>97516702I had someone on spelltable concede to this yesterday for "not being able to play the game".All he had was an essence warden without any synergies btw
>>97517450
>>97517450Stop playing EDH if you dont want to play with retards.
>>97517420>Yes, he won, from a functional perspective. If you win without affecting anyone's board in any way whatsoever and they all agree to continue playing did you really win?
they really banned dockside for shitting on all the retards dumping artifact tokens and mana rocks into play
>>97517503Yup. That's the rules of the game and three players are being sore losers. You dont have to play with him again, but that game is over when he won, the person you didnt like won by the rules of the game, and continuing to play after that in the same game is hilariously petty. Just shuffle up and tell him to fuck off if you want to be cool.
>>97517553They are petty, not the guy who got so salty about losing he brought cedh to a casual table?
>>97517563You can always say no. Ask anything you want. Once people have accepted the conditions of the game, taking your calvinball home and pouting is no longer the high ground. Telling him to fuck off? Perfectly reasonable.
>>97517450EDH is not a proper game, it's a social lubricant.
>>97517553>three players are being sore losersNo one was sore, we were all just bored. Everyone knows how Thoracle goes, so we sat there for a couple minutes watching him talk through the combo, he goes "and I win the game" and someone goes "is it okay if we keep playing?" and he sat there and watched the game continue without him. Literally pic related. You're projecting all this anger because, inexplicably, winning in a casual format seems to matter to you so you think someone else winning matters to the other players at the table.>>97517578>You can always say noPeople aren't in the habit of telling other people they can't play.>taking your calvinball home and pouting is no longer the high groundThat's literally what you're describing by telling people they should boot someone out of a pod after playing 2 games with them
>>97517589There's a big difference between immediately and directly saying no, telling him no thanks, and not playing with him, versus whatever it is you think you're doing. Again, nothing wrong with telling him to fuck off immediately, playing mean girls clique style games is unquestionably a larger magnitude of faggotry. This is the law if you want internet cool guy points, or online sympathy points. Otherwise? You only get faggot points, and ironically, greater faggot points than he did.
>>97516322>sold almost entirely on the Willy Wonka model of the 1/1 Ring More like sold on the set being pushed as fuck
>>97517610>versus whatever it is you think you're doingWhich was everyone saying "its chill bro play whatever" and then continuing when he won as we all expected him to.>Again, nothing wrong with telling him to fuck off immediatelyDifference of opinion.>playing mean girls clique style gamesThis is completely projection on your part and says a lot about your insecurities.Again, you massively overvalue winning in a casual format. It matters to you, so it's inconceivable that other people wouldn't be mad that someone thoracles but rather they're just bored and continue the game afterwards.>if you want internet cool guy points, or online sympathy pointsAsked for neither. You can see the original context here:>>97517283>>97517331I agreed that it's a braindead wincon, nothing more nothing less. The point of the anecdote was that the guy lost 2 games, was desperate for a win so played thoracle, but everyone at the table just viewed it as an inconvenience because everyone knows how thoracle is played and no one is impressed to see it happen, such so that it might as well not have happened at allIn that guy's mind he won, but he does not have the self awareness to realize the effect he had on the game was the same as if he lost instead
>>97517628That's a lot of words and assumptions to say you dont want to have a conversation with a man to get cool guy internet points and ensure he has faggotry points, but instead would prefer to invert the paradigm and be a big faggot. This is universal in every situation. If you can have a conversation to avoid a problem, do it. If you choose not to have a conversation, any and all pettiness reflects on you, not the person you're complaining about. You do you anon. Now you know better. And this is a choice.
>>97517643You're absolutely seething about intentions that didn't happen, both in the anecdote and in its retelling. What is it you want out of this interaction anon?
>>97517563You literally let him. He asked if he could bring the deck. You said yes.
>>97517651Yes yes, rudimentary bait.Ignoring that, simple: have a conversation. Like an adult. State your opinions directly and clearly. Then? Complain all you want. Otherwise? You my friend are doing what you would describe as "projecting" and "coping".He asked. You were cool with it. You didnt have to be cool about it. And you certainly werent cool about it, and are continuing to be upset by it after the fact.
>>97517661Yes because, again, there is a difference of opinion about "telling people to fuck off"You're a turbo autist who also has no context of the situation and so you think poor choices are a social norm, that is your problem and no one else's.>>97517663>have a difference of opinion>THIS MUST BE BAITHoly shit how do you even get through life living like this>State your opinions directly and clearlyLike right here? >>97517628>I agreed that it's a braindead wincon, nothing more nothing less. The point of the anecdote was that the guy lost 2 games, was desperate for a win so played thoracle, but everyone at the table just viewed it as an inconvenience because everyone knows how thoracle is played and no one is impressed to see it happen, such so that it might as well not have happened at all>In that guy's mind he won, but he does not have the self awareness to realize the effect he had on the game was the same as if he lost insteadWhich you then proceeded to misconstrue yet again?>you certainly werent cool about it, and are continuing to be upset by itI don't know how many more different ways I can put the same point to you:No one was upset.Everyone was bored.Winning in a casual format seems to matter to you a lot.You therefore think that other people must be mad about a win.Seek an autism diagnosis if you do not already have one.
>>97517682That's nice. You are still upset, shitposting at length, pretending to be a cool guy, making up excuses to justify your position, when all you needed to do was say no, and you'd have been able to skip all that.
>>97517682You could have just said "no, dude, we're not playing at that level." It was that simple. He asked if he could play that deck, literally just day no.As it stands, you let him bring a deck explicitly meant to play any wincon no matter how unfair. He Thoracled and won. Now you're trying to convince yourself that no, he didn't win, even when he played the card that says "you win the game." If you didn't want him to Thoracle, then you could have told him no.
>>97517691>You could have just said "no, dude, we're not playing at that level." It was that simple.WEDIDNOT CAAAAAAAAAAREWould you like me to say it 100 more times anon? Shall I write it out by hand and mail it to you?No one fucking cared that he played a cEDH deck, no one cared that he won with thoracle, the entire point of the story is that it mattered to him and no one else, everyone else just agreed to continue playing because his "win" was meaningless to everyone except him
>>97517695You care enough that you want thoracle banned though
>>97517698Nope, would you like to invent any other facts in this game of retards?
>>97517695You cared enough to complain about it here.
>>97517695Seems like you care quite a lot, using capslock, writing hyperbole, posting at the speed of light, pretending he didnt win, pretending the point in the story was you didnt care that he won when you cared enough to break the rules of the game. And it appears to have been meaningful to the extent you didnt accept it, despite knowing what would happen, while thinking people would go "hells yeah anon".Next time, tell him no. Then people might say "hells yeah".
>>97517701Imagine if you presented (insert your favorite wincon here) and we just decided to keep playing without youThat's you having a melty and you're already backtracking from your own posts just to hide your own embarassment haha
>>97517702>>97517704Someone mentioned thoracle being braindead and I agreed with an anecdoteEverything after that is me caring about turboautists who are medically incapable of distinguishing their own thoughts from the behavior of others telling me I had intentions which I have explicitly explained I did not have.>>97517715My wincons would affect the board in a way you couldn't ignore because they're not braindead like thoracle
>>97517724nope my wincons are better and more brainy than yours because i said so kekw
>>97517730Not hard to be brainier than>I have no library therefore win
>>97516440Pretty low. I've adopted a really aggressive playstyle to combat my group's slow-ass playing. I go for as much damage as possible as fast as possible to everyone, including myself. Burn everything to the ground and hope I survive, basically. I tend to get knocked out first but it helps the games go fast. This has usually guaranteed us at least 2 games each session.
>>97517732it's not hard to be brainier than (You), which is the whole pointanyways, enjoy having thoracle be legal and be regarding as the gold standard of combos for all eternity lol
>>97517724Other than the mad part. You know, the part where you were mad, mad enough because you cared about thoracle that you are still shitposting about how you were super cool for breaking the rules of the game, despite being warned what would happen. You know, instead of saying "no" then explaining why.
Rate my "weaker" UB Slop deck, Wanted something to power down to that still feels unique and like I'm using my brain to play.Tech is to cheat webslingers out early with 1 drop dorks, replay cheap creatures with useful ETBs all the while making humans with Silk.Want to keep it budget-ish, the expensive cards in the list I already own.

>>97517616That was part of it but the bulk of the sales hype was the golden ticket. The fact that they think they can make it happen again without the 1/1 Ring in The Hobbit is hilarious. It's like they didn't learn anything from the last time someone tried to make The Hobbit fit into the same mold as The Lord of the Rings.
>>97517783They literally did it again faster without the One Ring in FIN
>>97517695>I'M NOT MAD. DO NOT PUT IT IN THE NEWSPAPER THAT I AM MAD
>>97517791Because Final Fantasy was handled better as an actual set and had the perfect overlap of people who weren't buying Magic cards who would buy Magic cards if they were appealed to. 30-50 year old nerds love FF. 25 year old trannies and weebs love FFXIV. And I mean REALLY love FFXIV. Japan and weebs who are already engrossed in other TCGs and already spend money on it as a hobby had a reason to buy Magic instead of some other TCG. LotR really only had the nostalgia bracket in common with Final Fantasy. The rest of it was normalfags trying to pull a modern base set PSA 10 Charizard out of a pack they could buy at Walmart.
>>97517797The race swapping in LotR makes it look like it was made by people who hate LotR. FF looks and plays like it was made by people who love FF.
>>97517080Anyone not saying Red is just silly considering Red's the only one with actual tournament results.
>>97517809Lumra, K'rrik and Urza all have tournament results. Hell, Lumra's currently better then Magda. Zhudolok can be competitive with zero (0) colors you know, why not monoblue or monogreen
>>97517809Hasn't Lumra won some events?
>>97517822Yes. It's a respectable deck. Around 1.5% meta share (which is a lot for cEDH, Rograkh + Thrasios is 5%)

I went to the LGS today to get some trading in and I figured I'd play a single EDH game. One of my opponents who had foil full art (non-p9) moxes, among other full art foils, legitimately thought that X=1 when determining the CMC of cards in the library and then proceeded to confuse Discover with Cascade.I hate you fuckers so damn much.
Is the new shitling going to be a new "hard 4 and cedh commander" or is all the fucking hype going to die down so she stops mooning cards I want for other shit?
Anyone have a decent beginner (as in new to commander) friendly decklist that I could take and be reasonably successful at locals with?
>>97518146You can play whatever you want if we're friends and you ask nice. Almost everyone has expensive cardboard. Anyone who doesnt is welcome to use whatever proxies they want, and I have a proxied powered vintage cube anyone is free to borrow whatever from. I routinely played in tournaments up to about a year ago when I got busy.Old rules, new rules, it dont matter. Play whatever you want. No one will bitch about it. EDH is the "get hammered and hang out with your friends" format. If you take it seriously, you've missed the point.
>>97517080I think blue and red would have the most individual good commanders. I think red would lean more heavily into Slicer and Magda, but plenty still exist.I think the color that would win the most though would be Green, and that will be solely because of Lumra. Lumra actually gets results in B5 despite having shit stack interaction. The turbo Lumra lists don't really want a slow game and would be playing B5 in B4, but the current midrange B5 ones can absolutely be tweaked slightly to hit that minimum turn time restriction and still fuck the other decks deep.
>>97518196EDH is not friendly to new players. Learn the game first before playing a game that has up to 400 distinct cards in it. Play limited.
>>97518173Me too anon. I had fun for one hour yesterday playing edh. It was nice, I used my whole brain, the games were back and forth and competitive. It was like playing magic. Then some retard said look at my rats deck. And another one said look at my knights deck. And a third one said look at my spirits deck. Then the games turned into show and tell instead of magic where everyone had hurt feelings at least twice while bitching about what they could and couldnt have done.I hate it so much. EDH can be fun. It never is. And the people who find it fun do shit like wait until t4 before casting a spell, or roll a dice to see who gets attacked.
>>97518204Ignore this retarded post
>>97518198>EDH is the "get hammered and hang out with your friends" format. If you take it seriously, you've missed the point. Why do people like this feel the need to even chime in about brackets? Will Star Trek have a framing device (time war?) or just free floating cards
>>97518589The latter. They have literally never bothered to even attempt to tie in crossover content with the main game's story. Not even for the D&D cards which are a fantasy IP that wizards owns and has magic crossover content in it.

>>97518690this was a retcon
>>97518680>>97518696Incorrect. Taysir's origins come from a comic published in '95-96 that tell the story of the Arabian nights set.

>>97518700Funny how this isnt a retcon when Arabian Nights was released in 1993
>>97518707>>97518708Comics take time to make. And also money. Money that a no-name game from a no-name company that had to resort to asking friends and family to provide card art for the first set wouldn't have.
>>97518714Araban Nights began as a different game that was later turned into the expansion sets we now know today. It was only given its official place in magic lore 2 years later. Before that there's no reason to think it was or wasn't part of the same magic lore as the alpha/beta/revised set.

The Sixteenfold Refraction (colloquially known as Aeterna or The Lensed World) is a unique planar cluster within the Multiverse. Unlike traditional planes that consist of a single world or a chaotic "shards" system like Alara, the Refraction is a singular metaphysical entity that has been split into exactly sixteen distinct iterations.Ugin theorizes that the plane was once a unified world of immense power. At some point in the pre-Mending era, a "Calamity of Chaos" (referenced in various texts as Discordia) struck the plane’s core. Instead of being destroyed, the plane’s protective mana barrier acted as a prism, shattering the reality into sixteen distinct, parallel versions of itself.et voila. I've created a UW set.

My LGS has 2 headed giant commander nights now. I played 2 games of it. It is fun. I played Taii Wakeen. I played pic rel and left one open mana. My partner contributed 3 mana. Then in what will go down as one of the biggest and most btrain rotted blunders in commander history, my opponent contributed 5 mana for a total of 10. Then i spent my last red to cast blazing volley to wipe their 1/1s and draw 20 cards. Needless to say, my team won.
>>97518752Zero fucking effort. You literally just said "the plane has 16 pieces."Here, I'll do one. As a challenge, I'll make it a set about fucking Ikoria meeting New Capenna specifically because these are two dogshit planes nobody liked. An omenpath opens between Ikoria and New Capenna, and the conflict begins almost immediately. New Capenna's families are quick to begin sending out expedition squads searching for new resources, but are quickly met with the ire of monsters whose territory they're invading. Weaponry is upgraded in short order to accommodate the massive threats, and after taking down their first monster, the families of New Capenna make a discovery beyond anything they could have expected: The monsters bleed Halo.Well, not quite Halo. But it's very close to Halo, and can easily be refined into a substance that is functionally identical. Apparently the very same lifeblood that allows the monsters to adapt and mutate so quickly possesses the same properties that make Halo so desirable. The fallout is instant and enormous. Immediately the five families are confronted with the disastrous prospect of Halo experiencing hyperinflation, and with it, their influence. What was once a small effort quickly spirals into complete and total mobilization, each family fighting to keep their place on top of New Capenna's order as a newfound enormous supply threatens to leave their most valuable resource worthless... unless they can be the one controlling the new supply.Ikoria isn't faring much better. Conflict erupts between hunters and bonders. The hunters see the New Capennans as savors doing charity work, hunting massive monsters and asking for nothing in return, bringing safety to the turbulent life caused by Drannith's collapse. However the bonders see it as poachers threatening to devastate the ecosystem. Existing tension between bonders and hunters now threatens to erupt, compounded by New Capenna's hunting parties growing increasingly aggressive.
>>97518843>Zero fucking effort. You literally just said "the plane has 16 pieces."congratulations. you almost got it.

>>97518908I'm sorry was that a fight in your eyes?
>>97518904The sad reality is that autistic people are massively over-diagnosed as trannies.I’m actually not someone who despises trannies, I think there’s a legitimate basis for a small fraction of the popularity to experience a mismatch between the structure of their brain and their physical biology, but the problem is how do you prove its existence? Currently all we can trust is self-reporting, and there exists a culture of not questioning a person’s self identification. That leads to autistic people who obviously don’t fit in and feel awkward all the time pinning those feelings on being in the wrong body rather than just being fucking autistic. And when they come out in leftist circles (as it inevitably is) they receive nothing but praise and validation from their peers. I’ve even seen bio-women go out of their way to pay the manliest low effort troons compliments about their outfits because that’s just the social game women play.At any rate they finally praised for being different rather than ostracized, confirming to them that this was always the problem and not their rampant autism. And the connection to Magic is that this is perhaps the single most autistic rule set I have ever seen. Literal hundreds of pages upon pages of rules, bizarre idiosyncrasies like the difference between attacks and attacking. It’s the most autistic game ever made. I think partly that’s why Yugioh was always more popular on the playground despite in some ways being a more complex game
>>97518923I dont despise them but I also dont want to indulge their delusions. I dont want to have to lie about seeing them as males which they are.
>>97518930I would be willing to indulge a small number of true trannies, if they put in the effort. Problem is I’d say the ligetimate ones exist at of a rate maybe 1000 times lower than current numbersTheres about 4 or 5 at my LGS with a player population of 60. Massive over representation.

>>97518752Is not that just Rabiah but you replaced 1000-fold refraction with 16-fold refraction?Tbh, I'd like Rabiah to get it's own identity and more focus on the 1000-fold refraction. MaRo stated that they don't want to come back to it because it's based on real stories but they designed Eldraine for fuck's sake. Just put fantasy paincoat on Arabian fairytales and it will be okay.Story-wise it can be interesting - I don't think that it was explained what happened with Taysir's spirit after Windgrace sealed it inside of himself and then later died and was buried in Urborg. Make ghost of Taysir come back to Rabiah after overly long travel through vast eternities and explore how his homeland changed, how events of the past became fantasy stories, how he's remembered by various people in different ways. Maybe throw some bad guy into the mix - some nasty fuck plotting something in Rabiah or maybe an undead Windgrace chasing Taysir to seal him back in his chest like an obsessive gay furry lover.Mechanics? Strong focus on tribals - humans, ifreets, djinns, a zoo/animal menagerie series of cards supporting generally "animal" creature types, a handful of legendaries ignoring legendary rules to represent 1000-fold refraction, maybe Abu Ja'Far/Raghib still sticking around as he was a weird dude implied to be a planeswalker.

>>97519759>>97519762Politicking as a theme can only go up to b2 power level at most (i'm actually tempted to think of it as a b1 meme like chaos and mill) so imo commit to the bit

>>97519788>Politicking as a theme can only go up to b2 power level at mostI think that depends on what you mean by being on theme. You can build decks that see opponents as a resource against your other opponents versus decks that just sort of have the idea of begging people to follow your commands.
>>97519815This is just voltron and the worst type of voltron>Give every card to the guy that tapped out>Kill him>Get third place after your two opponents realize they can't let you keep a 20/20

>>97519788I don't know if you looked at the decklist. The politics 'bit' is aggressive problem solving. I try to leverage removal to answer things that are problems for other players and, in return, have them recoup some of the resources I lost using that answer. The purpose of the deck is to decrease the number of resources my opponents have, cards like Shadrix provide my opponents with additional resources.I agree that the deck is not going to be a proper bracket 3 deck (though it will run some gamechangers so thanks to the retarded classification systems it won't be bracket 2) but there is a distinct gameplan and theme and I just want cards that are an upgrade to what I currently have but stick to the same theme.
>>97519937It depends on your playgroup.Korvold is a fun goldfish but runs into the problem of always falling down repetitive lines/synergies and getting a bunch of card advantage. It's like Niv Mizzet, Parun; fun to go off a couple of times but becomes boring after that. You also run into the problem that competent opponents shouldn't let you untap with Korvold in play because you will draw a dozen cards but a lot of the individual cards you play are not outrageously strong on their own so if you are one of the whiny bitchers who say 'why did you target me? I just had <bad cards> in play and wasn't threatening anyone!' when, if your opponent hadn't removed Korvold, they would be drowning in value; the deck will get you very pissy.
>>97519954I was honestly thinking of running it in a Goblin deck as the commander. Mostly cause I like Goblins, but don't want to play Krenko.
>>97519957Oh I see.I feel like Korvold isn't a fantastic commander for what Goblins are doing but I don't know if there are that many better options. If you aren't focusing a lot on tokens you may want to consider Bhaal or Sek'kuar instead? Korvold works best when you are sacrificing a lot of things with death triggers and/or have a lot of permanents that sacrifice themselves as well (treasure tokens being the most obvious/best).What do you want your goblin deck to be doing?
>>97519983>Sek'kuarThis is cool. I'd have to think about what exactly I wish to do.
It's not goblin Trial, but I threw this together based on Sek'kaur and sacing creatures. https://moxfield.com/decks/KElHufeHcE2WquhFDrJHPwWould it be any good if I worked out some upgrades to it?

Are three player games fun to play or does the lack of a 4th to balance out the politics and have answers make it way too swingy? I ask because I have two friends that want to start playing but we don't have a fourth.

>>97521291Im afraid that is not what UB is anon. For someone obsessed with facts and logic you shouldve researched. UB is a WOTC distinction, one which they had clearly labeled. So I was playing golgari elves against my buddy's krenko deck and he hit me with Voracious dragon and sac'd 20 goblin tokens and killed me instantly. How do I navigate around something like that for next time around as far as the dragon goes? The tokens I have ways of dealing with and that's on me but it deals x2 the amount of tokens sac'd on entering, fog effects only affect combat damage so what should I do?

>>97522488Crypt and Lotus will never come off and anyone who believes otherwise is coping hard.
I do not want to play against primeveal, though I think that it will be quickly banned again if they do unban it.
is it too late to buy

>>97522645ill give you props for having a redhead for an OC, since they're always the best, but, goddamn. Next time just use her as the commander, and any version of that creature that have multiple variants (like Aurelia's various versions). People wont think youre as much of a retard that way

>>97522645I wrote a fantasy book (you may have seen 4chan ads for it) and considered making a proxy of the cover art I commissioned for it over Scarab God.I don’t mind proxies that look nice. My brother designed this for his Witch King deck.
>>97522872>and considered making a proxy of the cover art I commissioned for it over Scarab God.You should. Most people will enjoy the backstory to it as well.
I decided to take the Ruric Thar deck into a full on meme direction.I'm going to "proxy" the entire deck, with just crayon drawings. Not even markers, or sleeved up. Just a bunch of index cards, with green, red, and black crayon drawings of everything.I'll still have the actual deck with me, but I'm sure this will get a few good laughs outta some tables
>>97522854Dang. Completely off the rails there anon. ~97% chance each game across 3 players after mulligans. In any given hand each player has around 64% chance of having both two lands and one piece of removal by turn 4 before mulligans, assuming monocolour, no additional card draw, and 10 pieces of removal averaging 2mv and 34 lands per deck. 95% chance one player has the answer before mulligans by turn 4. I did simplify the variables a bit, but it was fun doing the math.
>>97522645Good for you anon
Having never built an Elf Ball deck I figured Morcant would be a little more interesting than she turned out.
>>97522907Post it when you're done. My only issue playing against it is how well will index cards shuffle
If someone sat down at your table and busted out a World's Smallest MtG deck would you play with them?
So with this guy I can just instantly win the game if I draw Worldfire off the top and have an instant or ability that can deal 1 damage to each opponent right?
>>97523056If its a legal commander deck I don't care.
>>97522945She would be much more interesting if there were fewer 2 card combos. Controlling the board by dumping out elves isn't wildly unique, but it's better than "I play an elf and it 1-sided board wipes, I now do this every upkeep" Much like Vivi it's a powerful effect that would be more fairly put into the 99 of another deck rather than the permanent access of the command zone.
>>97523070>Play worldfire >Oh right, hand is gone, and if I play an instant it would go off before worldfire

>>97523083>i can instantly win the game if a bunch of things that aren't immediate happen in succession, right?i mean yeah i guess. you could not have a way to deal 1 damage to an opponent, or an opponent could kill either vito or the enchantment with the triggers on the stack

I play raffine aggro and despite the fact that it can kill people, it feels less like something the deck is designed to do and rather more like something the deck lucks intoa lot of the time, I just eat shit to a board wipe and then can never rebuild the tempo back even if my hand is full from the draws because the deck relies so much on attacking while raffine is outI have breena in the deck and it's a pretty powerful card there and have been thinking about swapping commanders for itit feels objectively less powerful from the loss of blue alone but it can also just become more consistent since it's possible to trigger it more than once per cyclethoughts?
