The World That Was is so universally reviled, it died.

So realistically how many more years has AoShit got left? It's starting to get to the point in its lifespan where it's having to "squat" pre-existing armies and units to make way for new stuff, it's questionable if the game has the innate popularity to really survive that.
>Looks in 40kg>Literally dog shit>Looks in AoSg>p okay
>>97554931You know what? The only two things I like about AoS, and literally two of them, are some of the models and the concept of the realms.Models like Tree Revenants are actually cool and would've fit WHFB Wood Elves due to their theme and be like a bridge between Asrai and Tree Spirits. The early undead models (especially the Skeleton ones) also had that WHFB feel about them. The Realms on the other hand? On paper they feel like an interesting concept. Realms of Magic based off the Winds of Magic from WHFB with environments, fauna and flora based off said winds. Shame it all went to shit here. Two good things stuck in a shit game.
>>97565395You are the first aos "hater" I've seen who likes the realms, never mind one who thinks it's actually one of the best things about it. Very strange taste.
>>97565409I was there when AoS got revealed with models, rules and art. Hated everything but the realms themselves on paper felt like something that, if GW actually worked on those much more, would've been something that could've partially alleviated. I like that the realms cause physical changes to people living in them and that should be expanded further. But again. It's all stuck in a inferior setting.Wished Warhammer Fantasy had this, but that would've been the biggest, nonsensical asspull that would be impossible to add in a organic way. Not even stuff like "these always were" or that "they were forming the first time magic came to be". So while I like the concept of the realms and what they cause, to the point that would've liked those in mainline WHFB, that would be way too much without pulling one hell of an asspull. Not to mention it would be utterly stupid and inorganic.
>>97565532It's just not something you see very often, the realm thing tends to be one of the main complaints.
