Generally yes.
The main dangers would be Psionics and Magic, but given what we have seen him overcome mentally and physically, especially in the later part of the series, I give him the edge.
His ability to bring people together while being an absolute fucking unit of a man with a heart of gold means every secret preserver group will end up backing him in some way.
Arguably, the 'magic' of Hokuto no Shinken, and the martial arts in general, could perhaps be explained as Psionics themselves.
thus, Ken would be the one who completes the ascension into an Avangion and casts down the sorcerer kings.

As a hardcore martialfag, I always thought that Psionics were even more ridiculous of a gimmick than the whole defiler/preserver magic thing and that they are somewhat out of place for a setting such as Dark Sun. Supernatural martial arts such as Hokuto Shinken and Nanto Seiken make far more sense to me, thematically... but I'm the kind of guy that thinks only bad guys should use magic and created a campaign setting were Wizards are a despicably evil race from another dimension that only look like humans but aren't, and secretely rule everything from behind the shadows with an iron fist. So I'm very biased about this subject.
