Andor… not very good, innit?
>>97560829Don't start it again.Let the past die. Kill it if you have to.
Today marks 31 years since Kyle Katarn entered into our unworthy lives.
>>97560850Kill this.>Grabs pant
>>97560490On the topic where the previous thread ended, EC Henry made a space AK that looks way better than the Andor one.
>>97561334I think the curved magazine is the biggest problem with the TV version. If you're not feeding tapered cartridges (and you're not), a curved mag is dumb. Using a Zastava M77 as the basis for the prop would probably have been a better choice than a simple underfolder AK.
>>97560490Curious to hear thoughts. Asked this in a previous thread.I'm running an Edge/AoR campaign here and playing with two different alternate history set ups. I'm interested to hear which one seems more interesting to play in.Scenario 1: Post Endor. The Emperor has survived. Vader, Luke, and the second Death Star have not. The vast majority of the Rebel Fleet have been destroyed. Many rebel heroes are dead/missing. For how closely it was that his life was taken, Palpatine has now decided that superweapons are not the best method to rule by fear. Instead, he will accelerate the machines of control, of force. He will tighten his grip on the freedom of all galactic people. He will have the kind of control that will preclude a rebellion from happening in the first place. Theme: overwhelming oppression, desperation, fighting against tyranny, trying to find hope out of despairScenario 2: Post Endor. Palpatine is dead. Unfortunately, so to are Luke, Vader, Leia, and most of the Rebel alliance. While they succeeded in destroying the Death Star, much of the Rebel leadership has been lost in the battle. The Empire has now balkanized into warring factions, Moffs, Warlords, and sector authorities. Many of these are vying for ultimate control. The leading powers are directly from the Imperial Ruling Council who still hold firm to the ISB and maintain control of Galactic Center (Coruscant). Warlords consolidating their power to key systems have allowed for vacuums in imperial law enforcement and both piracy as well as more organized crime now runs rampant in the outer and mid rim sectors. Rumors are that there is a particularly talented Imperial commander who seeks to re-unite the Empire. Will they serve as a more benevolent autocrat? Will re-establishing the Empire bring order to the galaxy? Or will it rob it of newfound freedom.Theme: wild west, uncertain futures, much more crime heavy
>>97561334I don't think I agree. This just looks like a nonsensical mash-up of familiar shapes.
>>97561334Better yes, but I think it goes too far in the otger direction and looks a bit too tryhard.I know it's nitpicking but the conic muzzle feels too reminiscent of the DL-44 while the ridged part at the top looks too much like an E-11.As >>97561539 said I think if you just removed the magazine and slapped a scope and some grebbles like that spring cable that would be enough.>>97560588I went to a small recon event last week. It went poorly for me. First time in a few years I went to a tournament after doing a bunch of teaching games, so readjusting myself to the competitive mindset was harder than I expected, even at such a small scale.>Tempest ForceWere your droids able to handle all these AT-ST or did you just ignore them to focus on the infantry?
>>97561656This is a tough one. I’d probably pitch both at session zero. If it were my choice I like the Emperor lives angle. But he’d have to be significantly more draconian as a result
>>97561334I was actually going to comment in the last thread that the best way to SWup an AK would be to shorten the barrel and completely remove the magazine. But shortening it like it's done here works too.
>>97561719Tempest is really rough, the turn 1 shooting they can do is basically unavoidable. I won by the slimmest margin, ending up at 14-13 on round 5. My opponent had 3 repair bots on his stormtroopers and played super cagey with his walkers, so I had no choice but to focus on his infantry and scoring. It was a great game. :)
>>97560588Playing in an FFG campaign tomorrow. Painting up minis for my own upcoming campaign/Empire in Legion
>>97563431Tell me about /your dudes/ in Legion, anon. Post minis.
>>97564315Campaign: party needs to dismantle a Grand Moff's network that has entwined itself into the military-industrial complex and has greater support among the populace as a result. Grand Moff is also trying to insulate himself and his network from the Imperial system. Preview of the upcoming fracturing of the Empire into warlords. Campaign takes place nine months after Yavin, and the Grand Moff is already seeing the writing on the wall. Legion: having an Imperial force that gradually gets replaced by more and more mercenaries as they get ground down by attrition and defections to the New Republic.
Jango FettGrand InquisitorPurge TroopersUmbaransGalactic MarinesPlo KoonWhat other units would you like to see added to Legion, anons?
>>97564661Rebel SpecForce
>>97564661I have great news for you, Anon. AMG also mentioned that at least some of these will be available as both as commanders/operatives and as squad leaders.>>97564724Based. For rebels specifically, I'd like to see a proper tank, like the one from Battlefront 2 or Empire at War. Rebel honor guard could also be cool.
>>97564661The lack of JFett and GInq always struck me as odd. Fett's an obvious choice for Seps, and we got the two random jobber Inqs before the main man himself.
>>97564798My h(c)ope is we'll get an Inquisitor wave in which we'll get the Grand Inquisitor, Reva, Purge Troopers and maybe even a generic Inquisitor you can customise like the Super Tactical Droid kit. It'll probably never happen though :(
>>97564819>Grand Inquisitor, Reva, Purge TroopersI could fuck with dat
>>97564315>Tell me about /your dudes/ in Legion, anon.I'm building a Separatist Holdout so I can fight my buddy's Empire. I'm building the models so have nothing to show yet lolPlan to include only characters who are still around during the Empire so Maul, Kalani, Bossk, Cad Bane, Hondo and the generic Sep Leaders. I'm debating whether or not I'm "allowed" to bring Ventress as she's still alive then and I love her character.I also want to bring some pirates and mercs who have been hired to bulk out the Holdout's military. I'm playing with the idea of making a custom Gizor Dellso and using Poggle's profile for 'em.
>>97565211Sovl. I also feel like Gizor and Poggle are a good fit. With the new pirates coming out soon, doing a merc force should be viable>VentressI don't see why not. You could also get some other mini and run it using her rules. After all, there were plenty of dark jedi under Dooku's service in the EU.>>97564536Sounds like a lot of fun, anon
