>tqI can't even be bothered to learn what happened I've been bouncing between mono black midrange and scapeshift since valakut came out in historic
>>97562506that is why they should do it.
i hit diamond and im 0-12 ever since
I'm returning to arena after years away, do I still have to spend all my gold on drafts to actually collect cards at a reasonable rateI fucking hate limited, nothing about it is fun at all and that's part of why I stopped playing when I did. spending gold on packs was a total waste and you were pretty much forced to funnel gold to the strong draft players if you ever wanted to collect cardsI had enough wcs saved up to immediately build a standard viable deck and I've been having tons of fun playing it for my 4 wins/day and I can build budget meme decks if I want to play more in a day but get bored with my main deck
>>97563426The Arena experience between a draftlet and a limitedchad is night and day, the only other way to get as much of a collection is to spend dozens of hours a week slowly grinding out constructed events. Especially now we have half a dozen standard legal sets every year lol
>>97563633ok cool so I should probably drop it again or be happy playing 1 deck/year since I'm required to either play a mode I hate that funnels all my resources to other people or pay wizards thousands of dollars for the privilege of having 2+ decks
>>97563720more or less, yeah
>pick a random deck to play>immediately queue into a perfect counterFake bot players. Rigged games.
>>97562506Thanks for not linking the previous, faggot
>>97563426just dump all your money in to packspacks are a little over 1.5 rare WC every 10k gold (plus 10 random rares).draft, counting only your 3/3s is 1 rare WC every 10k gold (plus 9 random rares from first picks, counting 3 drafts each refunding 2/3 of the entry fee)your better drafts are of course a free 0.5-1 rare wildcard and some more draft money, and your worse drafts are less than half of a rare WC for 10k gold (plus 3 random rares from the first picks))
>"opponent goes fi--"Alt+F4, we'll try again in 15.
i want to start playing historic but only have enough wildcards to build one full deck. I'm looking at maybe Jund Goyfs or Merfolk with Harbinger. Any thoughts on what will be good as the meta settles?
>>97564070>draft, counting only your 3/3sis this assuming premier draftI would probably not get close to averaging even 3/3. I don't want to do homework to play a mode I don't find fun. I'm assuming anyone drafting likes it, is good at it and is using some sort of draft helper since the bad players would do quick draft if they draft at allI would unironically rather just pay 100 bucks and buy packs when a set that looks fun comes out than do enough homework to succeed in limited
>>97564176>I would unironically rather just pay 100 bucks and buy packs when a set that looks fun comes out than do enough homework to succeed in limitedwell that'll get you enough wildcards to play with
>>97564176yes premier draftthe thesis of my post is packs are better value on rare wildcards for the average player. draft is only worth when you maintain a consistent notably positive winrate, which you will do until you reach the elo you deserve to be in then you will be 50/50
>>97564176getting your "moneys worth" on an entry fee to a draft is a lie unless youre going 5+ wins because you dont get WC progress or golden pack progress on the 3 packs you "open" during the draftif youre trying to make actual functioning decks youre always better off buying packs, drafting is only better for pointless set completionism shit
getting tired of lessons and i want to make a dimir deck, should i go with midrange or excruciator
>>97564243yeah I wasn't disagreeing with you or trying to suggest otherwise. I'm just salty that the arena economy so heavily pushes people into draft unless they want to whale
>>97564308I like midrange. its really more of a tempo deck where you stick some small guys and protect them, but you have kaito and curiosity to draw a million cards
Niggas really be like>IF I CAN'T CRAFT 30 MYTHICS A WEEK I LITERALLY CAN'T BUILD MORE THAN 1 DECK A YEARand think they are good at MtG
>>97564385id take being able to scrap 8 cards into a wc of that rarity the fact is that 95% of even rares are completely useless and another 4% are in colors youll never be interested in playing
I simply win drafts
^all bots>xyr couldn't help it and remade this despite the fact no one wants a /mtga/sadbtw i have acquired over 70 packs playing the historic constructed event in the last 4 days
Is there an up-to-date resource on which cards are the most "value" to craft? I'm sitting on a pile of wildcards because I'm a Limitedbabby but I wanna try my hand at brewing some constructed/brawl decks just to get a few extra seasonal rewards, so I wanna focus my initial crafting on cards that are more likely to work in a lot of decks and that aren't "build around" cards - stuff like Cavern of Souls or that green Badger who seems to be in every deck I've played against so far
cube is back, /draft/ chads how we doing?6-2 with this reanimator pile at the moment
People who run green ramp commander decks, how much ramp do you actually have in your deck? 2 or 4 mana? And the creatures that generate mana, for 1 to 3 cost, are they actually good?
oh look another oneroad to 100 packs in a week lets go
turbo whale
