Hey guys, I'm going to pitch running a 3.5 E Ravenloft campaign with the Dark Lord being based off a certain game show host: Jimmy Donaldson. His realm is relatively modern, based off modern day Colorado, with the population being kidnapped or cajoled to take part in deadly games for money. My inspirations and study aids include: >The SAW movies. >Labyrinth. >Dark City. >Cube. The PCs are some poor bastards Isekaied from a Strangereal world not far off from our own. More traditional characters from DND or even the Ancient World will become available as the party starts dropping dead like flies. The game was inspired by... Just about everything wrong with Mr. Beast.

Ayy Lmaos and MK Ultra experiments alone could provide adventuring opportunities with locations inspired by Fort Nellis and the Denver Airport. Then you have cowboys, Big Foot, Chupacabra, the Dog Men of Michigan, the ghosts of slaves and Civil War soldiers. And that's before we get into Cooper with the Headless Horseman or Mark Twain with the Mysterious Stranger. Then there's Pennwise and Mr. Dark and fucking Cthulhu...
