Take a shitty TCG exclusive/first archetype, and give it support on par with Mitsurugi's.

I haven't played in like 10 years, I wanted to get back into it with some Shaddolls I heard they got new cards in the Terminal World 3 set (back in november 2025). But since that's OCG only, I'm wondering when the TCG will see those cards?
>>
>>97629020
>So I need to cut a single card from this what should it be?
I want to say either 1 copy of Aleister or 1 copy of Crowley, with a stronger bias towards cutting the latter imo. Crowley's a good card, but you effectively have 6 copies of him in the deck if you count Lacrima of Light and Genni's ability to dupe Lacrima's effect (without needing to match the activation requirement, of course).
>>
>>97629638
>I'm wondering when the TCG will see those cards?
Probably somewhere between six months to two years
>>
>>97629638
Typically you need to wait about 6 months to a year to get OCG imports, unless they're promos (in which case you need to wait for them to get printed in random sets). If you work off of that, probably somewhere in the ballpark of April to June.

Alright then. Not sure if anyone would join, but i was thinking about setting up a little group in this one discord clone called "element", that way we could organize some matches every time someone feels like testing out a new deck or just dueling.
>that spoiler has me really interested
The deck is nothing special really, literally just (almost) standard ryzeal and magnet warrior ratios, and the rest handtraps. I'm not running duoterion in mine because that means giving up on either impermanence or ghost belle + nibiru. And the point of this deck is using ice ryzeal as a starter that doesn't mind getting negated.
>>
>>97630193
It would, but the imperms serve a role in the deck as interruption, while the extra Aleisters aren't 100% necessary. You could also just like, not cut anything since 41 cards is perfectly fine.
>>
>>97631067
>Spoiler
Never heard of element but technically there is a /ygo/ disc*rd that was used for organizing remote duels but it hasn't been active in a while because most people go to locals now and it was more of a thing over covid era.
I've been tempted to breathe some life into it by hosting tournaments with prizing. Likely TCGplayer, or similar like cardmarket, credit codes. People didn't really want to do physical prizing because no shit it needs personal info and that's fair and I should have guessed as much. Also the cost of shipping is it's own hassle.

Anon, that's only the prismatic secret rare.
Every Overframe comes in three rarities. Ultra, Prismatic Secret (what you linked), and a serialized Grandmaster Rare of which only 100 exist and have stamped number on them.
There's also an Ultra and Secret version of each card with regular art.

Grandmaster Rares are currently selling for $5k+ each, some into the five figures, and only a couple have been posted online so far.

Limit Over Collection: Heroes that just released over in Japan.
It's a special set on their end so import times and nature can vary.

The first confirmed TCG framebreaks will be in Rarity Collection 5 and seem to lean towards existing cards, as Rarity Collection prefers reprints and that's only 2 months off compared to the 6 month standard.

Is there a site to find spicy stupid shit combos? I love the building aspect of yugioh but most replays I see is them winning via handtraps/sacky floodgate card rather than an actual cool interaction or engine bridging.

>>97634789
MBT's duel-taining and Farfa's Table 500 series are what you're looking for. Stupid and impractical youtube-combos but are entertaining. I'm pretty sure both series are on ice right now but both have a huge backlog for you to watch. However they're often done in a vacuum and don't reflect actual games.
>most replays I see is them winning via handtraps/floodgates
These sound more like practical gameplay than showing off combos or at least attempts at combos and showing off how a deck's combo preforms in a real setting rather than a sterile one. Often to show weaknesses or chokepoints.

So what Hero archetype should I build for Genesys?
>>
>>97635156
That's the best I can give you for variety. I'm sure there's some literal whos that one-trick specific archetypes/decks and post combos but good luck finding them.
The biggest problem is sorting the wheat from the chaff. It's hard to get past shit like "[several fire emojis] EPIC FIRST TURN 100% CONSISTENT NEW META BEATING COMBO!!!!!!! [several more emojis]" being the title and an AI slop thumbnail with barely any form of identification to find something even relatively palatable.

Heavy thing on top of them in a decently humid enviroment. They'll flatten out and if sleeved they should keep their shape. I recommend doing a bunch at once, split them up into some piles like using an existing deck to make 4 legs for your heavy item on top.

TQ: I haven’t ever gotten to play Genesys at my locals due to insufficient interest. I built Odion/Apophis specifically for Genesys. It’s a shame, because I really like the idea of the format. I don’t understand why Konami let it die so quickly. No updates in a while, no master duel Genesys mode either. I get that at the end of the day it’s Meta II and not some true Wild West format, but I like it for the same reason I like Speed Duel and Time Wizard formats: I get to use cards that I otherwise wouldn’t use.
>>
>>97638319
>No updates in a while

https://yugiohblog.konami.com/2025/genesys/what-to-expect-in-the-december-points-update/
>The next update after this one will happen around the release of Burst Protocol. There are no official large-scale Genesys events between now and then, so the primary purpose of that update will be to add points to cards releasing in Burst Protocol and adjust other costs based on the addition of BPRO.

We also got a roadmap for the format, which includes their general plan for moving out of what they're calling "early access" for the format and transitioning into normal events
>https://yugiohblog.konami.com/2026/genesys/genesys-road-map-whats-coming-next/

>https://ygoprodeck.com/tournament/genesys-proto-ycs-dortmund-4226
These are the results of those events.

Based on all of this, they're probably processing the data right now and will probably release an update somewhere between the 14th and 17th of this month, based on their track record.
Also, here's a BPRO prerelease list that they posted on their blog as well.

Like, they evidently still give a shit. They're just not being as vocal about it as they were in the first few months.
>>
>>97638399
Also fwfw; Both of the Proto-YCS events managed to pull ~200 players each, which is only 1/10 of the total participation of the main events (2.2k at Richmond and 2.6k at Dortmund), but that's not really bad in my opinion when you're talking about a side event for something that (prior to those proto-events) was invitational-only.

I can't really see that being the case in most circumstances. I'm sure they would if they build like shit and opt to not play anything alongside them such as branded or dragon link stuff. Tidying and the numerous monster based interactions they have should easily get around just about every selective protection and you should have enough big assholes in the ED to deal with them.
Or you have someone like >>97639823 piloting the deck who doesn't know fuck all about the game and just wants to LARP in their waifu fantasy and isn't good. (TBF, this is many dragon maid players)

Gonna do a read here. Both the Dragonmaid and Ancient gear player are ITT from these replays and the DM player is a giga-noob. Why else would >>97640215 mention pendulums and there's a pend replay. (FYI you're a massive baby if you're whining about deskbots of all thing lmao)
If I called my shot correctly here's some advice for the two of you.

DM player. Hit up literally any guide on youtube to learn how to play your deck even a bit. Get over your gay baby holdup about the game and learn to branch out with what you play and learn the larger game. Your lack of enjoyment is not coming from your deck choice, it's coming from your choice of being willingly stupid. Branded is the easiest inclusion to your deck and it's a basically an autopilot engine you can add to dragonmaid for your level of understanding. I'm gonna take a guess you "don't want to play the icky link monsters EW" because new thing le bad. Get over yourself and improve your deck.

AG player. I'm sure you've already told the above to Gibbs/DM player but they're being intentionally dense. There's no "trick" you can do to make them act not dense. You have to be practical and level-headed about things. They want/need the training wheels to stay on a bit longer before they are ready to move on. BUT you should eventually push them to fly on their own. The easiest thing to do is to swap decks while you've done at least some studying so that way it shows the potential the deck has and to show that it's their lack of effort to learn the deck/game that's an issue.
Thanks for coming to my couple's counseling if I assume correctly.
Or I just suck cocks if I'm off here.

>>
new to paper, best binder/card sleeves/deck box/deck mat, whatever?
tips on going to locals without getting my deck stolen or beat up in the parking lot?
>>
>>97640799
I don't exactly think there's an ancient gearfag here so I can maybe give you that, but it is pretty evident one dragonmaidfag is responsible for several of these posts.
The replays show both hands which implies the replay was most likely created in a duel room, meaning the dragonmaid player knows who they are playing against to some capacity. It also has the name Gibbs appear in both.
But the thing is that the view is flipped and Gibbs is on the other side in the 2nd. I don't remember if you can flip the view but assuming you can't then it means someone else took the video of this replay. This is schizo tier speculation though and why I think I can give you that.

Aside from all that. I don't think it's projection to say the dragonmaidplayer needs to get better at the game. We have videos of them jobbing and I think the critique is justified.

Pro tip: AVOID ULTRAPRO ANYTHING except their clear standard sleeves as disposable penny sleeves for trades and their poly deckboxes for super cheap deck storage.
>binder
Anything with a zipper and I recommend 3x3 pocket pages but there's smaller 2x2 ones if you need them for a smaller bag. Almost all binders are made for standard size cards and they'll hold YGO which are JP/small size. They will float a bit but you kind of have to come to terms with that if you want to use a quality binder. So long as you put your binder upright in your bag and the pockets are sideload style they'll stay put for the most part.
I'll shill gamegenic's binders but I think any brand is good.
Spend ~$30
>card sleeves
MAKE SURE THEY'RE MARKED JAPANESE/SMALL SIZE.
Dragonshield has been the go to for a long time but they've had quality issues over the last few years. I still think they're pretty good but maybe I'm just getting lucky. I recommend the matte-dual ones. They should be 60ct is a check.
Double sleeving is entirely optional and is done with a clear sleeve inner or outer.
Many people also like Katana brandand I can say they're good but can be harder to find in stores.
Buy 2 colors, sleeve the MD and ED seperate colors for easy seperation post game. I'd recommend you pick a generic color like black or grey for ED so you can use the rest elsewhere as you'll only need a quarter of them for one deck.
Spend ~$10x2
>deck box
If you want something good then get ultimate guard flip n tray 100+. I've had one for years and beat it to shit but it's held up great and it's very forgiving. The dice tray holds about 2 full sets of dice max but you only need 2d6 at min. I personally carry 1 full set, an extra d6 to get to 2d6, and a few small coins as counters or in case it comes up.
Gamegenic makes a similar model in the Watchtower but I don't care for their removable flaps. They are slightly cheaper though.
Spend $20‐30

>mat
Rubber back mats are super standard and are the tried and true option. Cloth mats (no rubber on the back) are nice but aren't anything crazy special.
Get a playmat tube. Monster playmat tubes are the cheap option and work perfectly fine.
You can find a design that suits you online. The chinkshit sellers aren't actually that bad if you see one. The print quality is maybe a little subpar but I've never minded it.
You can also do a custom one but expect to pay more.
Spend ~$25 for an art one.
~$15 if you just want function and get a solid color one.
>extras
If you're not confident with your mental math or being able to do it quickly then a super simple calculator doesn't hurt. I recommend it because there's going to come a day where you want it and your phone battery is low/dead. Spend $5
Pen and paper is nice for tracking LP in case a similar situation to the above happens.
Tissues/napkins. You'll be glad to have some.
If you have an OTS store, download yugioh Neuron from an appstore and make an account so you have a Konami ID and can access it if needed. Go to Data at the bottom for the account login/signup.

>>97641580
Their quality is lower than I would like for many products and while the cost is lower Im fine with spending a few dollars more for something better. I don't dislike every one of their products and I think they're good if you need cheap things like I said with the cheap deckboxes and penny sleeves. Their biggest sin is them plastering their shitty logo all over their products.
Their gloss eclipse sleeves are ok but they seem to get gummy faster than other branks for whatever reason. They're fine otherwise but still, why would I get them over others?
Though I will go to bat for their One Touch magnet clasp display slabs. Those are cool but aren't needed at all.
I see UP as a kind of Store Brand TM option to actual products. No shade to people that use them, I just recommend the real version.

Their quality went to shit after COYID, i still have a couple deck boxes (the cheapo $2 ones) from them that i bought in 2009 or so, and they're still in fantastic shape despite being nearly a decade old. I always buy the same one every time (clear/translucent), so you can actually tell the newer ones are a lot more flimsy.

Another thing anon didn't mention, is that you should also avoid KONMAI products, more specifically their sleeves, deck boxes, binders and dice. Their mats are hit and miss, generally the ones you win in previews and YCS' are of high quality, but i've heard horror stories about the $20 ones you can acquire in any TCG store. The masquerena one i bought in 2019 or so is still in great shape however.

Vault x binders definitely, more so if you plan to use it as a coomlection (ie full of cute girls) or trade binder, as you don't want the cards in it to get damaged. You should use sleeves anyway, the "penny" ones >>97641538 says should be fine.

Basically.
>sleeves
Dragon shield (dual) matte, with dragon shield outer sleeves if you want your deck to be safe from the elements. Ultimate guard katana is also high quality, but they're more than twice as expensive as dragon shield.
>mat
Official KONMAI ones, but not the $20 ones they sell in any store, feel free to splurge a bit on any of the JP exclusive ones, like pic related if you want to play mind games on your opponent (the tits will distract him). Failing that you can just get any custom one from a trusted seller.
>deck box
Ultimate guard flip 'n' tray, there really is no other choice. Holds a double sleeved 60 card deck, and both your 15 card extra and side deck, with enough space for at least 5 more cards ie tokens. It also has a tray for your dice.
>mat holder/tube
Ultimate guard matpod for sure, you can beat a man to death with those.
>dice
Honestly i've never really cared about this, i grabbed a bunch of metal ones more than a decade ago for $10 and it's what i've been using ever since then. I've been wanting to buy a red BLS one, but i've heard they actually fucking shatter if you drop them too much.
>miscellaneous
Pen and paper because keeping track of LP with a calculator is actually illegal in tournaments. You also have to keep track of counters (like apollousa's) with coins or dice, but if you use dice you have to use individual ones for each counter ie 3 counters 3 dice on top of the card.

That's all i think.

Other anon's vault x look fine too. NGL they're all about the same so long as it meets features like having a zipper, a number of slots per page to meet your needs, fabric covers with stitched edges, and side load pockets.
>using it
If it's a collection binder use the extra sleeves from the box of sleeves you used for your ED as you should have a lot left over. I like using good sleeves on cards I like.
If it's a trade binder use penny sleeves. Google "ultrapro penny sleeves", can't miss them when you see the plastic bag they come in. They do the job but they're literally dime-a-dozen, so you don't feel bad losing them in trades. They're standard size but nobody gives a damn because they do the job. Ironically the gold standard.
>what do you do with cards
>do you store them all in binders
Anything I like personally goes in a personal collection binder, and anything of value or trade bait (like staples, even if cheap) goes to a trade binder. If you're a newfag, generally speaking Super rare and lower aren't work shit, Ultra rares are sometimes worth money, and all high is almost always worth something. Sometimes if an archetype is in high demand I will put it's lower value stuff in the trade binder next to it's value cards so it can maybe sweeten the deal as a "free include". It's bulk I'm stuck with otherwise.
I don't put everything in binders. Bulk goes in bulk boxes which you can usually buy from your LGS for pretty cheap as they buy them in bulk and will likely give you a better rate than even amazon. IE my locals ask for $5 for the exact same thing amazon has for >$20 https://a.co/d/0gVqAZQ0
Just ask for shoebox size bulkboxes and they will know what you mean.
I will penny sleeve some foils I put away in bulkboxes but anything non-foil I just throw in the box without a sleeve.

Pic is me pushing a new one (bottom) together with and old one (top) so they have the same stress. You can see how much flex the new has over the old's firmness.
I even kind of like the texture they had.
Not to say the new ones are bad, they work just fine. But it's just a drop in quality.

>deck box
Do not fall for the flip&tray/watchtower meme unless you're playing Endymion or some shit, the boxes are massive and waste backpack space for dice/counters you either don't need or can already carry in a regular 100+ box like picrel.
>>97642799
Top is what Konami boxes look like actually, their sleeves and binders are absolute dogshit quality but I was pleasantly surprised by the sturdiness of one gold pride box I bought. Unfortunately being too small to carry a double-sleeved deck makes it unusable for me so I can't comment on longevity.

After playing Master Duel for a bit I want to finally buy a paper deck. I'm a lazy brainlet though, so I want to buy three structure decks and smash them together for a semi-playable pile. Should I go with Beware of Traptrix or THE CHRONICLES DECK: Spirit Charmers? Yes, I want to buy into one of these two simply for the waifus.
>>
>>97645257
>before of traps

God good, as one does.
>>
>>97645257
Well the optimal deck you can build with 3x the charmer deck is by removing all the charmers and instead building a horus deck because the charmer cards are kinda ass. But horus is pretty good.
Triple traptrix decks builds traptrix. It's a hard go-first deck since it's trap based but is decently strong if you're skilled at winning coinflips.
I think this is all you want to know.

If you really want to buy a deck you've made in MD and you're just too lazy and/or stupid to figure out TCGplayer I don't mind making up a list for you to just copy/paste into mass cart entry on the site to auto add everything and you just click buy.

Don't get me wrong here but if you're just thinking with your penis then I think you should visit pixiv/gelbooru before you visit TCGplayer or this list.
Not joking it might be the more optimal way to search for an archetype that suit you if your method of picking decks is solely with your dick.

>Click and see name in tags
>Look it up yourself or make but a short list and ask here for which matches your playstyle

Oh and one more thing. Use negative tags to exclude the obvious bloat like DMG so that way you're getting more variety.
>>

>Scroll through yugioh + female tag on pixiv/gelbooru sorted by date

>Click and see name in tags

Would that give me single cards only? I see decks with female character cards but they are often the only waifu cards in a deck while Traptrix, Maids and Charmers make up the bulk of their decks.
>>
>>97645832
That's why I said you look it up after. Take the character name and jam it into google, then look for it's yugipedia page. Most of the time you won't even have to do that as the character name includes the archetype. IE Traptrix rafflesia is of course a part of the traptrix archetype. Then you can look up the entire archetype.
And then there's the latter option which is to just get a bunch of names, posted here, and then we help you sort you out.
>But they're the only one in the archetype
So? If you like just one then just enjoy the one.

I'm only going to spoonfeed you so much here. Even if I listed off a bunch of archetypes, it would still require you to put in some effort to look into them.

New player here, thinking of going to some locals irl. Been trying for days stuff on MDPro3 and I finally found a deck that I like and tried to perfect it (and not too much expensive irl), is it a good deck for first local ? Thinking of buying it with singles

I really enjoy the flexibility of invoke + blue eyes and being able to print out negates, and the combos are fun and can easily branch, I really enjoy learning new combos and practice them. Any suggestion / recommandations ? Thanks frens
>>
>>97646504
Generally it depends on your locals, since it's either the case that they're hyper-competitive or casual.

Invoked Blue-Eyes isn't a very strong deck these days, so I can imagine that you'll struggle a bit no matter what. That is not to say that it's incompetent by any stretch, just that it puts up interactions too slowly compared to the likes of Dracotail (which you WILL be seeing if you have a competitive scene, since Branded/Dracotail is an idiotically strong combo thanks to white albaz).

One thing I can recommend if it becomes feasible for you is to splash in The Fallen & The Virtuous along with a couple of copies of Albion for generic removal. Only catch with it is that it demands at least two or three ED slots and BEWD's ED is pretty tight, so it'd probably be more appropriate to put that package in your side deck.

Blue-eyes doesn't run 3 dragons unless it's running the magia combo (kaibaman, ultimate fusion, chaos max and BEUD), which is win more in a deck that already summons several negates.

Wishes is literally your best card, you should always max it out.

You don't need 2 tyrant dragon, i'd run augoeides in place of the second copy since that means your invoked cards aren't dead past turn one, plus it's a pop on summon that can get insanely big, and parking his ass is better than parking tyrant's since it gets to pop a card whenever your opponent special summons.

Everything else looks fine, AFLD is about as useful as moonlight and lightstorm, so no complains there. I don't know what that (2) card is though, but i do know you can only have 2 droll so replace one of its copies with the third wishes.

That side deck is pretty wack, 2 storm 1 duster is standard, lancea won't be that impactful now that maliss is out of the meta, and you don't have targets for ultimate slayer, you don't even have space for them in your extra deck.
>>
this any good?
>>
>>97649286
No. Not because Millennium-Eyes or Duality aren't good, but because there isn't really a justifiable reason to run Magician of Faith. You'd be better off using Effect Veiler if you really wanted to go that route, since it has better generic use as a handtrap and you're gonna be using your Normal Summon to facilitate this no matter what (unless you're cool and summon Selene to revive Effect Veiler)
>>

I really don't know how my locals are. I frequent heavily some cardshops in my city (mostly for mtg and riftbound) but I never really spoke to yugi players until now, so I'll see. But I live in a big eurocapital and they are multiple shops and locals, so I'll scout a bit to find the most beginner-friendly and play here first. But because I'm new and the game is harder irl than in simu (no blinking light and ''you can do stuff now'' lol) I kinda expect to be destroyed for few weeks until I really get the hang of it

Yeah some people warned me about meta decks but desu I feel like if I do some research before (like learning their chokepoints) I can manage a bit and not be absolutely clueless and be a little bit proactive with my hand traps

The Fallen & The Virtuous + Albion seems good albeit pricy for a omni removal, it their any cheaper options (card size wise) ? Because I feel like sacrifying 3 extra deck is kinda hard in this deck :/

>>97649219
Some people said to me that I must run 3 because of muh Kaiba. But the real reason is that with Majesty of the White Dragon I can remove 3. But as you said Wishes is amazing so maybe I should remove 1 Blue Eyes for 1 more Wishes ?

Yeah I tried a bit with Augoeides and it's amazing, I'll replace 1 Tyrant with it. But I also really like Mechaba and I kinda want to put one more but the extra is tight, I feel like everything here is crucial or at least have some really great niche usage

The (2) is Ash, I don't know why MDPro3 don't display it correctly. But yeah I just learned now that the banlist of MDPro3 / MD is not the same than TCG so I feel like an absolute moron

I sadly don't know enough cards to craft a nice side deck. I just searched commonly used side decks cards and picked the one I feel the most useful. Ultimate Slayer seems nice tho, albeit pricy because my extra is packed with useful shit. I was thinking of maybe adding some trap cards like Solemn Strike / Warning but idk, traps feels kinda slow
>>
>>97649839
Funny trick you can do for sidedeck building is to put Kaiju-like cards in. They serve the same purpose of removal and are generally just good against some of the crazy endboards you see these days (in the case of Lava Golem and Sphere Mode, two kaiju-like monsters).

>Why does this have to be so gay and retarded?
I think those two words describe you more than the situation.
Standard size sleeves are too large for jp size cards. Sure they'll fit in it but it's like wearing oversized shoes, you look stupid and they fall off. The cards will float around the sleeve and possibly out a bit exposing them to be damaged.
Normal is the basic sleeve. Outer is to sleeve over the normal sleeves for cases like art sleeves or some other fancy sleeve, this is a type of double sleeving. Inner is for protecting the card more and is the usual method people double sleeve, it's useful for sfuff like staples that you might move around between decks.
You can technically double sleeve using a standard sleeve as a makeshift outer but it has the fitting problem still but to a lesser extent. Note if you do that then one of the layers has to be a clear sleeve but the other can be any type. This is a tournament policy doc thing. ALSO you can only double sleeve at most for tournaments that abide by the policy doc.
If you're paying $15 then you're overpaying assuming we're talking dragonshields or katanas. They cost 10 from most sellers, you can buy direct for that price so no excuse to pay markup besides impatience. Dont pay over 12 if you really need them because you can find them on amazon for 10-12 and that's basically next day shipping.

TLDR
This isn't rocket science. JP/small size cards go in JP/small size sleeves, normal sleeve if you will. Inner and outer are labeled such as they are for double or triple sleeving AND WOULD MAKE SENSE IF YOU READ THE PRODUCT DESCRIPTION. And maybe spend a second looking at prices to compare different sellers to find a good price.

I'm taking a good guess you're the coomer. I don't mind helping you along but drop the whiney bitch act. You're an adult and going to be interacting with other people when you play. Best to break the habit now. Nobody likes a big baby.

Not worth it. Also i just noticed you're running hieratic seal, but no targets for it, so you might wanna swap the third vanilla for a jet dragon instead.
You don't need another mechaba.
>The (2) is ash
Alright, then just swap around the ratios of droll and her, and your deck should be mostly fine.

You don't have fuwalos, but nibiru (at least at my locals) has about the same impact as it, since meta enjoyers can no longer summon apollousa (banned) or caesar (moon got banned too, they now have to hard draw engraver to do it) before setting up their field, and everyone else is on some giga combo deck that only puts up a monster negate way after it would have mattered.

Sadly there isn't actually a true unga deck in YGO, the closest would be lunalight, but that deck actually has to combo a bit to get their bagooska and double liger dancers onto the field.

Try either stun morganite (the one where you use the eponymous morgana and her spells, plus the vanities), runick or odion, they aren't "stompy" decks like you want, but piloting them doesn't require a single brain cell, that's why they're so hated.
>>
>>97651702
Some Tenpai blind second list is probably what you're looking for if you're looking to avoid both intricate combos and interacting with your opponent as much as possible. The consistency hits are rough on it and it eats shit to Radiant Typhoon but it's at least playable.

>I'm taking a good guess you're the coomer
If you're referring to the guy that posts the pixiv, sadpanda, and kemono links, then no, that guy is not me. Sleeves are simple enough that even my spank monkey brain has no issues with them.
>>
>>97651702
There's very few autopilot decks and even less main deck only ones. The bread and butter of yugioh is the extra deck so you're not avoiding it.
If you can get over that hurdle the tried and true answer is Swordsoul (but without tenyi if you want to keep it simple).
Features easy bake combos that make big assholes. Literally 4 steps
>Summon mo ye and use her on summon effect to make a tuner token
>synchro those 2 into chixiao and use his effect on summon to get any name (usually longyuan or blackout, get the other if you drew into one but longyuan is prefered) AND get mo ye's draw from being used as synchro material
>Use longyuan in hand to summon itself and a token
>Synchro them into either Chengying (if you already have blackout, read the cards together to see why) or Qixing Longyuan (if you don't have blackout, he operates alone fine), AND do some burn damage from longyuan being used at material
Congrats. Chixiao is a negate, blackout is a double pop, Chengying is a banish when used alongside blackout, Q. longyuan is a one each monster and S/T banish.
This is one of the basic combos you can do but there are others, just google pure swordsoul combos and there's videos and infographics.
Q. longyuan sets up a bunch of banished cards. Chengying raises his stats and drops the opponent's based on the number of banished things. You can make him the turn after using a longyuan again and there's your big stompy.

You will have to deal with chains and synchro summons. That's it in terms of "complexity".

Is Labs/True Draco even back in the meta? I only really played Labs but my problem with that deck is I stopped my opponents turn and then I get fucked because I don't have any starters to get shit started or I do and oh my god they ash'd my welcome.

How does Centurion play? I know mostly it's just field spell -> opponent special summons -> it's my turn now.

Swordsoul for sure, sky striker is a link deck, and mitsurugi is technically a ritual deck, but you can use it for link climbing and rank 4/8 xyz, all this pack was missing was a synchro deck and swordsoul is easy to pilot compared to something like cunny forest or even synchron (which was in the previous legendary decks).

I'd play Gestalt if I were you. Should still be a fresh experience even after playing PS3. The father-daughter relationship is much more understandable than the purposefully incestuous brother-sister counterpart.

As for Automata? It's bad because it's good IMO. A Yoko Taro game that plays well just doesn't feel right. Having fun genuinely doesn't lend itself well to the themes of torture, madness, and pursuit of your goal at any cost present in his games.
Just fap to 2B.

Oops meant to post this on NG, to keep this on topic, is there any interesting stuff being done with Dmod? I've been theory crafting for a while (like weeks) on what can be done with the deck and I can't seem to find the perfect engine (really main deck since DMOD is more of the engine). I'm trying out now Magistus and Horus stuck together with a bit of Shaddoll draw engine in there but it's just kinda...low power. I feel like I just do all this shit for 2-3 negates and MAYBE magician's right or left hand but it's still sorta weak compared to what the meta is on.

>>97652835
uhhh the second one sounds way more based than the first one
>>
>>97652772
That's entirely fair. The current iteration of the game is hard for new players to get into, and significantly harder for old players to get into the further back their experience is. People that fell off around ~HAT format (May 2014) don't really have that much trouble getting back into the swing of things, but people that fell off around Edison and before will commonly have a lot of trouble getting back into the game, if not outright failing to do so.

Those aren't the same as yugiboomers. Yugiboomer is a strictly derogatory term for whom all of the above things apply, but will invade other peoples' spaces to antagonist people that either got into the game recently, or were able to stick with the game because they still like it. They will pretend that everyone that plays modern is a brainwashed sheep that has zero faults with the current format, in spite of the fact that most of us who play the current format probably have a shopping list of shit that we'd like to see go on the banlist. They'll pretend that GOAT and Edison (rarely Reaper because they don't actually play legacy formats) are without fault, and then fall back to whattaboutisms when you start calling out those faults. A normal person would either just quit the game or find a good community of legacy players, of which there is no shortage.

If you just play legacy formats, like legacy formats, wish to discuss legacy formats? None of us will give a shit. It isn't a mark of shame unless you conduct yourself in a shameful manner.

>>
>>97653489
So do that more for Yugioh cards.
I feel like that's a very Yugioh thing to do.
>>
>>97653465
Gonna make this real simple then.
Are they collector cards? Get nice and proper sleeves because you respect your collection.
Are they trade binder cards? Ultrapro penny sleeves. They'll fit poorly but you don't need to care and the other person doesn't care because it's all transactional. The sleeves do the job to keep grime and basic scratches off them.
>>
>>97653575
Not that anon but I tried to get Japanese sized Dragonshield sleeves for my binder and they all jut out of the slots awkwardly which made it a pain to turn the pages on top of looking bad.
Penny sleeves are probably a lot better in general if you REALLY think putting them in the binder isn't enough for some reason.
>>
>>97649839
There aren't smaller packages than The Fallen & The Virtuous, which is why it's seeing so much play right now. It is just fully generic removal that resets itself, which is a hard thing to come by.
>>
>>97653626
Are you using a Konami binder or something? Otherwise if you're putting them into standard size pockets, which is most binders, then that shouldn't be a problem at all. Because JP size cards and sleeves are smaller in both dimensions.
>>
>>97653699
>Are you using a Konami binder or something?
I am. I have the DMG one.
If the makers mentioned ITT made zip binders with nice Yugioh covers I'd use those instead though.
>>
>>97653708
Well, you choose form over function. Not much you can do if that's how you want things. Perfect fit sleeves might reduce the amount of hanging out in the konami binders but that's likely the best you can do.
Or you suck it up and use a normal (standard size pockets) binder if you want nice sleeved cards in your binder.
>>
I posted this over at /mdg/ but I assume you guys would be more technical on what's upcoming. I was planning on grabbing this (need magistus and horus engine left) but I'm wondering if there's a way to up the power just a tiny bit extra deck wise. Is there anything upcoming that would really give this type of pile a boost? Did some initial testing and really impressed with the consistency but it feels awful drawing handtraps and no "discard" targets and even so one Dark Dragoon at minimum feels pretty good but I feel like I can boost my end board a lot more. I know there's the whole DMG -> Baronne/Bystial/Dragoon but running another Gaze and Magician's Rod feels a little too bricky for me and the ratios is already hard to manage.

Yeah I looked it over and it seems to be its own separate thing based completely around Call of the Haunted and its own new support. Zombie World+Ballerdroch could probably be included but it would make it a secondary part of the deck that would impede the new support rather than help it's built in engine. Oh well. Guess they didn't want to buff zombies so badly with something as good as the new Snake Hair

Spellcaster pile is just not a thing yet. When building anything, look at the individual parts of your deck first.
>shining sarcophagus
You draw magician girl, set sarc, summon destruction, search gaze, summon dragoon on your opponent's turn.
>horus
You discard to search the other sarcophagus and make a rank 8, to do what exactly? Orcust benefits from dumping its names with zombie vampire and summoning one, but what are you hoping to accomplish here? Dumpíng restage to search the hands, or metalfoes fusion to get a draw? bruh
>magistus
Spenta on its own just adds crowley, who then summons itself and fuses? You don't have a single normal summon here, so running the full engine ie zoroa + chorizo would have been a good choice, but to be honest i don't even know what your deck is supposed to do.
>diabellstar
Same shit as dark magician girl.

I genuinely don't understand your deck, but from a quick glance i'd say you're better off just running pure shining sarc instead of whatever the fuck this deck is.

>Shining Sarc
Yeah
>Horus
More bodies to do link plays or Hope or some sort of Rank 8. Zombie Vampire is more if I really bricked and didn't play anything. King Sarc helps once I draw with Diabelstar engine to dump Magician's Restage. Horus can also go into Dark Dragoon as well.
>Magistus
Just another filler engine. I was thinking of expanding it but then I run out of space for handtraps.
>Diabellstar
Same thing as Horus and Shining Sarc.
I've been trying to look for a discard engine but there hasn't been anything that I could find that's good in hand and also as a discard target. I might remove Shining Sarc for a full Magistus Engine since Horus and Diabelstar already have Gaze in it's "combos". Added Destruction Buster and it's link 2 as well.

sharks are dead too because konmai saw fit to ban fucking bahamut shark instead of the actual problem card, toad, even though the only deck that was using it at the time was ryzeal, which indeed wouldn't want anything to do with bahamut if toad was gone

If you're the anon wanting to build the horus diabellstar shining magistus pile, it's not """toxicity""", people just don't want you to waste resources on a shitty deck that doesn't really work. They are practically BEGGING you not to do it, and yet you see it as criticism.

Once again i will recommend the mitsurugi fiendsmith pile to you, which uses quite a bit of the cards featured in here, but can actually get you to diamond (and master, if you're willing to put in the effort) rank just fine. Once you get there, feel free to craft your retard pile with all the gems you'll get, but until then stick to something meta, to make the monthly climb easier.

I'll even share my build, just so you know i actually put my money where my mouth is. It isn't as optimal as it could be, but it's 90% of the way there, and i prefer having bridges to each side of the deck no matter which starter i open (thus the lyna and chorozo) because it's what i use for dailies and cups. It used to be ryzeal mitsurugi/fiendsmith, but they killed my poor little robots last week with the cross ban.
>why this specific deck?
Because it's technically just 2 really good engines thrown together that you can splash into almost any other deck. It's not a waste of resources in the slightest.

If you mean with asking for feedback.
It is if the asker resists feedback and starts to act like they know better than other people who objectively have more experience. If the person who asked was more experienced then they wouldn't need to be asking.

If you mean deck building in general.
Generally speaking yes if you're casual and no if you're competitive. Deck building something "good" usually requires making the most effective choices. This doesn't gel with a casual mindset because they want to play suboptimally and it usually means they have to cut their "silly/fun/cute tech cards" and is perceived as toxic.

Kind of. The thing is that you need to be clear about what you're looking for when you're building your decks. There's a spectrum between the people with their noses close to the metaphorical grindstone that is a conventional build, and jank enthusiasts that love seeing youtuber combos. You'll get the former when you make it sound like you're looking for help, the latter when you're very clear in that you do not want help and just wanna shot off the cool shit you built. It's all about intent.

One of the things I built a while ago was a Gren Maju deck that also had Malefic Cyber End Dragon and Ecole de Zone for the sheer sake of it. The way it worked is that you'd summon Gren Maju or Malefic Cydra, Ecole de Zone would dupe their stats and frag them, and you'd have beefy bodies on the field that can't direct attack but are immune to gay shit like negation and Forbidden Droplet specifically. That was worse than conventional Gren Maju builds at the time, but they did hard-counter some decks that needed specific traits on the field.

For a tier 2 deck (in OCG) that got censored to shit in TCG? I would honestly just play sky striker instead, it's seeing slightly more usage than elfnote in OCG, and you get 80% of the deck just by buying a single copy of the upcoming legendary modern decks, literally all its missing is radiant typhon vision + MST (not even a dollar for them all) and that one new albaz quick play that pops cards (too expensive for my liking, i regret not getting 3 of those when they were going around for like a dollar each).

I can never catch a fucking break with this deck.

It's an easy enough fix. Either I dislodge my head from my ass and get a couple copies of Illusion of Chaos to substantially bring the point count down, or I just remove 2 copies of Upstart and replace them with copies of Unveiling and Draping from my Side deck. I'm not actually complaining for real, it's just funny how my deck in particular has to adjust to the point updates.

Thing is that there is a reason that I run 3 upstart, in that it potentially triggers VM all three times per turn. The fact that it effectively makes my build a 37 card deck is also a plus.

I'm in the same boat as you right now but for a different reason. I think the archetype plays very interesting but not interesting enough to justify the pricetag of several hundred.
The best bet is that it and the other Mediass archetypes will be in the 2026 megatin as they usually contain the sets from Q2 of the previous year to Q2 of the current year. Meaning elfnote's core cards could be in it but the upcoming support a little bit from now might not. As a disclaimer this is all speculation, konami does whatever the fuck they want at the end of the day.
Don't take this too personally. But it sounds like you're more just interested in cranking it to the characters than actually playing the deck. Maybe just buy one of each card as a sort of collection and then move on.
