>>97630825Assuming that we can obtain s4+ boons, if you use them to become a beyonder of a path that is good at deduction or information gathering, there is no need to buy potion formulas of equal or lower sequence than your boon sequence because you can just feed characteristics to something to make it a demigod and look at it to know the most important parts of the potion formulas.

>>97632057>You should take it if you’re maxing levels.I guess if you start at level 4+ then waiting for the next level up is not an option because of how slow leveling gets. but at the same time I don't understand why someone would do that because it feels like a very short sighted strategy, sure you have really high stats compared to other adventurers of the same level but stats aren't everything and you end up missing out on great skills, spell or even training to really take advantage of those stats.
>>97631888My builds routinely get rated pretty low. Probably evens out to a C+. I don't care because I still think my builds would be fun to play.
>>97632102Are there any cure-all potions in this setting that have the same effects as g-rank Resist?
>>97631964Sure. Resist was never in consideration for taking anyway. DA slots are far too precious to waste on it.
>>97632123potions? there is one expensive potion that heals all wounds and status effects, no idea how expensive cure-alls without the healing effect are, but at least they should existthere is also magic armor that improves your resistance to status effects, so now I'm starting to think resist is even less necessary than I thought

>>97632335Easier because you can control who gets what traits, harder because the powers are much stronger.
>>97632337Perhaps you want to dominate a cyoa with your build, because then its success/popularity is YOUR doing.Or you want plenty of (You)s, and you're bound to get engagement this way.Or you're schizo for real and dump all of the conflicting thought patterns on the threads, which results in multiple builds.Or you're just obsessed with the cyoa for some reason (lore, mechanics, companion, visual UI) and keep returning to it like an addict.Or perhaps you're trying to falseflag 'empty' support of the cyoa, hoping the general opinion turn against it and you'll never have to deal with it again.

>>97633468Bad idea. One super power can wipe out multiple worlds and if the proportion of supers stays the same you'll have more to deal with in total as humanity expands.
>>97634200But humanities survival abilities would also expand, and by alot more given the informational fogAlso, people might even be able to stay in their lane at some point. The entire comic was just about retards suffering from their interventionalist policies and then learning nothing(And the cyoa existence will be anon suffering for his pathological need for affection and his harem whittling away his sanity)
>>97634200>One super power can wipe out multiple worldsAnd now the other superpowers can actually stop them without it dooming humanity because they're not all on one planet that each of them could easily destroy
>>97634230Would it really expand? It might help if two retards fight without prep time and only a single planet gets destroyed. But it also creates a huge amount of space that can't be effectively policed, which is brutal for the cyoa where the main concern is one supreme accumulating enough power to make an attempt against the others. And in the comic this is a death sentence because apparently there's hundreds of world ending super powers that will come into existence unless pruned by a telepath.
>>97634230>>97634260I'm gonna be honest I would genuinely trust a bunch of anons here with superpowers more than I would the average population
>>97634260You can't just wander out into the void and find a planetA light year is (3e8)(31,536,000)=9e15 metersYou could shoot out 10,000 earth destroying blasts and they wouldn't hit anythingUnless you know what you're looking for, any planet is aloneNot to mention that almost all of the supers seem able to live in space, meaning the number of "Me and my harem" types will be limitlessWould you really risk starting shit when the void is both empty and filled with people who could hypothetically be mad at you? When there is literally never a clear path to victory?
>>97634287You've heard our honest opinions on what we'd do with it, and you are relatively familiar with usIt's normal to trust what you know
>>97634303You can expand that to most of this site (SOME boards excluded because they are basically mental asylums) and it'd still be true. And anyway, just about the only thing that matters is who is the telepath. Anyone else can be dealt with, but the telepath can literally hold all of humanity hostage. Oh sure he can't breach your mind at first but he CAN threaten to have every single person you've ever liked kill themselves. This is why the only viable choices are either supreme telepath or supreme sorcerer. The supremer sorcerer could, in theory, hop to an alternate dimension where the telepath can't reach them or threaten them and then go on to make a ritual to bind the telepath to a single body so they can be killed, even if it'd probably take some time to acquire the materials.
>>97634331Also, unlike the comic, I don't think any of the other Superpowers can automatically detect who the telepath is. So, unless the inventor and the sorcerer can bullshit something up, they can just keep hidden and act through a proxy.
>>97634345Sorcerer says you can do whatever the fuck you want with enough time and ritual. It's literally the "prep time" pick.I'm paranoid enough that if I were to gain such powers I would know to erase all memories of me from all who know me and then hop over to a dimension where I can't be reached and spend the following weeks making up a spell to get rid of the telepath. It really just fucks everything up to have such an insanely powerful pick because even if you can't fight you literally hold all of humanity on your fingertips, you cannot have a fair balance of power with someone like that on the board, it'd be like fighting someone with nukes when you don't have any.
>>97634331The most likely person to actually fuck with the telepath is the bionic guy, but only if they are willing to abandon their humanity and become a sentient cancer, spread to the brains of every living human at once and then simultaniously change every available human to be just barely ineligible to hold the telepathIf you can trancend the normal ideas of what a mind is and become a distributed conciousness yourself then you can technically just be the telepath but better (And you can also cure all disease and make everyone immortal, if you don't want to body-jack them)But that just makes you the same thing but worse (Or better if you care enough about eternal youth)(Spreading cancer has happened before, and the cyoa said that you could replicate other supers, which would obviously include your own. The telepath is aware of thoughts and feelings, not the actual internal structure of a mind)
>>97634396This is why I can't see myself picking anything other than sorcerer. He is the only one capable of fighting back or even reverting that sort of "fuck up the whole human race" kind of thing that the telepath or biokinetic could do.
>>97634424I still don't know why the author felt a need to nerf the inventor but left the sorcerer like this
>>97634429As it stands, the telekinetic is a better inventor then the inventorYou get a team of scientists together and you could make a dyson sphere in an afternoon with the ability to Create parts with atomic precision and send them instantly to space
>>97634444>the telekinetic is a better inventor then the inventorThey can join the club along with the biokinetic and sorcerer
>>97634444The inventor can make literally whatever they want though? And with way less effort too?
>>97634457Unless they want to advance civilisationThey get to have dohickeys and gadgets but they can't change the worldTechnology is only good because it's reproducable
>>97634466Well yeah, pretty much no one can just give their powers to people. >>97633996>If you choose in a cyoa, you just get popped somewhere it's realThat is probably the best way for it to work to be honest, but still imagine the damage to the multiverse that would happen with so many anons choosing be the god type cyoas
>>97634505Once again I say >No one else has a "malfunctions if too many people are benefiting from it" clauseThe biokinetic can just stick to a biotech theme and do whatever you'd want the inventor to do, and the sorcerer is the sorcerer
>>97634517The difference is that the sorcerer's stuff doesn't break if too many people use itThe sorcerer could summon up a blueprint for a 2$ computer that could run fifty different instances of crysis at max settings and it would be mass produceable.
>>97634517The difference being that the sorcerer can hand that out, while if the inventor did that, it would self-destruct if more than a small community's worth of people are benefiting from it
If, hypothetically, cyoa players around the world kept disappearing, would you still play cyoa's?You know it is magic but have no evidence of any type that the place they go to is good

>>97634601>cyoa players around the world kept disappearing>no evidence of any type that the place they go to is goodThey all got isekai'd into a Surinical CYOA, the poor slobs.
>>97634520>>97634534>>97634542>>97634549People can still indirectly benefit from their benefits. So, one couldn't, say, create a supersoldier serum and then mass produce it, but you could still create a gun that turns people into supersoldiers and then shoot people with it.
>>97633996>>97634524If CYOA were real, it would have a few implications: 1. The author wouldn’t be the actual author and they’re more so channeling the narrative (however accurate) via the fictional medium. Who knows where this is getting beamed from. 2. Some alien intelligence is entertaining the narrative. It’s all a simulation. This is due to the fact that humans don’t currently have this level of processing power. There wouldn’t be a natural multiverse-themed dimension where your favorite fiction exists. Not naturally. For Naruto’s reality to exist something needs to put it into place. It’s like arguing that the 21st century could naturally occur without humans (or some other intelligent form of life capable of manifesting infrastructure) around.

>>97634669Yes, sure, that's how I imagined my Danmachi build also. But I was responding to someone who responded with "Danmachi" to "Isekai slop is never worth it". If all cyoas are "isekai slop" then it's not a meaningful category, but it's useful if applied to cyoas about isekai media (like Mushoku Tensei) or cyoas that are explicitly about isekai.

To elaborate, if I build a terraforming machine to make mars habitable and move a population there after the terraforming was already complete what would happen?> No. If you manage to terraform Mars completely, mankind can indeed live there. The terraformed Mars doesn't count as your tech as it is typically not a piece of machinery that would require maintenance from you (see 4.)also: https://www.reddit.com/r/makeyourchoice/comments/1iaj872/the_superpowers_v2/m9qcrpm/> That's why some of their limits are hard-coded within their powers, like the need of the Inventor to perform some regular maintainance and configurations of his tech, limiting the amount of stuff he can have at a time, and the factor that makes his tech prone to malfunctioning the more it is advanced and the more it is widespread / mass produced, or else there would be nothing preventing him from taking the normal, expected path, build a solid personal arsenal that put him on the same level as the other five, and then just mass produce it and make an army of Superpowers-like minions.

>>97634733Oh you retardWe are a string moving through an n dimensional spaceAll things have happened and will happen, because every possible set is just information that does and does not existLogic and natural laws limit our path through this n dimensional line to a 1d flow of time (Or possibley something a little more complicated but it doesn't matter)Anyway regardless time could have started seconds ago and it would make no difference, because the raw information and perception are two distinct thingsNaruto, the idea, has already happened. The concepts, regardless of how ill fitting they might be, can be assembled into a subspace. They have defined moves and reactions to moves. They can be represented in timeIt's on the level of chess
>>97634478I don't understand the dilemma here, the illusi were just chilling until the tsutani went full manifest destiny and decided to kill everyone else. Why would I side with the tsunari? (apart from the horns making them the hotter race)

>>97634755He’s saying that “everything everywhere every when all at once” has steps to take. Shit doesn’t just happen. Christ. Your favorite anime dimension likely didn’t just form the way way we did. It’s likely a sub-creation within, or something externally tweaked without. Causality is unintelligent otherwise and won’t care to form specific shapes for the sake of your escapist logic or fantasies, hopes and dreams, etc.
>>97634760No <3If I articulated it better you would simply misread it

>>97634760Of course he did. That's the natural consequence of talking to you.
>Causality is unintelligent otherwise and won’t care to form specific shapes for the sake of your escapist logic or fantasies, hopes and dreams, etc.Hes right you know
>>97634774Which do you doubt:>The reality we live in, up to a certain margin of error, can be represented by a very elaborate simulation>And given simulation with n variables can be reconstructed as a path through an n dimensional space, where the simulation dictates the path via some artitrary function. (You can think of this like the dvd logo bouncing on the tv screen. it is moving through a 2d space via a function defined in it's code)Given both of these, it does not seem strange to say that we could define a given arbitrary path through the n dimensional space, or that said path could follow any given rules
>>97634795Nope. It’s just not happening. Not without the necessary steps. You’re being way too hopeful, here. It’s like of like believing in a God at this point. This is why escapism is brain rot. You end up assuming physics can take any shape at any state/point and doubly assume you were unlucky enough to be born elsewhere. You being born here is why you feel cheated at all, in the first place.
>>97634803It’s sort* of like believing in God at this point (I’ve always seen the argument that “fiction can be anything! and this extends to the multiverse!” is no different from believing in an Omnipotent God, personally; a variation of it to cope with modern day reality and all its limitations; some just don’t like the shape it takes!)
>>97634803Where did I say I believe? It's just possibleNothing is likely. If you are sent to a random position on the map you die instantly
>>97634795For a Naruto universe to exist you’re basically assuming that causality is a big Weeaboo. It went out of its way to take on that shape. Gay.
>>97634808>It's just possibleI’m saying it’s “possible”, but not in the shallowest sense. You’re not having some anime themed universe without a guiding intellect to reinforce its outcome. Same way you’re not having 21st century without humans to conceive of it and manifest it. Nature doesn’t care about what you want. Not until it produces something that does.
>>97634808>engaging her unironicallyy
>>97631266I started reading this comic, and I have to say, I feel like I'm missing something. The comic starts and shit just...keeps happening without any explanation. It just keeps happening and talking about shit that happened like you're supposed to know what it is. It's like I walked into the 150th chapter of an ongoing comic. Also, like literally everyone is either brown, black, gay, or a combination of the three. They basically killed off all white people or some shit.
>>97634812It's taking all of the shapesAt onceThat's what I'm sayingNothing needs to make naruto, you need to move to naruto, which is immpossible

People keep hiding things they shouldn't hide and then everyone figures it out instantly after we are told about itThe liberal american thing only gets worse as it goes. The holocaust is mentioned multiple times and is a main driving part of the story
>>97634832You’re assuming Naruto can start at step 1. Nope. If human infrastructure is a step 2 by way of intelligence, then this is even more so the case for something like anime. Intelligence is a massive gateway for possibility and I find it disturbing how you think it’s not. Something as artificial as anime (or human infrastructure) could not happen without the intelligences required to even conceive of such concepts.

>>97634913Wow!
>>97634907Nope. For all your talk of lines, you still fail to realize that physics IS a line, and some threads lead into other threads, in order to thread their very way/existence. Causality is actually impossible to avoid. Anywhere. Even in an existence where everything everywhere every when happens all at once. Things still *happen*. >Do you think a game of chess cannot exist without a chess player?Do you think chess could exist without a human to conceive or invent the game? Or any other intelligence for that matter? Do you really think unintelligent nature would produce a perfectly square l, checkered chessboard? No. You’re not thinking far back enough. This is why you’re misunderstanding. You’re not transcending. Transcend.
>>97634907This assumes reality determines its contents and not the converse . If space defines energy then given a configuration of space, energy should spontaniously apear to match it.This is obviously absurd and directly contridicts the second law of thermodynamics. Thus we must reason that energy defines spaces and ergo reality. If this is so, then the only rules that can exist are that of our own and any theoretical reality that requires different rules cannot exist. Thus Naruto is not a possible alternate reality, though a very similar world may be possible via bending the rules.

It’s never actually specifically said by the author of Danmachi how many ‘shadow stats’ are given for every level. Both sides want to end the war easily by committing genocide which is not the answer. This weapon wipes out an entire race of people instantly. A single bad king doesn't warrant the elimination of all of their people, and self proclaimed geniuses that can't foresee obvious threats need to work on their logistics. They can both deal with their own problems themselves.I'll save the final weapon for a real threat. Over time both Illusi and Tustani will learn to co-exist especially when the current Tustani king is dethroned and reform happens from within their kingdom. Also, the Illusi should've seen this coming and bred themselves harder. They claim to have great minds but didn't think to expand their numbers. As for the Tustani, Ellisa the girl speaking talks smack about her own king and flat out admits the war wasn't justified, which means her own people know. In time they will act on that knowledge even if they were culturally brainwashed. Even with our own human history the monarchs of the past held absolute authority yet in time they were abolished for this gay democracy/republic crap we have going on now.So in short I don't care to get involved here. Deal with your own drama. I'll use the final weapon for a proper threat like a world ending invasion from an outer god or something, not something as boring as a generic world war that will resolve itself in another century tops.

If we were able to logically differentiate them, as we are external, they would not be externally the sameFrom this it follows that in any system where information is created chance must be involved, and must truly be involved at the moment the information is addedIf you roll a hypothetical dice under a hypothetical cup the dice lands on all faces an equal amount until you lift the cup and create the informationThe laws of the universe are all things they could possibly be, with some uneven distributionThe things we have seen are not inherent, and nothing was set to exist or not existGiven this, any system with logical rules could have existed, or even ones with rules that changeWithin a viewpoint there is not single natureAlso, you seem to view time as more of a necessity then it is, as though everything starts as a primordial sludge and then must be shaped into being. Things in these hypotheticals don't start, or stop, or anything else. They simply exist in the gradient or they don't. >>97636796they're both conservatives just in varying levels
>>97636796Um. The Freya familia is peak Liberal. They’re eating out their own. Impossible to work together.
>>97630812Ok genuine question, it says status thief is normally illegal? Does that mean that theoretically every god can use it, it just breaks the rules to do so, or does it mean this ability is illegal to use if you actually have it?
>>97636631Who's the cute pinkhaired guy?
>>97636796>>97636799>>97636810>applying irl politics to fake unreal shitkyselves
I’d join the Loki familia but they take themselves way too seriously. The Freya familia is just mentally ill.
>>97636866>I’d join the Loki familia but they take themselves way too seriouslyIt’s the over emphasis on wholesome team work and character development. Everyone is pitching in to some degree. >The Freya familia is just mentally ill. It’s literally a cult.
