I really hate the rules for kharadron. Ships need to come down, like 200 for a frigate, 300 for an ironclad, 100 for a gunhauler, and adjust the profiles accordinglyWith ships more expensive than greater daemons and troops more expensive ppm than ogres for a 2 health dwarf, it's miserable to build lists for. I get a couple boats and like 15 guys. If you have to nerf the damage or the speed or the health or whatever, make it happen, but I just fantasy stand how I can't even field half my collection in a single list. They’re a high tech society with metal armor, guns and flying units, of course they're more elite than the average spear wielding horse riding faction. What you want is to have your cake and eat it too. You can very reasonably field one of each boat and a decent amount of infantry, they dont need a points decrease

The arkanaut *is* effectively your big centrepiece god model. In fact I think it's quite literally priced the same as nagash, and that guy is like 800 points. (To be fair on the other end of the spectrum you've got shit like the black coach which is 250 or so).If you take two frigates instead (also quite big models) and a gunhauler you end up at like 750 points, about a third of your list, which I feel is reasonable for the amount of plastic.

>>97652486That's a bit harsh, the chieftain is certainly head and shoulders above the rest, but most of the darkoath are fine. Savagers are just marauders but better in every way, (even though I'm still not super fond of the kit besides the few obvious greats). Fellriders are decent, the warqueen is fine, chieftain on horse is really nice. Then you've got some other cool models like the gnarlspirit pack or the commemorative split eye guy. Oh and the wilderfiend, which I admit is kind of odd but has grown on me somewhat. I'll concede he's not everyone's cup of tea though.Yeah no I think the range has potential it's just let down by its most basic troop choice being so utterly garbage, genuinely on par with kamendora's blades as one of aos' worst kits.Oh, and the fact that they're kind of forever stuck as chaff and can't get much room to expand beyond that because they share their range with the ultra elite warriors of chaos. at least there's like 15 different flavours of warcry warbands you can use as marauder replacements, if you can find them
