Frenopolis is a gamified tetragrammaton clothed in the memetic zeitgeist.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ekU3T9M3E9I- 3 new ~45 card demo decks- playmat condensed- card/effect weights rebalanced- card templates redesigned- effect syntax symbols made in custom font- win condition replaced and simplified- new card effects- dedicated story card type removed- memes now use the old story symbol- swingyness/volatility of gameplay greatly reduced- overall gameplay significantly simplified and streamlinedunfortunately these changes make the previous playmat and sets sent out obsolete. I won't be sending any more of them out for the time being. You can still use the old playmat, but it just takes up a lot of space and the the new starter decks can be printed and cut out at home using an inkjet printer and some glossy photo paper, sleeved w/ mtg/poker cards. if for some reason you are unable to do this, and you want to playtest, just message me on telegram.
>>97649728here's the new playmat. it's a square now. it will easily fit on a normal table, around 22 inches
here's the red demo deck. you can easily make new decks from these starter decks. you can get glossy photo paper from walmart or amazon. there are cut lines on the internal card borders. make sure to print at actual image size. will post pdfs to the telegram so you don't have to worry about sizing printing.

Frogposters should be shot.
variable stats have been introduced, however the base stat is still 4.stats above 4 (5,... 9) are costed in the same way as effects.for example, 7 stat costs/weighs the same as "summon from pool" (MTG: cast card from graveyard/exile without paying mana cost)the base stat of a card is 4, so if a card's stat is below 4 (3, 2, 1), all of its effects are decremented by 1 full fibonacci index. this way you can put powerful effects on weak/vulnerable cards.additionally, the fibonacci weight spectrum has been modified to range from 1(min) to mono5(max) energy/mana cost. the individual indexes have been broken up into fractions, using a formula that can calculate fractional fibonacci indexes. this gives a lot of control of exactly how different effects interact with different effect types. for example, a "tap" effect will add an additional 1.25 fibonacci index to an effect.so you take the previous example of "summon from pool", which has an index of 8, and converted value of 21, and then make it a tap effect (+1.5) - the effect will be 9.5 (converted to 43.4), which is a 3-mono color 1-any (4 total) cost card, at 4 stat. increasing the stat would make it more expensive, and lowering it would make it cheaper.also negative effects (effects as costs) have been implemented. so if you want to make a card cheaper, you put an additional cost such as "discard a card" into the effect, which just has the negative value of making the other player discard a card. in addition to negative effects, there are also energy or stat costs of an effect that can also be used to make the entire card cheaper.basically every card effect and stat is weighted, so you can just write an effect and then a spreadsheet can tell you its energy/mana cost and what color it is.not saying this system is perfect, but it makes it so the effect/stat economy is strictly defined, and doesn't take any guesswork. also it makes it so there are no filler cards, all cards are costed optimally.
>>97651740these effect type symbols on every card effect have a weight and contribute to the overall cost of the card
>>97651760this is outdated but i'll leave it up because it's fine for demonstrating the game design

https://www.youtube.com/shorts/xFNFBYa2bKYi added several cards just from this guy's music, especially to violet
>>97649734Cute. Does it work as intended?
