>>97672985>TQYes but I'm still not sure how many copies should I buy since I don't know on what deck I want to focus. I'm torn between Sky Strikers and Mitsurugi.
this is my waifusay something nice about her
>TQYes, because I collect structure decks' archetypes.>>97673054I would fuck and impregnate her
>unc coming back after seeing the price tag on Grandmaster Rare Dark Magical Curtain
>>97672985is Legendary Modern Decks 2026 too little too late? other card games have surpassed Yugioh by simply offering playable decks for sale
>>97673604>uncCan't you speak normally? Do you really need to post niggers in every single thread we have? Fuck off back to r_ddit or whichever shithole you crawled out from.
>>97673606Those two things are completely unrelated. What the fuck are you talking about?
>>97673604>>97673628it's interesting to see waifu /a/ and niggershounen /a/ combined in one hobby
>>97673606Hell no, this specific product is actually bringing a lot of people back to the game. Go look at the OCG meta charts, sky striker is tier 3 and mitsurugi tier 1, and KONMAI is giving you 80% of both decks for $35. I wouldn't have gone with x-saber as my third choice (IMO it should have been swordsoul, the deck already comes with chengying for some reason), but it's fine for casual play. They had to shove this shit somewhere after all, because including it in this year's "battles of X" set would have actually devalued the booster lmao.Oh and that's also a blatant lie, not sure about other TCGs, but no digimon starter/structure deck so far has offered anything as playable out-of-the-box as legendary modern decks (and the staples are incredibly expensive, like unironically imagine paying $80-ish for 3 ash blossom in CY+11), and the only time pokemon has offered something similar is with the lillie box, which still requires quite a bit of singles, and is more of a rogue/anti meta deck than anything.
>>97673031As someone noted in the prior thread, you can pretty much get by with just 1 for Stikers and Mitsurugi (X-Sabers is a bit too weak for play in and of itself, but does got staples in it to add to the others). You can get more value out of additional ones, it comes down to the price of the decks vs buying singles. Staples on the secondary are absolutely set to drop, but even when they do, copies 2 and 3 of the deck could easily remain cheaper thanks to buying in person having no shipping costs.Generally, 1st is great, 2nd is good for giving you 3 copies and 1 spare of the 2 ofs, 3rd is just okay as its just getting a playset of the one ofs.
>sends your 11k direct hit back to younothing personnel
>>97673786Also, for clarity, you aren't picking between Sky Striker, Mitsurugi, and X-Sabers. You get 1 copy of each of the decks with each purchase. That's why they're slightly higher priced at $32 MSRP compared to the Chronicles All-Foil $20 of the Blue Eyes $12.
>TQYes because I love Raye.I was also really interested in Mitsurugi as an engine for my pet deck to get two level 4s on board without using my normal but with Harakiri at 1 that's probably not as good as just playing it straight.
>>97673833Prayers and pre-preparation can also search it. The deck comes with 2 pots as well, so that's another way to dig for it.
>>97673847If I use prayers to search Harakiri that means I can't use prayers later in the combo to get the second level 4 on board for free so that kind of defeats the purpose of the engine for what I want to use it for. My combo isn't completely dead if I do that but the ceiling is much lower. Only pre-prep really works as an alternative to it. It might still be worth it and I'll probably still experiment with it but it is kind of a bummer that they limited it before these decks came out. It was clear it was going to as soon as they announced these but I hoped we'd get a month to play with it beforehand.
>>97673863Try magnet warrior maybe? I'm building it right now because both linear magnum and magnet bonding put 4 bodies on the field, 2 of them level 4, without using the normal summon or locking you into types/attributes.
>>97673876Never mind, maybe what you want out of this engine is the two level 4's, habakiri and murakumo (omni or handrip), which magnet warrior doesn't offer. It does give you (almost) infinite spell negates though.
>>97673886Yeah the idea was to use the two level 4s to go into Pinguicula, search Myrmeleo, link off Pinguicula into Sera and normal summon Myrmeleo which is full Traptrix combo with Sera out. Mitsurugi also gave me the normal trap which could also trigger Sera so that was an added synergy I really liked. Mitsurugi also worked really well with Ragnaraika since Traptrix has no reptiles and the reptiles Ragnaraika does have are not that great so it filled in the tri-type really nicely. Made me feel like I wasn't putting in completely unrelated slop but something somewhat thematically appropriate. I play the deck in MD and it's still really good with Harakiri at 2 but I'm not sure how it will be with it at 1.
>>97673606Can you make Legendary Modern Decks 2026 with any of these cards? Genesys Format included
>>97673876The magnet warrior stuff might be interesting actually, what are the two cards you're sending with Magnum Plus Minus?
>>97673745Pokemon offers the decks that tournament winners used, and One Piece also offers powerhouse decks too.
>>97673989Everyone says that about Pokemon but conveniently leaves out that those decks are commemorative proxies.
>>97673919I also experimented with mitsurugi in traptrix, but i did it in master duel, i got nowhere with it. You can absolutely get murakumo and masquerena, with a traptrix name in hand, out of a single habakiri, but the issue was that i didn't really know where to go from there. Like, do i summon my mantis, search arachno, make sera, then make rafflesia? I need a normal trap card in hand for that, and i'm dedicating a third of my deck to mitsurugi, so that's not always possible. There's also parallel exceed, which can trigger off of masquerena, but that's just adding more bricks to a deck that already bricks a lot, without any external engines. Traptrix is just too slow for today's meta, it always felt like i was just adding shitty cards to mitsurugi.
>>97673965You can look up a guide on jewtube, but the line goes like this:>linear magnum sends plus and beta to the GY, summons itself (can't be ash'd because it's not an effect)>plus triggers, reviving beta>beta searches minus>minus can fuse itself and linear magnum into plasma magnum>plasma magnum adds a "magnet" spell, ie magnet bonding>magnet bonding adds epsilon>plasma magnum can immediately normal summon epsilon as an effect (ie you don't use your normal summon) by sending a "magna" warrior to GYThis is where the deck can "brick" irl aka you're forced to use the normal summon, if you're not running the imperion magnum package (berserkion, valkyrion and the aforementioned imperion, all of which cost roughly $40, mind you that you can buy the rest of the deck for les than $10), but you can fix this by just shuffling well or running another copy of tellusion, which is the one you send in this case.>epsilon on summon sends omega, then revives minus>minus on summon can dump another magna warrior>endboard: plasma magnum, beta (it's level 3, but the omega you sent can destroy it to summon itself, and he's level 4), epsilon and minus (the last two are level 4)Magnet bonding can search linear magnum, so you have 6 copies of it. And you can also search magnet induction off of plasma magnum to directly special summon epsilon from deck, but that means epsilon can also be a brick if you draw it. You can also just fuse flux ochsenfeld with magnet bonding to unbrick your shit since it shuffles materials to deck, but that means you have to draw both linear magnum and magnet bonding to do so. It's actually incredibly hard for the deck to brick, but i don't see it as a engine for other decks, too many bricks and sometimes it asks for the normal summon.
>>97674009I was originally running a really high ceiling deck that ended on Stag Sovereign, Benghalancer, Hyperiton and Murakumo along with the Mitsurugi trap, Ragnaraika Hunting Dance and a trap hole of my choice, usually Gravedigger with Holeutea in grave to either bring back Pinguicula, Sera or revive Myrmeleo to pop a spell/trap as a disruption. You also got a draw 3 in the end phase off Wicked Butterfly to draw into 3 potential hand traps. However the combo was really long, I would end with about 120 seconds on my timer usually and more importantly there wasn't enough Traptrix on that endboard for my taste and the board was too cluttered to actually make use of Sera even if I did bring her back, so now I usually end my combo early to simply get Rafflesia and Sera on board with Murakumo and the Mitsurugi trap as a bonus to the usual Traptrix endboard. If I ever draw into any extenders I get Mantis Monk and Hunting Dance on field.Overall I've never been unhappy with the Traptrix endboard, the interaction is really varied and hard for most decks to play through if you actually got to it. I liked it against FKSE, Unchained Yubel and even against Maliss. The problem to me was always that Traptrix simply folded if its normal summon got interacted with in any way shape or form so I really wanted to add in an engine that didn't touch my normal summon and didn't lock me so I could eat the interruptions before I actually normal summoned my Traptrix name.
>>97674021Interesting, I'll look into it some more since it does look really neat and does kind of do what I want it to.
>>97673606Between BEWDestiny, Legendary 5Ds and Legendary Modern Decks Konami seems to be making a good job at bringing in old and new players, for now...
>>97672985>TQI would because the waifus are cute but I can't afford it and personally don't find the gameplay appealing
>>97674286That's because they're about to drop 2 incredibly good staples that only metatroons can afford. Remember how pot of prosperity (a card included in legendary modern decks as a common btw) was $150 on release? Fidraulis harmonia might break the $200 price tag at last. I wouldn't expect to pay less than $100 for dominus spark either.
if you could change, remove, or add a ruling to the game what would you implement?Any game rule. Start with 20k life points, draw 3 cards to start... anything.
>>97673054>>97673932Does she have good synergy with Hamon, Lord of Striking Thunder?
>>97674417Basic opinion: Ritual monsters live in the extra deck since day 1 and all past ritual support cards were designed with it in mind like a butterfly effect.Based option: This kind counts, once per turns mechanics are changed to once per main phase. This includes normal summons and card text. Once per duel is unchanged and is maybe used more often because of this as well as that same condition baronne has where it's once while face up.99+
>>97674337>Remember how pot of prosperity (a card included in legendary modern decks as a common btw) was $150 on release? Why the fuck do Yugioh players appear so loyal and at the ready if shit like this is true
>>97674417The problem with Yugioh is I would take a sledgehammer to it and break through the walls and completely redesign this studio. One change or ruling isn't really enough is it?If I could only change one thing though, hard pressed, I would address the issue of a card's timing being so damn important. I hate seeing how a card becomes good or bad because it does this hyper specific thing, like moving a card to the backrow being better than banishment. Remember when a card in the graveyard was effectively out of the game? I wish it could feel that pure again.
is it just me or modern ygo design is>every card is a starter or can search a starter for free>every end board is 10 omninegates and 6500+ ATK of untargetable monsters>if you don't open 4 hand traps you lose
>>976748418500, sorry
>>97673996Are you retarded buddy? Dragapult, Charizard, Gardevoir, Mew and even Origin Palkia were all competitive decks out of the box with minor upgrades required to make them carbon-copies of their respective top-meta lists. Only the last Team Rocker MewTwo deck sucked ass but that was mostly a novelty deck to be sold alongside the Team Rocket accessories at PokeCenters.
>>97674841>if you don't open 4 handtraps you loseIt's just you. Apply yourself.
>>97674417I'll be greedy and list 31:>Locks like those from Rivalry/Gozen/TCBOOI would make it so that you can attempt to summon monsters while under these types of locks. >Opponent controls TCBOO>You control Feral Imp (Fiend)>You attempt to Tribute Summon Summoned Skull>After the summon is complete, your board state is still valid under TCBOO's effects, so nothing happensAlso, you apply the effects when a chain link resolves>You activate Crystron Tristaros' effect while TCBOO is on the field>Tristaros' relevant effect, (...)then immediately after this effect resolves, Synchro Summon 1 Machine Synchro Monster using monsters you control(...)>TCBOO's effect is applied before the Synchro Summon can occur>You must send 1 of those summoned monsters to the GY, as per TCBOO's effect2:>Locks like Anti-Spell Fragrance I would just make these flat-out not apply to Pendulum Monsters that you activate in the Pendulum Zone. Those only apply to Spell Cards and the original card type for Pendulum Monsters are Monster Cards. 3: >Spell CountersI would just make it so that you don't need a card to be able to hold them by card effect, so that they don't fall off when the card's effects are negated.
>>97674862OK? That's a completely different product from the one you talked about. The actual product line that releases as a copy of a worlds winning deck is not tournament legal.
>>97675371>you talkedNot everyone that disagrees with you is the same person. Anon clearly mixed up two different products but he is correct anyway since many League Battle Decks are basically meta lists with a piece or two missing or replaced with an inferior version.
>>97675388I accept your concession.

>>97675887He mad lmao.
Is there anything that I can "naturally" slot in Dogmatika (Winda) engine or do I really have to fucking play Adamancipator Dogmatika LOL I know Brave Swordsoul makes any level 8 turbo deck into Winda but I'm just thinking on how to get her battle protected too.
>>97675887lol this nigger is seething
>>97673745>no digimon starter/structure deck so far has offered anything as playable out-of-the-boxAdventure and maybe Sakuya>pokemonleague decks
>>97676047Voiceless voice. The deck summons dyna mondo at the end of its combo because that gives it 1 more interaction, but you're running the winda lock so that's not needed. Not sure how big your dogmatika engine is though, but in VV you only want maximus, nadir and extra deck targets, plus the one shaddoll schism and winda you want to use.
>>97676873nope that's exactly what i freaking want but is there even a way to bridge to Dogmatika? I can only really think of Brave Swordsoul/Rciela/Toy Box that could search Ecclasia but I have no idea other links that get her.
>>97674862>Warning: Choking Hazard, not for ages 3 or underI dunno Pokemon's an easy enough game that you could probably teach a 3 year old to play it competently without misplays or sequencing errors in a tournament.
>>97673791Would that work with pic related?>11kHow would you go about doing that much?
>>97674417Probably cause some chaos with the Extra Deck via:>Unless otherwise specified by effect text, in order to summon a Fusion, Synchro, XYZ, or Link monster from the Extra Deck, at least 1 of the materials must match 1 of the following aspects of the Extra Deck monster:>Type>Attribute>ArchetypeThis isn't intended to do something like fully fix the game. But I know Fusion has been basically designed under this paradigm thanks to Super Polymerization's existence, so I really just want to see what happens if all the others get beat with the same stick.
>>97674417If you want something more serious than >>97677594 , then not so much a ruling change as a pair of card design changes.>Adopt the Numbering system Japan uses for effectsI think linebreaks may be a lost card, but this will go a long way towards helping readability with how small the text is getting.>Change Archetypes from referencing the name of the monsters into a Subtype like Toon is, and apply that to Monsters, Spells, and Traps. We have a bunch of free space to the left of [Spell Card] and [Trap Card] as well as a bunch to the right of [<Type>/Effect] while also frequently running out of text room in the card names or doing a "This card count as <Archetype>" that clutters up the already dense effect text box. When the solution is right there with Toon.
>>97675447>>97675648see>>97674841it's ridiculous, retards.
>>97675649Are all Yugioh players so delusional to think the way games play out now is fine?
>>97677636The problem is that archetypes are a lot more ghetto than they sound. My favorite example is how Spiritual Beast Tamer Laura is both a Spiritual Beast and a Ritual Beast Tamer because Spiritual has the word Ritual in it and despite all the cope the localizers have about Hero and HERO being two different archetypes, archetype names are in fact not case sensitive. Your idea might have worked a decade ago but at this point there's too many cards that fit into several archetypes and would simply not fit in the allocated space, which is a shame because the idea makes perfect sense otherwise.
>>97677873Tearlaments Kashtira[Psychic/Effect/Tearlament/Kashtira/Revolver/Ocelot]
>>97677847No. As a matter of fact, most people that keep up with the current state of the game have a laundry list of things they want to have banned to make the game better. Difference is that we're staying in our fucking lane instead of antagonizing people that just want to play the game differently than we do.If you don't like the way the game plays? That's fucking fine. Talk about the format you like instead of incessantly whining about the game. If you can't do that, fuck off to a Youtube comment section where both your opinion and bad attitude will be more welcomed.
Yugioh how it's played is fine tho. I never want to go back to mirror force meta EVER again.
>>97677914t. bohman
What?
>>97677873There's two directions that can be gone with to resolve those concerns.>Non-Strict SubtypeA [/Spiritual Beast Tamer] implicitly includes Ritual Beast, Ritual Beast Tamer, etc in a similar manner to current naming conventions.>"From here on out"The current formatting of referencing the monster's name turns into a legacy formatting used for support of older archetypes in a similar way that "mentions <Card Name>" is used to weld together old support, while future cards primarily use the subtype structure. This is likely to be the more practical approach and can be introduced alongside the numbering update.Maybe squeeze out a dash more space for effect box readability by moving the card password, edition marker and copyright up to that space with the setcode. That'll allow for them to bump up that font size a smidge.
Yugioh would be perfect if it didn't revolve so much around negates, Kaijus and decks that allow the opponent to play during your FUCKING DRAW PHASE didn't exist and FTK/OTKs were a lot rarer and fragileThings as are now people are not lacking in options to get fucked for not going first and daring to play during their turn>Oh, you didn't draw 4 negates and DRNM? Get fucked
>>97677971It doesn't, though. Outside of handtraps, the majority of decks these days focus on non-negation-based interactions.
>>97677971>draw 4 negates and drnmI don't think this guy knows how to play the game. What are these "so called" 4 negates?
>>97677990Belle, Veiler, Imperm, Impulse
>>97678032so you're going to want all these 4 cards + dark ruler no more and then hopefully not brick and get a 1 card starter? while your opponent can play cards on your turn that could stop you from going
>>97677971>>97678032If you draw those handtraps and DRNM, you will not have anything to use when your own turn begins unless you draw into a 1CC. Funny enough, a highly similar scenario unfolded for a player in that other thread that's up right now>>97677351Problem is that he didn't know where or how to use his HTs against Memento and got punished for it, because of a fundamental lack of matchup knowledge. People MIGHTILY downplay the importance of matchup knowledge, which people like you are completely lacking. You don't know where a deck's actual chokepoints are and think that you need to spend everything trying to kill them on startup, but also complain because your plays are getting killed on startup. Learn how to actually interact with other decks in a meaningful fashion and learn matchups so you're not wasting interruption where you don't need to, and your games will go a lot nicer than they are right now.
>>97677873My favorite is the absolute dumpster fire that is Roids.>Dark Jeroid counts as a Roid monster>Elemental Hero Necroid Shaman counts as a Roid monster>Speedroids exist and have similar thematic elements as Roids, but Konami went out of their way to make the archetypes as incompatible as possible despite literally no combination of the two would be broken>all post Arc-V Roid support is now designed with this limitation in mind, with cards like Mixeroid and Dragonroid being gimped hard because of itSome higher up at Konami has personal beef with Cyrus Truesdale.
>>97678046>and get a 1 card starter? You mean the thing every fucking moden deck is built around?
>>97678068vanquish soul dust devil bite off his balls
>when your opponent opens 4 hand traps and a one card starter but you open 4 hand craps and a one card sharter
>>97678052>mementosokay to be fair that deck is so fucked, they have extenders for days lol. even if you hit the optimal targets they'll STILL hit you with some bullshit.
I want to play Dogmatika but holy fuck just because it's related to branded, the prices for the cards are so fucking expensive FUCKKKK
>>97678080That's true, but you want to do maximum damage to their setups and thus you attack their extenders, and most importantly you attack Tatsunootoshigo since he's their most lucrative extender (unless something changed about their combos since the last time I dueled against them). Point is that matchup knowledge goes a hell of a lot further than simply having an abundance of negates.
>>97677905Awful lot of projection, a lot of words to say you don't entertain discussions.
>>97678147You'll have to forgive me since I don't want to entertain a poseur that pretends like the game suddenly started revolving around using the GY as a resource like that didn't start in Invasion of Chaos, or Legacy of Darkness if you really wanna reach.
>>97674417All extra-deck monster requirements must be exact card names. For example, "Sangan" + "Witch of the Black Forest". The summoning mechanic doesn't matter. And to balance ritual summoning, it should become an extra-deck mechanic too.
>>97677905Banning cards isnt going to do shit when the basic card design post-MR4 is so fundamentally broken. The banlist itself is little more than a marketing scheme to push the current product, not to address tbe health of the game.

>>97676941There's no way to bridge dogmatika to voiceless voice and vice versa, but you can run ecclesia, maximus, servant and punishment in it without any issues.>do the whole voiceless voice combo first (starting with diviner, lo or barrier, with the first two asking for your normal summon)>pivot to dogmatika by using nadir, or linking off your lo and skull guardian to then summon ecclesia/maximusIf you draw ecclesia you can normal summon her and search whatever you need, but if you started the combo with diviner/lo, and she got negated, you can link her off for almiraj and special summon ecclesia or maximus (by linking off almiraj for secure gardna), and use them to get to your winda.I've tried pure dogmatika before, and always found voiceless voice to be a better ritual engine in the deck than its own goddamn rituals. Not that you can even run a pure dogmatika deck nowadays, since herald of arc light got banned and that card was needed to kickstart the deck 9 times out of 10.

>>97678638>The banlist itself is little more than a marketing scheme to push the current product, not to address tbe health of the game.Oh, so you're one of those types of people.Let me ask you this; What product were they pushing when they banned the Barrier Statues, Protos, Fossil Dyna Pachycephalo, Ouroboros, and D.Barrier? What product were they trying to push when they banned Abyss Dweller and Bahamut Shark? If they're trying to push product with the banlist, why is it that JUHU's archetypes are still the topping meta decks when by your logic, they should've been eviscerated after three whole banlists to make room for Phantom Revenge's new archetypes? Why is Branded still standing on business after all this time? Here's some fruit for thought; Maybe the blatantly poorly designed cards in the new sets are the attempts to push product, and the banlist is a correction of those over-reaches. Maybe it's the case that when the cards are new, there's a grace period where they're insulated from the banlist, and things adjacent to them (many of which are problems in their own right like Pair-a-Dice, Pachycephalos, King of Feral Imps, etc) get hit before the cards in their new products.Am I saying that they've never used the banlist to push product? No. But I'm telling you that it's not the primary function of the banlist. It exists because Konami's designers can't help themselves and constantly test the limits of what is and isn't okay, and when something isn't okay, it goes on the list.
