What are the most miserable settings in d&dverse?Darksun, Ravenloft and Midnight comes to mind. After that it's just outer planes like the abyss but they feel boring.Like what would be the worst places to get stranded in during a plancescape or spelljammer adventure. I know you can't normally go there, like there's that one githyanki darksun adventure with the stral plane that has some sort of connection beyond
>>97681262D&D overall is pretty miserable, enough so that I don't want anything to do with any of it.
>>97681262Don't forget there was an official Diablo 2 version of AD&D. Other than that I think you've probably covered it.>>97681431God, would you fucking retards just shut uuuuuuuup.
>>97681508OP asked a question for his shitty thread, so I have him an answer. So how about you quit board policing, wannabe janny?
>>97681262You can, hypothetically, go anywhere. You could go to Ravenloft, or go to a grimdark homebrew. You could wind up in Orc world, a wasteland where the population is crammed in crawling megacities, the nightmarish future of Jules Verne never meant to be glimpsed by man, the Republic of GREAT KANG where Fuher Karak Ogonda is about to unleash his stockpile of chemical weaponry on the albinoid mongrel Alin, you can do anything.
>>97681536>the Republic of GREAT KANG where Fuher Karak Ogonda is about to unleash his stockpile of chemical weaponry on the albinoid mongrel AlinLet me guess: his chemical weapons are overgrown mushrooms.
>>97681431>>97681521Please just give up already. On life as well, preferably.
>>97681262Objectively, how bad are the Nine Hells?
>>97681536>You could wind up in Orc world,I have been theorycrafting an orc world.I don't wanna just flip all the humanoids to orc, and call it a day.Like a more standard fantasy setting as base, but then the orcs conquered the world. There'd be a lot of low society tribal clans, maybe some orcs living in conquered dwarf forts. Not sure what proper orcish cities might look like, that would still feel orcish enough.Might be fun to have spelljammers crash land there and gather supplies for repairs so they can escape.I think the usual suspects, humans, dwarves and elves should all be extinct.Maybe bringing along some desperate gnomish survivors could be a thing, or whatever non evil race remains.
>>97681610Could be worse. Not by a whole lot though. Most of the layers have some sort of annoyance, like fireballs raining down from the sky randomly or being insanely cold, but as long as you don't entice/piss off/look at any of the denizens there, it's possible to survive for some time, assuming you brought food and water and the like. There's very few "wild" creatures, and the strongest monsters on the plane are also incredibly intelligent and prone to hiding in citadels. If your goal is simply to not die for however long it takes for you to find a way to escape, it's not impossible for even mid-level adventurers. If, however, you aggro a devil, you're basically fucked, and your life expectancy goes from a few days down to a few minutes. It also takes very little for a devil to try and kill/enslave/worse you, usually just spotting a mortal that's unspoken for, and it's hard to kill one without creating a cascading effect where more and more arrive, progressively getting stronger until you're defeated. But, considering that it's also a plane of long-term suffering and self-destruction, you're also likely to be placed into a situation where you're forced to make deals and bargains that ultimately result in the damnation of your soul. The cost of escaping Hell is often quite high, and can often be less of an escape and more just a temporary reprieve.Overall, on a scale of 1 being Arcadia and 10 being the Abyss, the Hells are a solid 9.
