In D&D 5e could a single level 1 character take on a boar? Does it depend on the class?
>>97684133Stand in tree with bow and arrowsVictory is inevitable
>>97684133this is obviously a bait thread, but i will bite anywaysa boar is CR1/4, so its intended to lose to level 1 playersthe worst case scenario is a wild boar charging a wizard with -1 constitution, where its 1d6+1d6+1 damage has a decent chance of knocking them down to 0 HP in one attackbut with 13HP and only 11 AC, just about every class can take it down in 2 turns
>>97684152>but with 13HP and only 11 AC, just about every class can take it down in 2 turnsWhat of it's "Relentless" ability?
>>97684157basically just delays its death for 1 turna problem for squishy characters, who could potentially be knocked out in one hit and so a single turn could matterbut a level 1 sword and board fighter is still rocking 18 AC from mail armor and a shield and 13 HP, so they can easily outlast the boar for one more turn
>>97684182So it does depend on class I guess lol.
>puckee thread
>>97684191some classes do better against boars at level 1, but all the classes are nearly guaranteed to win by design
>>97684306So you think a level 1 wiz or sorc has a chance?
>>97684349At will ranged attacks with elemental damage? Yes
>>97684157Relentless is only in 2014 (11 HP)2024 removed itAlso 2014 Relentless on a Boar sucks>If the boar takes 7 damage or less that would reduce it to 0 hit points, it is reduced to 1 hit point instead.
>>97684133seriously puckee, why do you constantly spam the board with these dog shit aislops?
>>97684349A pretty big chanceIf they are willing to spend one of their only level 1 spells on a random animal, burning hands or sleep will end the fight easily If they are just relying on cantrips, they still win the damage race as long as they arent using a 1d6 damage one Wizards are jusr more likely to get gored by a lucky attack, but they can still easily win
>>97684133There's no reason a level 1 character couldn't dig a pit trap and bait the retarded boar into it.
>>97684403It seems to be specifically to annoy you. He knows you'll respond so he spams out thread after thread with inane but on topic questions waiting for you to sperg out about the choice of image. At this point I doubt if it is in fact this Puckee character posting them anymore, I'd bet its some third party who just knows using these particular images will yank (You)r chain.

>>97684133Yes, most any character could. A wizard might've struggled in earlier editions, but certainly not in 4e and later.
>>97684133Still nothing creative enough to fill in the last few squares. Check the archive to see how long its been if you are so inclined.
