D20 Modern does have two spinoffs with DnD stuff in a modern setting. Shadow Chasers is about creatures from other planes infiltrating our world disguised as humans while Urban Arcana is a magitech setting that's basically the real world but if elves and dragons and stuff always existed. There's also X-Crawl, a Dungeon Crawl Classics spinoff that takes place hundreds of years later in a modern or cyberpunk near-future style era where the players are contestants in a televised extreme sports game based on the dungeons of the ancient civilizations.
