Is there even a single DND that accepts how OP and unbeatable a Speedster is the moment you apply extremely realistic physics?>Oh you have Super Strength and Super Resilience? That's nice, I go first and Speed Blitz you, I'm obviously immune to friction because I have Super Speed and I obviously have Super Resilience to survive Super Speed and Super Sight to see, now I go FTL+++ and touch you and atomize you.>Your turn, you're atomized!
>>97706012>immune to friction because I have Super SpeedDifferent powers anon
>>97706012>extremely realistic physics>immune to friction
>>97706012I think either Mutants & Masterminds or MURPG explicitly says that super speed is not a gamebreaking end-all superpower for the sake of game balance.
>>97706012>a single DNDThis nigger is calling TTRPGs "DNDs" like a boomer calling all consoles "nintendos"
>>97706102That’s all no-games know of tabletop RPGs. You think he can even name a single edition of D&D rpg that could even do what his hypothetical claims?
>>97706012Sure, plenty of games accept that. They solve super speed being OP by not going with extremely realistic physics.
>>97706012If the speedster is immune to friction how does he gain any traction? How does he steer?Don't try mixing supers and realism, the results are either cherry picked or extremely flawed.
Who would even be stupid enough to reply to a thread like this?
>>97706012>the moment you apply extremely realistic physics?And why the fuck would you do that in DND?
>>97706012If you apply extremely realistic physics speedsters get capped at around 50-75 km/s even with infinite body durability and force production. The morphology is just dogshit for applying this force into propulsion. Running speed ≈ step frequency × step length. Both factors are constrained by the mechanics of limb motion and timing even if force is unlimited. Even with a "perfect CNS" you are constrained by the speed of light and cap out below 100 km/s.
>>97706328You, apparently
>>97706012>in the wild encounter with someone who calls all ttrpgs DND lmao even
>>97706012>Is there even a single DND that accepts how OP and unbeatable a Speedster is the moment you apply extremely realistic physics?Have you tried playing Dnd?
>>97706012>extremely realistic physics>I go FTL+++
>>97706102He's figured out that he can get attention for doing so.
>>97706328It's obviously a troll thread, but I've seen some fun results from worse premises.
