I will be a FaB ProTour winner, recruiting anons to jam games with (I am a beginner and bad)
>>97710055Placed 5th in the Riftbound monthly today. Not bad for an off meta Teemo brew if I do say so myself.
>>97710055You stupid assholes did it again. Yap yap yapping while the thread is falling off the board and no one gave a fuck to make a new one and link things up. Piece of shit general. Who gives a fuck if there's one thread on auto sage, page whatever, while someone makes a new one? At least it makes traversing the threads smoother after the fact. Absolute dumbasses. You deserve everything that happened to this general.
>>97710482Why didn't you make one, dummy?
lol
This man will do anything to avoid typing acg in the search bar... except for actually making a new thread.
>>97710515>Because I wasn't around for two days, that's why.Could you perhaps extend that time frame in the future?>only actual kids or loners are posting on the weekend. It's still the weekend, anon. You ok over there?
>>97710520Guilty as charged. Sit down, knob head. >>97710523Making excuses for twat like behavior that you're proud of isn't a commendable act it's proving what a worthless sod you actually are. >>97710531Oh no, it's the gotcha police! They noticed things, what will I do? I'm checking up on the thread after playing games out of the house and then partying with other human beings and living an actual social life that you fucksticks couldn't even dream of having. Want to know what else? I fucked a girl too while I was at it; she sucked my cock, shit was so cash. What's your excuse for not linking the threads, you fecal-smeared dildo-ramming poof?
>>97710558Did you play any card games while you were out?
kek
>>97710565Not him, but I had a lovely day. It was my friend's birthday, so we had lunch and then hit up two LGS. I got him a few gifts and snagged myself a couple cat cards and another set of kitty dice, amongst other things. We got in a few games of Neopets, which is always a fun time, before heading out to the arcade/bar/bowling alley. I won a cute little stuffed wolf plushie, and my friend hit this massive ticket jackpot on one of the games.Once we sobered up enough to drive we went to Waffle House for a late dinner. What a nice day ^_^
>>97710565Yeah I got to try out the new gudnak set; the dark tapestry faction is my jam. Merfolk are kinda bullshit with that power IV leviathan. The promo cards from the kick starter are low key gorgeous, like stained glass portraits. I want to track down the booster displays now because the alt arts are nice as fuck.
>>97710638Your schizophrenic post will fall on deaf ears
>>97710666The sheer irony of calling my post schizophrenic is enough to turn the thread into an actual country with iron as its main export
I'll be honest. None of these current tcgs are interesting or competitive enough for me. Just an industry with these companies chasing after easy money.
>>97710265sure, will you be on talishar?
>>97710600oh, don't play gudnak.that community is chill and you seem like an uberdouche.
>>97710600My kickstarter arrived and I have two draft boxes and all the other goodies to go with it. Picked up a cloth 3player mat since I already had the cloth 2 & 4 version. I don't remember if these were randomly selected or not but these are the special cards I got. >>97710666checked >>97711004>taking pride in thread tradition is bad, mmkay Disappointing to see that the old guard are mostly died off. I see you guys get told this a lot, so the reprimand was a long time coming. Every time I see the most ridiculous excuses or general apathy for having any standards.>>97711004Gatekeeping is tremendously more reprehensible then using (merited) harsh language. You should honestly just take the L on this one, there's no saving face here. If you guys keep dancing on the corpse of the original /acg/ you'll wake up with it actually dead one day. This faggot proposed just that >>97710638
>>97711409
>>97711419These would make sick designs for drink coasters.
>some faggot returned to LGS for prizing>first time playing him>he whispers and single words barely audible>it's okay I know the kind of hobby I am in>mixes EN and JP cards>fine it's locals and I can read nip anyway>even with damage dealing command he just puts it in trash and taps his resource, doesn't tell me what he's aiming at until I ask him>same with any effects>same with attacks, he does them all at once as if I don't have a say to each action>after the match I only realized he misplays some one-off effect as repeatables because of how he paces things>he didn't even top above the local old dude taking along his son with his tryhard blinged out alt art deckJesus Christ.
>>97711431They're glossy on the lineart and matte on the coloring and I think they do rather look like stained glass as the other fella mentioned. Since the lineart is simplified and defined I don't think it would be impossible to fashion coasters out of these, but the squares would need to be scaled up a bit to accommodate chunky glassware.
>>97711419we eyes wide shut now really digging the new factions added, even if one's just a twist on an existing one. The monks that weave their spirituality into their clothes are actually bad ass and I love playing them too. An actual bolt of fire that you drape over a unit can then cast fire bolts.
>>97711409There's nothing gatekeeping about not stroking the ego of a schizo who intentionally avoids making the thread himself just so he can a thread more hostile for no reason other than it tingles his autism, and with that response style I know just which schizo you are. Grab some wooden blocks and poke at it for a few hours and maybe it'll get the blocks you put up your asshole of there you falseflagging faggot
>>97711409you should switch to fab, I think you'd fit right in

I sold all my riftbound stuff. Made back more than what I spent which is niceI enjoy the game and it has a lot of promise, but i can’t make my LGS weekly reliably enough. Also there seems to be a lot of uncertainty in the competitive community about the state of the game, which doesn’t surprise me considering the rules are held together by duck tape
>>97711961Oooh, nice! Those are in a starter deck? They certainly have my attention.
>>97710743yes i will be how committed are you
>>97711682Why, so you can belittle and abuse them and feel good about it because that's a game you have a hateboner for?
>>97712065>which doesn’t surprise me considering the rules are held together by duck tapecashgrabs like this usually are
Some of the stuff I picked up yesterday. Nothing too crazy. The packs of CFV were a total impulse buy at the register. Maybe they'll have kitties!
Rescue Cat in a foil pattern I didn't know existed was nice. Such a cute card.
And these came in the mail. One copy is for a friend.
>>97712482Are those the spongy dividers? I like those but they work almost too good sometimes and leave creases in my sleeves
>>97712528Good to know! I cracked one open, and the box just has one of the regular stiff dividers in it. Thanks for the tip, anon. I'll avoid those if I see them.
FIRSTFUCKING PACK I can't stop winning! Three cards in a pack, and there's a kitty! I didn't even know if there were any cats in this tiny set!
>>97712569The spongy ones are perfect for bulk storage and boardgame organizing but put them in a deckbox and they compress to hard and cause damage to sleeves. Otherwise gamegenic accessories are amazing.
>>97712591Thank you kindly! My friend and I just picked up a card-based boardgame of Firefly, so maybe those would work well for organizing all the cards.
>one shop had DM26-SD1 and DM26-RP1 preorders open for a handful of hours and I missed it>another shop has DM26-EX1 preorders and nothing elseHow bothersome. Hopefully the latter gets the first two too soon.
>>97712252nah, anon just seems like he has the right personality for it. he might make friends.

Battle Spirits shown the new anime. Too bad Saga is dead
>>97712735I wonder how easy it will be to find (reasonably priced) resellers for the SD1 decks.I want the Jenny deck and probably the Kakumeijin deck but I don't want to have to roll the pack gacha for them.
>>97714028>Pull the Fa Yuiry alt of Overflowing AffectionVery cool. My incoming AEUG deck will be very jealous. Why did Emma Sheen not get an alt art dammit

>>97715553Delightful ^_^
Just grabbed Sakura Arms 1st ed used to try it out, and I had a lot of fun! Thanks for the recommendation everyone!
>>97716367Just realized I must've completely misread how aura damage works lol
>>97715935Based. My Nami deck is safe.
>>97704918Trinity Draft is available for prepurchase in Japan. No word on an English release, not even rumors.Still hoping Zev spontaneously decides to localize it. Don't know who else would be a good fit.
>>977122102 to 3 games every evening?
>>97710265>>97716409I would help but I have severe blitz brain rot and I can't play CC games without getting tired or mad.
This finally got here. I'll post pulls later.
I've been considering picking up a booster box of Lorcana this weekend, should I get box of Whispers of the Well or Winterspell? I considered getting Fabled but at over $200 a box that's a bit too much.
>>97715935Good fucking riddance. I hated that card.
The main thing I can't fuckin stand about FaB is Arcane. It just happens and there's almost nothing you can do to stop it. Fucking bullshit mechanic. The next set combining Arcane and Lightning is going to make the game unplayable
>>97718019True. An Arcane Barrier: 1 effect should be on every hero by default.
>>97718019arcane damage is the only kind of damage in the game that doesn't require you to discard a card to block it
>>97717512I guess that depends on what you're looking for... Are you a new player? Both make for decent intros to the game, while Whispers has a darker, spooky theme, and Winterspell is a brighter winter/xmas sort of theme. Both feature characters with the 'Boost' ability that lets you load cards under other cards for some sort of beneficial effect. Were you planning to play a specific color or type of deck? Both sets are good, but it's hard to recommend one over the other without knowing what you want to get out of them.

>>97719620What are the options I'll decide for you
>>97716537Here (sorry one picture is blurry as fuck). Rather happy with my pulls, especially with the PW duellists (though I wish my second had been the black one).ibb co XZK36X13N6mdGm8xHDb6k4S3hx1xkW5R0jk2NzMR
>>97719620i bought these sleeves about a decade ago and i've still not even opened them.
>>97716537>incoherent visual vomit when will nippon learn?
>>97719304It's actually good. You're confusing boring with unplayable. Draven was also boring on release and barely considered until first chink tournament.Holding shouldn't be hard in a colour combo that has 5 counterspells, fight or flights, etc. There's also 2 more champs and a signature to be revealed.
Should I flip my sorcery rare dupes and foils to buy moar boxes
Senpai Notice me! How many copies of Feethsing do you play for the use of this card? Also do you still play wind stones in Crimson Girl deck?
>>97720005Even if you can hold you're still realistically only drawing at most 3 cards in a game. I'm not even gonna compare it to Draven because he's broken but Ezreal and Fiora being the other draw legends usually get far more than that.
>>97716409when i get back home in the next couple days, yes. I want to win a gold foil
how long should i hold onto my sealed first chapter lorcana box
>>97720775Ez gets like 5, sure, and fiora doesn't draw. But if you've built around hold, drawing 4-5 should be the norm. The legend is perfectly fine, what will make it or break it are the other champion units and the signature.
>>9772096310 years I guess? What is your purpose for holding onto it though? If you're just looking to resell it I would think you would do so only when you see online prices at something you want to cash out at?
>>97719528CAT
>>97721756CAT
>>97719879Nice.I should have taken pictures of my PW pulls but I was too lazy (https://archive.4plebs.org/tg/thread/97579977/#97588370)I see we both got that Prin silver treasure. Truly, /acg/ is blessed by best princess. Also good to see you also got duplicate very rares. Most boxes won't give you duplicate very rares so I was worried that something was wrong with mine.
>>97720963>>97721107Another Anon here, I think you might be able to get a decent profit from the Disney collector crowd, even if the game eventually dies and value amongst the players dries up. Just make sure to keep the packaging in good condition. No idea how the price will appreciate over time, though. You might need to hold on to them for a long time.
>>97721882Ohshit! Thank you, anon!
>decide to use real art to prototype TCG I'm working on>go on an adventure discovering all new kinds of artistsThe end goal is to use artists from 4chan as much as possible, but the community pushback against AI in general has prevented me from resorting to AI slop for even my prototypes and I'm thankful for it so far
>Browse ebay a little>Found out there is practically an endless amount of collectible cards>Booster packs aren't even expensiveReally tempted to just start collecting stuff like pic related for fun.
https://x.com/TRINITYDRAFT/status/2033773694984888488Asobi Days is doing international shipping now.
I hope you all embraced your lord and savior, Purple.
>>97723740why are they giving purple a bunch of ways to bounce your stuff but so reluctant to print actual "kill" cards
>>97723641Now if only their website wasn't dogshit to navigate if you don't know Japanese.By the way, looks like UNITE is a way to combine different sets together.
>>97723641Would be a shame if this happened right as Japan Post suspended all shipping to Europe because of the war and your only options now are the ones that rape you price-wise.
>>97723830kill cards seem to be mostly a yellow thing. Green is the only colour that doesn't really have a thematic way to remove units.
>>97723740Day by day I feel better about my decision to buy 3 purple seals right as set 1 dropped.
>>97723641Pretty epic. The fact that they're doing that at all makes me think an official English release may be possible.
>>97723842Unite is basically just the name of the "set" you make when you just put all the cards from both boxes together.
>>97723883>https://x.com/TRINITYDRAFT/status/2033773694984888488Same, again hoping the right team gets to it. I've heard other people complain about all the reminder text on the cards, here and elsewhere.
>>97723740Huh, they made purple the 'bounce' color in Lorcana, too. Wonder if that pattern continues in any other games, or if it's just a fun coincidence?
Das a lot of money
>>97723641>US coming soon
>>97717512 here, after checking the prices for some booster boxes I can extend the options to other Core format sets barring Fabled, I could even pick up a second booster box and some additional products if the prices are right. The only thing I'm worried about is the next rotation.>>97718669>I guess that depends on what you're looking for... Are you a new player?Pretty much, I have some cards but only from a couple of Troves and gift boxes.>Were you planning to play a specific color or type of deck? Both sets are good, but it's hard to recommend one over the other without knowing what you want to get out of them.I had a good look at the meta (I'm looking to play at local events rather than competing in big tournaments like I occasionally do for Pokémon) and here are my thoughts on the main Tier 1 decks and one Tier 2 archetype that caught my eye.>Amethyst/Sapphire EvasiveI'm used to Pokémon's Tier 1 decks costing around 40-60 bucks so seeing a single card from these decks (mostly Dumbo but Demona's getting up there) going for around that price kind of spooked me. That said I'm fine running a cheaper version of this deck archetype if one exists.>Amber/Emerald AggroOut of all of Pokémon's deck archetypes I'm a fan of aggro decks and this is one that sparked my interest since it's both cheap and consistent.>Amethyst/Steel ChallengersI peeked into this one and it kind of runs into the same problem that A/S Evasive does in terms of cost.>Emerald/Sapphire ControlAlongside Pokémon's aggro decks I'm also a big fan of their control decks and this archetype is interesting and the prices aren't too worrying either.
>>97724149I'm tempted to pick up the starters and a box just because I've played Cyberpunk for most of my life.I'd snap buy in if it had stuff based on 2020 but that was never going to happen.
>>97720522>FeethsingThat entirely depends on your list and color spread. You usually want all the colors your deck needs by turn 3. If you play mono green then by all means you can play any amount of green stones.>this cardThat stone is banned by the way
>>97724512>bannedNevermind, my mistake, it's not banned. I thought it was the original Six Sages stone, not the Pure Heart one.
>>97724149i would are more if it was shadowrun
>>97724149How? The gameplay looks like ass. I'm a fan of the IP too but this has to be just fomo.
>>97725217Looking at the rules quick it appears to basically be Lorcana with leaders and you can steal victory points from your opponent.Which while a bit uninspired doesn't sound completely terrible. I can see why that mixed with a hot IP has people interested.
>>97724149Nothing more cyberpunk than embezzlement.
>>97724149>print to demandPass
jannies can't hurt you right now, post good card art
>>97725217>>97725424>>97724149I know cyberpunk sold well but how does any game like this have longevity?Like Disney and One Piece have a huge library of characters and made up scenarios but there's only so much shit in Cyberpunk 2077 right?
>>97727255Cyberpunk goes back to the late 80s so they should have a healthy amount of stuff to pull from.
>>97727255Cyberpunk is originally a TTRPG (we're on /tg/, you should know this). There's way more lore and characters to pull from than just the video game. If the card game lasts any amount of time, that's where they'll probably pull further inspiration from.
>>97724149That's an average of $900 per person
>>97724263Well, I'm not super familiar with modern Pokémon (I played briefly when it first came out in high school, but 2 people in my friend group decided to extend their collection by constantly shoplifting cards from 7-11, and since the rest of the group didn't have as much money to spend, the power gap widened very quickly until we all lost interest), so I can't really compare the two for you, and I find myself avoiding the meta decks in most cases, but I did do a bit of research on the meta decks you mentioned. I can see what you mean about the cost of these decks, and for both the evasive and challenger decks, they seem to share Demona as the common expense. If you're serious about trying out either of these decks, you might want to invest in some Whisper in the Well boxes and hope to get lucky (I ended up with 3 WitW boxes, and didn't pull a single Demona), but I think that's pretty risky, because I can't think of what you'd replace Demona with, so not having at least 2 of her is probably going to heavily impact how that deck works. The Amber/Emerald aggro deck on the other hand, I've heard that many of the Lady and the Tramp cards that power it are going to be cycled out soon, and I think you said you wanted to avoid that.
>>977272982/2Finally, the Emerald/Sapphire control deck seems the most achievable, as the most expensive card in there is Cinderella, and honestly, I don't understand why she's there. Her power is useful, but it requires Princesses to trigger it, and she's the only Princess in most of those decks. I think you could replace her and still do well. The only big expense after that is Clarabelle, so this one seems much more accessible.Anyhow, either way, it's good to hear from another Lorcana player, and I wish you the best of luck trying to get one if your decks built. However, I'm a firm believer in paving your own way, so I encourage you to try to brew your own deck... there's a lot of fun cards/strategies in this game that don't make the meta lists.
>>97727273>we're on /tg/, you should know thisNot that anon, but not everyone on /tg/ indulges in every type of game on here. If a person cones here just for TCGs, there really no reason that they should know/care about TTRPGs.
>>97724149>>97727297>>97727255it's a lot of money and not that many people. so probably mostly spec investment and flippers. jus the world we live in today. prebuys for a TCG are gonna be mostly portfolio, rudy types, and amazon resellers. the players dont come til later (if they come).
How's (You)r game coming along lads? It's not just mathslop is it? You did remember to include soul, r-right?
https://x.com/yu_barilemon/status/2034046312325448119Saw this in my feed, maybe the guy who was looking for a tcg app will enjoy
>>97727899>mathslopChrist, netdeckers are retarded. Did you think Channel Fireball was an inventive combo? Is that why you whine about Blockers in Gundam months after everyone stopped caring or why you flail and wheeze when they fail to produce an Arrow in Red that Works Just For You in FAB?
>>97727271>>97727273>>97727856I know Cyberpunk is ancient RPG but are we going to use all that? isn't the card game only 2077 shit? Also yeah, not many backers for the money, on average backers are going for 900 dollars which is crazy.
>>97728424It's not a closed IP like Disney stuff; they don't have to limit themselves to existing 2077 canon. they've got the whole genre to choose from.
>>97728445>closed IP like Disney stuffNot that anon, but Lorcana might not be the best example of closed IP... they not only have original characters and storyline in it, but they do have reign to alter character designs in many ways that aren't tied to story canon. A better example might be one of the anime games that sticks mostly to screenshots for their art.
>>97728493I was thinking more like marvel or star wars where they're on a super tight leash
>>97728579Ah, ok. After all these years, I still have trouble thinking of them as 'Disney', so my mind went right to Mickey and Princess movies and shit.
>>97727856>>97728424Never trust Kickstarter numbers on a campaign before it's finished. Kickstarter doesn't actually have a way to force you to pay what you say you will pay. A lot of people will put in a huge number and then disappear when the time comes.
I'm assuming they had investors via the brand name?
>>97726971I like a lot of the alts this set. The le blanc one is the worst imho, normal art looks better.

>>97732137Yes it’s sick, way more depth with the grid board than magic or any similar game. Devs aren’t psycho greed trannies and just want to make a slow release game with kino art. Stock up now while you can, going to be huge. Crazy that people are still buying all sorts of other slop.
>>97732670It's a form of an actual psychological phenomenon called Tetris Effect. I get something similar when I am doing too much programming (or anything particularly repetitive).
>>97732137Sorcery is doing fine. it's a little hard to judge health because it only makes a set once a year and it is played mainly in casual settings. TC just did an overview video on it yesterday that's pretty comprehensive:>https://youtu.be/Ss-PtdOBHcQthe big selling points are (a) the art is excellent, (b) crunch + fluff marriage. rules are intricate with a focus on getting vibes right. weaknesses are mainly around the rules not being very tight, for the same reasons. it's aimed more at the narrative than the competitive (which it does well). in that video one of them compares it to "miniature wargames from the 90s" and the Middle Earth CCG, and that comparison is dead on.>>97732821nah, a game like that is never gonna be all things to all people. it's got a laser crosshair on its target audience (which I assume you're in). but its most obvious competition like Summoner Wars and Gudnak have similar depth of gameplay. SW aims toward the lighter/faster side. Gudnak is the sweaty one with ultra tight rules where games are short and any real misplay leads to a crushing game loss.
>>97723641>>97724239With how expensive the only option they offer is it's probably going to be more convenient to use a proxy or forwarder anyway, especially one that lets you undervalue. Refer to the guide at your leisure: buyfags.moe
i apologize if you get post like this a lot but I was interested in trying one piece after recently catching up to the manga. I understand the mechanics because I did play a bit of the gundam tcg.i just was wondering if any of the starter decks would be a good place to start or solid decks I could build for cheap.my favorite one piece character is whitebeard if that helps at all.
New fab player. Literally just purchased two starter decks and plan on playing with my gf tonight. Just wondering if this game has lore or a story? Or is the art and stuff just for looks?
>>97734514Yes, the starters are actually very good in OPTCG. Right now the Whitebeard leader is pretty bad, but there's a very strong Ace deck still in the top10 of the current meta, which uses pretty much exclusively Whitebeard Pirates themed cards. That deck is moderately expensive though. Like 100 Euros to make viable. If you want a solid starter experience, I recommend getting the ST-29 Yellow Luffy deck and get two of that starter right away. It's a pretty strong deck for the price of two starter decks and there are plenty of upgrade potantials with it.I also recommend getting the simulator. You can try every deck in that and play against other people too.>>97734535Yes, there's a bit of original lore for the game in the form of short story articles on the FaB main website. There's lore for every single hero and expansion.

Duel Masters simulator update (bad news):Because of certain decisions I made early in engine development, I need to do a massive refactor of almost everything (basically restart from the start while copy-pasting my actually good code). The tl;dr of how I fucked up is not designing the game engine itself with online play in mind from the start. I figured I could handle all the important online stuff (game-state synchronization, hidden information handling, player input verification, etc.) just in the server implementation. Turns out that you really want to build that into the engine itself. I have bolted on systems that handle all that stuff now, and they "work", but I'm starting to see the cracks and I know they won't be sustainable long-term. I might as well bite the bullet now. Before I disappear back into the code mines for another few months, I might as well show a little bit of what I had. I promised videos a while back so I'll give at least this.I had up to the charge step fully implemented and working (ignore the first turn draw and the turn not switching to the other player). It was when I thought about doing multi-step input stuff like paying for and playing cards during the main step or attacking with creatures and selecting targets in the attack step that I realized my entire system of verifying inputs with the server was unwieldy as fuck and will crumble once I get to actually complicated stuff in card effects.I'm still committed to the first public release being late this year. There just might not be as many cards initially as I'd hoped.
>>97745069coding the engine only to realize it doesn't support online play so you disassemble it and reassemble it again but differently this time is a classic in game dev, don't get disheartened.
>>97745496Yeah I'm not particularly disheartened. I figured I'd need to do something like this sooner or later. Definitely better sooner. It's not necessarily that it didn't support online play, but more that I built it with the features that I assumed it would need, but it wasn't until I got really into the server and client code that I realized it needed other features that I hadn't considered. A classic case of "you don't know what you don't know".
>>97745069as someone making a card game, I can sympathize. Had to refactor my shit several times already. Can't wait to get to the point where I have to implement AI and realize I have to redo everything.Wish I had someone to discuss code architecture with beforehand lol.
>>97745069>>97745596> It was when I thought about doing multi-step input stuff like paying for and playing cards during the main step or attacking with creatures and selecting targets in the attack step that I realized my entire system of verifying inputs with the server was unwieldy as fuck and will crumble once I get to actually complicated stuff in card effects.seems kind of obvious from the outside that should have been the actual problem you needed to tackle first and foremost, you real vertical slice ...yet I can only empathize because I've done the exact same sort of shit that's painfully obvious only after the fact. It's not like you're stupid and pretended like it won't require effort, it's just not into you see it clunking in motion you go 'hmmmm maybe this is dumb'
>>97739941You don't understand, he was a 200+ hours specialist for his character. He didn't KNOW he was cheating. Also he would've appealed it if they actually accused him.
>>97746004>seems kind of obvious from the outside that should have been the actual problem you needed to tackle first and foremostYeah it does. Instead what I tackled first and foremost was stuff that is very Duel Masters rules specific, like how game "objects" are handled, because cards can combine and stack in all sorts of weird ways that have weird rules interactions. I figured if I build my engine around what I saw as the "hard" stuff, all the "easy" stuff will be easy to add later. That usually worked, but not all the time.I plan on taking the opposite approach this time. I'll focus on getting rock solid fundamentals for what a card game is, and build complexity from there. Maybe I can get it generic enough that the engine could be used for other card games (definitely not scope creeping right now).
>>97744843I just won the Papa John's Invitational last night 5-0 with the Jinx deck, I got 2 large 2 topping pizzas for winning

>>97750082I think it comes down to what kind of Ranger you want to build. For my deck here, I have a few lynch pin cards. Playing as Peerless Pathfinder, I took a lot of add progress to beings and like Walk With Me. Then I took cards that interact with Traversal like Orlin Hiking Stave and Trail Markers. The big play is stack progress up on a being, like say the Dog, and then I give it a trail marker and play Homeward Bound. That then converts all of my progress on my friend into double progress on any location or feature. This has some further interplay with other cards in my deck, but that combo set up has me tearing down barriers and finishing quests in lightning speed. >>97750678If they cant jack off to the art, it upsets them
>>97750573I'm going to show you the cards I would build out of that combination, but this is by no means a "this is the only way to play those two choices" list. I would say Voice of the Elders has more synergy but you could still play Guardian if you prefer not to have to deal with scary beings. You special interest can be any other card you like, but I chose Trail mix because there's obvious synergies with having 3 fitness. The tea is really good but I gave you the weakness stat of Focus considering most other heavy hitting cards are in yellow and green. When it comes to choosing personality cards I would make a tally of each of the symbols you have in your deck. So each compass, heart, etc; once you have totals stacked up look at what you have a need for and choose personality cards to fill your weakspots out. Hope this helps and enjoy the game.

Thanks for reminding me, there's a new expansion that releases this month. I am a big fan of these small box expansions because it's going to expand the map one biome at a time and bring with it a central campaign involving those cards. Content can be enjoyed before, during and after the main quest lines and they usually offer an advanced challenge over the base game; perfect for those looking to increase the stakes while playing the game. I love this one though, cold mountain regions are peak comfy.
>>97752227Which means soon we'll be getting the best one of the upcoming valley expansions; the vore dungeon. This is the kinda sci fi adventure I've been waiting for, exploring the innards of a bio-construct designed to terraform the earth. The Maw creeps every so slowly across the landscape, so the timescale that it would take for it to circle the continent and bring with it many changes is simply stunning. Absolutely can't wait, but I have two Valley Exps to explore while I do.

>>97752922Sure, but he's no harm to me HERE. I wouldn't trust ANYONE who posts here in real life.
>>97752779Thank you kindly ^_^
>>97752943The Spire in Bloom takes the magnifying glass to the most important part of the settlements in the Valley called The Spire. It features the hustle and bustle of life in the city as well as the challenges they face to maintain its safety. It does have a brand new weather type too which I'm spacing on, but it is a nice step up in challenge from the normal fare. I think some of the missions involve the creatures of the Valley giving birth to the next generation, so it has cute animal overload as well to look forward to.The next and upcoming one I'm honestly a bit more excited for, that's The Shadow of the Storm. It expands the map northward and adds new biomes to explore as well as a grave new threat of inclement weather happening out of season and without warning. The fact that a stag spirit is featured on the cover makes me wonder if it has some part to play into that story line. Of course the source of the weather could be from ancestral artifacts that are going haywire, as per the usual in this setting. While I have Bloom I haven't played with its content much myself yet to attest to its fun factor, but straight away I'm more drawn to what's going on in The Storm. It is on TeamCov's website right now, shipping tomorrow in fact, so that might be one to pick up. Then I'll mention that once you've completed your campaign, there's a huge expansion in the way of Legacy of the Ancestors, and it explores the underground caverns as that connect to the subterranean archology. This offers a wide array of places to spelunk and get stuck in, as well as some fun darkness mechanics to make things extra risky. I quite like the presentation of this expansion and the campaign book looks to rival the core game's in story and content. This should be the start of a new journey or the reward for reaching the end of your current run. I have treated it as so and it makes the discovery of this scary place all the more titillating.
>>97753579>>97752943My issue is the price tag. Why the fuck are they 45 dollars for 1 deck of cards?

>>97754086Oh got it. I built the deck because she's the hottest in my opinion but I'm liking how she plays more than Tristan so far. Granted my Tristan deck is just the Recollection deck straight out of the box but I heard the Recollection decks are decent.
>>97754112Better than starter decks at least (except for maybe diao Chan lol lmao) I think Silvie and Tristan have the best recollections but Tristan’s does take a lot of fixing and is expensive to do so, but it’s my main deck since I played her jank ass back in fractured crown. Keep an eye out for the mordred recollection since it seems like a simple deck but includes some rad cards like dungeon guides and frostsworn paladins if you don’t have them yet
Taking a look at Sorcery since a friend mentioned it to me and I ordered the four pack of Gothic precons and I wanted to see if I understand this correctly:I play Peculiar Port, if I have two or more Water Affinity it's Genesis triggers and I have the option to cast Horrible Hybrids from my sideboard but I still have to pay the 3 mana it requires to cast. If I don't or can't cast it at this point in time I have missed the Genesis window from playing Peculiar Port which means I can't cast Hybrids from my side deck.

Did that actually happen? Did he really rape somebody IRL?
>>97754680My gripe with it these days is that every time I want to get into a deck after getting decent support in a new expansion or just being new, the entire community also gets into that deck and that deck will get LL'd in a few months. Why should I invest a FUCKTON of money into that overpriced game, if the product won't be playable for at least a few years after buying it?
Why is anarch literally always cancer? Even the people who should know better can't resist printing easy ice destruction in a game where ice is weaker than it's ever been.
>>97754680>retard A cries for years about supplemental sets and the made for limited retardation>retard B can't shut up about limited, despite LSS' dumb 1 and done print runs choking stock to zero worldwide and the current set being supplemental and not draftableTwo princesses made for each other. I haven't even seen a High Seas box since release
>>97754706>>97753755>>97750797>>97750826I'm supposed to believe you retards who can spend 100s of dollars on Z/X and WiXoss cant afford a 40$ deck now? Whats the next retarded lie we're all supposed to believe, that kids are priced out of pokemon at 50$ a deck?
>>97754706That's because James cultivated a turbo competitor atmosphere where only the strong are revered. Players wouldn't be caught dead with a pet deck these days, completely unlike the first half of the game's life, so they rock what's busted, usually a new hero or one with tons of new support for a fringe one. I hate this cycle of bandwagoning so fucking much myself because it took my favorite pet hero away from me prematurely. Now they will take for fucking ever to give me an alternative hero to pivot into while they continue to jack off split damage, board state and talented heroes over the table.>>97755997What the fuck is that logic you're applying to these discussions? You know nothing of FAB or how utterly horrible it is for people that adopted the game before the terrible business practices and shameless ignorance crept in and ruined the experience for everyone that isn't a hyper spike.
>>97755997Goomba fallacy.
>>97755968>despite LSS' dumb 1 and done print runs choking stock to zero worldwide and the current set being supplemental and not draftablethey design almost exclusively for the limited experience, that's why I'm on about it often. The game is fun to play, the rules are enjoyable and there's much room for expression, but the dev team has their head screwed so firmly up their asses that it could hold a bulkhead in place diving into the Mariana's trench. Then there's the boneheaded decision to make print runs hyper scarce to feed the fomo-matic nine thousand and screw over the only formats that aren't on fire these days.
>>97755997>FaB>$40 decks anywhere near the top 10 of heroeslollmao>>97756033Yeah, the LL system is backfiring if everybody in the playerbase is a bandwagoning tryhard sweatlord.
>thread anon in charge of keeping up with eventspicrel>>97750789>$40 decks anywhere near the top 10 of heroes>#1 - $40Not even worth talking to you guys
>>97756079Thanks anon it's really funny that specific fallacy never came up until the internet. Maybe it's because we're on an anonymous image board and you mongoloids can't help but post for each other.>>97756033>True ScotsmanIf you were a true FUCKFABBIE like me you would have judge mats, PQs under your belt, and a marvel or two of your favorite hero. I posted my iyslander last thread can you even come close? not even 1 gold foil for all that hard work you put in? LMAO
>>97756125Bravo, James. You murdered your early adopters to foster an army of compfags that only enjoy playing when it's a complete onesided stompfest.
>>97756139>you mongoloids can't help but post for each other.like you just did?
>>97756149>bryan m8 he's FORCING me to post again!

FaB players and FaB haters having sloppy makeout and leaving the thread in peace.
>>97756190lifetime ban because he hurt Jame's booty call.
>>97756211I think LSS was sick of her because they cut her out of the cosplay contest shit lolI dont blame them her personality on twitter is so grating i cant imagine what dealing with her and the others like her in real life is like
FLAKE MENTIONEDObligatory reminder of his antics https://youtu.be/MI5qVd-1-mE>>97756187>In-n-outHE TRIED TO WARN US!
>>97756125Nigger, I wasn't talking about Sage at that point. That $40 reply was clearly aimed at CC.Are you retarded or are you just an employee at LSS?
>>97756271Forget about it, it's /acg/. Reminder that the people throwing shade have never sat in the drivers seat in their life.
>>97751188Depends heavily on if you have locals in your area. Thriving area or dead area.>>97753809She's not unplayable anymore since she got her proxy card that generates an icebound slam without having to use a materialization phase. Topped some regionals. Also, PTM pulls. Got the kot.
>want to play card game>think about playing /learning it >get ladder anxiety type feel>end up not playing sigh
>>97756623That sounds like a skill issue. Games are meant for people hanging out and having fun.Tryhardery is a mental illness.
>>97727899>mathslopMy game has purposefully excluded numbers specifically to avoid the generic combat system everybody else uses. Instead I’m using a rock-paper-scissors weapon class system a la fire emblem to determine the winner of fights. I find it quite soulful I’m also using the generic terms for game zones. Hand, in play, discard pile, etc. Inventing new terms for these is cringe
>>97727899>How's (You)r game coming along lads?I finished the first draft of set 9 recently.>It's not just mathslop is it?I don't know what that is.>You did remember to include soul, r-right?Oh, you're just being retarded.
>>97714028Based. I was super happy when I got both the alt art Cagalli and Strike Rouge in my GD01 box. The Fa is also super cute.
Cute! Cute!
>>97759582YordleSex
>>97754552Yea that's how I would play it, if it said summon them you wouldn't have to pay
>>97759582I like this game but origins cards are still fucking expensive and Chang hasn't cracked the code for fakes yet. Also the rules and subsequent rulings are fucking amateur hour. But the game itself is really fun.
>>97760078supposedly they're doing a reprint next month, so prices might go down. Surprised chink copies aren't real yet, given the abysmal quality of chink card. They pre-pringle while inside the boosters. Even the non foiled ones.
I just found out that pbandai had a bunch of raffles for a chance to purchase a bunch of different one piece stuff and I fucking missed the sign up period… I want to rope
>>97760770>I want to ropeWhy, to escape the nightmare cave that bandai has trapped you in? Try digging.
>>97754701>Did that actually happen? No.>Did he really rape somebody IRL?I would never.
>>97759582Cute af
>>97734723Thank you for your response anon! Hopefully our still around. Is there anywhere I can see that Ace deck you mentioned? Also are there any decks that feature shanks prominently that can hold their own? I’m not looking for something super top tier or anything just something where it’s not unfun to get my ass blasted if it’s terrible
Can someone explain to me where one piece tcg's depth/replay value comes from?Barely felt like any of my decisions mattered and was just chugging at opponents life total or removing biggest character.
Is Riftbound speedrunning straight to being a commander only game?
>>97762159>Is there anywhere I can see that Ace deck you mentioned?OPTCG decks are limited to the most viable cards in every deck and there is very little wiggleroom in them. Just google any deck and you'll find pretty much the perfect versions of those decks everywhere.>ShanksNah, Shanks kinda sucks right now. You should still get the red Shanks starter though, because it has a very strong card for the OP13 Ace deck.
>>97762159https://onepiecetopdecks.com/deck-list/This is a good page for checking decklist. You have separate categories for JP and worldwide metas (right now in the west we're in the EB03 meta), then go into them and search for a specific leader to check the decklists people are using.EB03 Ace has a lot of options.>ShanksNot really, the Red Shanks leader was good a couple metas ago but he's not really viable right now.
>>97762435as in, the fun side project that outperformed the companies main game?
>>97762782as in neglecting 1v1 and competitive play asap and focus on being casual DnD larp bs but with cards instead.
>>97762830does anyone play riftbound in non 1v1?
>>97762860Me and 3 other guys usually do 1 free for all every week before locals. It's alright. Would probably be more fun if we had decks specifically for it instead of just playing our standard decks.
>>97762710Thank you very much.i priced it out on tcg player and seems it will be around $150 which doesn’t seem awful.I see there’s a pudding in the deck but I think I saw someone saying she’s banned now is that true? Also if I buy these cards how long until they rotate out (if they do at all?)
>>97764272Pudding's ban will start applying from next week, yes.First rotation is next week, where almost all cards from block 1 (the number in the bottom right of the card) will not be playable. Most of the Ace deck is block 3+, which will rotate in 2028.
>>97764367To add just a bit more there is going to be an eternal format going forward, they have showed some support in terms of prizing but it's a bit too early to say if it's going to successfully take off.
>>9776232810 one piece posts yet no one wants to explain their game to me.
