>>97710688Is this game good? I played with the really early starter decks recently (the adventure ones with the tamers on the box) and it felt quite sluggish but the power system was really fun. Then I played some much later decks and... Every card had like 3 effects and wierd summoning fusion requirements and a lot of other stuff. Basically every turn took forever because we were trying to read and understand the abilities and when they trigger. Game felt a bit too leniet with the ordering etc.Then I played some Yu-Gi-Oh speed duel and the game just goes so smoothly and things work.tmThen I played a bit of the new Pokemon decks and the pacing was really nice and easy to understand with clear abilities.I'm geniunely not a hater or anything my girlfriend loves digimon and collects the game but its really a pain to play am I missing something?

And yugioh doesn't run fucking smooth at all it runs like a nuclear missile with all destructive power but no breaks. >t played yugioh for 10 yearsDigimon can feel a bit bricky sometimes depending on the quality of decks. However the meta in this game is in most part very balanced and the pacing of the game is very back and forth. Digimon never have more than 3 effects on a card. Once you learn the actual mechanics i would say its fluid. Overall its much easier to pick up than something like yugioh and magic and harder than pokemon and one piece

Theres no resource and no main phase 2 to manage so you know>Do everything that isnt attacking now>Attack >Turn is overThe cards also tend to be from earlier on so you are doing things like>Play Legendary Ocean >Summon a big fish>Attack with big fish>Oh they used a trap to raise their monsters attack >Activate tornado wall in response so I take no damage from thisTurn is over. It's pretty smooth. The game is strange because the effects are written long but they are written in a way that makes unique abilities that play out as written. It doesnt contain very complicated cards like modern yugioh
