>>97762765In my experience it's only like 50% of the time for non-disrupted bodies.
>>97770213How big a sample size are we talking regarding your experience with dead bodies?
>>977702366Two were disrupted so four non-disrupted.All train related suicides.
>>97770188>what it’s like to die in dark souls
>>97770248what does "disrupted" mean in this context
>>97758407It’s ok uwu *chu*
>>97745193Did we ever get the recipe?
>>97753021:0
>>97776209I think if you imagine what happens when a train hits a person you'll figure out how exactly it "disrupts" the natural bodily functions. The man cleans corpses for a living, don't make him spell it out for you.
>>97779501What's more puzzling is how does once commit trail-related sucide while keeping the body undisrupted. Hanging yourself in a coupe? Overdosing at the toilet?
>>97780232They jump off the top of the train while it's not moving and break their neck.
>>97780248That sounds needlessly complicated, why not a bidge? Or balcony/roof of some publicly accessible building?
>>97780344They felt like killing themselves while on a stopped train and decided they didn't feel like walking somewhere or waiting for the train to unload all the cargo and get to moving again.
>>97780370Are you sure the intent was to kill themselves? Maybe they just wanted to get a view from the top but tripped and fell.
>>97780232Imagine a melon exploding
>>97780232Thanks to easily accessible snuff I know the answer to this! Sometimes people just bounce off like in a video game. The body is very springy. Not every death is laying on the tracks, a huge amount is just being shoulder checked by the train which obliterates all your internal organs but leaves the outside mostly unharmed.
>>97783052didn't liveleaks shut down years ago?
>>97753021:o
>>97776209I once had a body that was spread over a mile and a half.>>97779501Was a transit cop, luckily I'm now a government employee in another country.>>97780232So most suicides (and train involved deaths in general) occur at depots and stations. At the speeds that trains are traveling in these areas they're not going fast enough to disrupt the bodies. As >>97783052 says the organs all get fucked up but the body stays relatively intact.>>97780344So I'm not an expert on suicidal ideation but the survivors I've talked to and the people we managed to arrest (136ed) or were stopped by bystanders before they committed the act usually reference that they had a sudden urge to end it or the belief that it would be quick and easy. It is not quick and easy, there's a good chance you'll be alive and in pain (especially for light rail or metro trains) until they lift the train off you (at which point a significant number of people die of neurogenic or cardiogenic shock). Please do not commit suicide, in particular do not do it near the railway, it is really really not a nice way to go and sometimes a transit officer will have to fight a fox for your head. Also related to bridges I had a colleague who was chasing a guy (drug dealer I think) dude jumped off a bridge 20ft onto the rails, took 2d6 bludgeoning to his legs and spine. He only survived because he missed the third (electric) rail and was less than a mile from a major trauma centre.
