For me it's GURPS. The thinking man's TTRPG.
It's the pseudo-intellectual's game. Maybe you'll actually start thinking one day and realize that they are games and go play one that's fun.

GURPS is really fun but it feels pretty slow sometimes. It's very hard to get players to actually move fast enough for this game to feel exciting. If you have decisive players something like a sword fight feels fantastic, but if you have the kind of person who hems and haws and spends time on their turn looking through their vast array of combat options in a game using Martial Arts it can be a bit of a drag.It gets way worse if the GM has a big ass battle.

This is a very granular time scale, it's supposed to work on impulse. Consider taking a page from the old school and focus on them describing intent instead of rules, and it's your job to translate that into actions.
