"Okay, I have a game of DnD to DM for you guys. But don't bother with the character creation part of the rulebook. Here's the races you can play as, including the traits you can get for them. Here's the classes, but again, don't bother with the rulebook, I have these printouts for class progression. If you pick a magic-using class, here's some sheets for the spells you're eligible for--just hold on to those, a lot of spells are going to be different from the rulebook. What? No, we're just playing DnD, I just made some small changes for the setting."
Who are you quoting?
>d&d with less creative freedomI didnt know that was possible
>>97768367It's a ttrpg based on a comic book.
>>97768331>DnDogshitThanks for inviting me, but I'd rather be doing anything else.
>>97768367Kieron Gillen apparently
>>97768331>"game of DnD">D&D>gamelollmao
>>97768331>" I just made some small changes for the setting."Why do you object to your DM doing this for free, but will happily buy up a similarly changed umpteenth edition that the publisher dropped just to squeeze more cash from you? Don't you like people being creative just for the fun and love of the hobby? Fuckers like you are a plague.
>>97768390A very shitty and retarded comic book, at that.
>>97768331so your DM used pregens and youre crying to us?
>>97771464newfag
>>97768331>and then the GM pulled a gun from under the table so none of us could leave the game. Hold me /tg/.
>>97769881This any soulful DM is going to alter the games to his own vision
>>97770417It has some neat bits.I could rip the cleric part of Godbinders wholesale, it sounds much better than the usual divine-labeled caster who usually forgets what their god is like.Not-paladins being aligned to a particular emotion which gives them power but pushes them gradually into obsessing over it are neat too.The rest is mostly meh.
>>97768331oh, thank you for your hard work gm, but don't bother. i've actually taken some time to write my own class, race and spells i want to play with, i'll just go with that instead
>>97770417I actually quite like the concept, but the problem is that they ignored the interesting part to talk about gender shit instead
You're playing the person playing the character, so skill lists is a secondary aspect. It's not made to be used as a stand alone universal system.
>>97785792Yeah, I found the discussion of Wargaming and the fantasy genre interesting, but I really didn't like any of the characters
