Whats the biggest thing they could likely kill?
>TQ:An equally small, yet charming Chaos critter.
>>97785519Anons who have the 4th ed battletomes for the other three gods. Do they also got a page like this where they talk about different identities and manifestations of the gods?
>>97785551Look at him go!
>>97785519>whats the smallest miniature that you likeIt's cheating, but it's the smallest model I like that I could think of.
>asking GW store manager about the limited nature of the upcoming Spearhead combo box>can only base his opinion on the Kill Team combo boxes and thinks everything will be sold separate laterI suppose it’s not nothing. Hopefully there’s not too massive of a delay like the like the Deathrattle Spearhead almost being a whole year between announcement and release. Surely 11th edition box sets aren’t taking up all the room in James’s factories….
Is it feasible to run a list based mainly with those darkoath barbarians and wilderfiends?
>>97785638Yeah. It even has an army of renown that lets you spam it to your hearts content. But they’re kinda weak in the game.
Questions about the Votann.>1. Why are they even considered Xenos at all, even by the rules, when they're just abhumans?>2. Why don't their technological innovations sometimes summon daemons or whatever, the way the Adeptus Mechanicus has to avoid?>3. Do they also have navigators like the Imperium? If not, how do they navigate the Warp?>4. How many of them are there supposed to be? Are they supposed to be like a Tau-sized faction, if they were united?>5. Does the Imperium officially consider them to be part of it, even if they are functionally independent?>6. They're all clones, right? So they don't reproduce normally at all?
>>97785660Wrong thread, dweeb.
>>97785660You got tricked-linked, 40k bro
>>97785634Ask him about The Last World
>>97785641Thanks. I just liked the idea of the skirmishing light cavalry. What are the main pillars of a slaves to darkness list? Reinforced blocks of chosen I bet, but what else?
>>97785593Meta-wise it's probably because Fantasy dorfs have innate magic resistance and they wanted to keep that in some way. Lore-wise aren't they all uploaded to the cloud or whatnot? I imagine that would have something to do with it
>>97785519Skaven in 40k yes yes
>>97785665I was linked to this thread so it is the correct thread, perhaps you are wrong.
>>97785679Begone Abominable Intelligence
>>97785519Soon
I can't get over how the defiler looks peanut shaped from the front, at least it's better than the old defiler
>>97785677>anon linked /aosg/ in /40kg/ againFucking hell, can't get good help these days
Hey is this the 40k thread? Lots of warhammer fantasy stuff though.
Will the new freeguild grenadier unit have such a layout that all of them have access to the same weapons? Ie, will a unit of five have five flamethrowers in it?
>>97785726most definitely not, a single unit will probably only have one person with the flamethrower, similarly to how in a unit of 3 rat ogors only 1 of them can have the warpfire throwerif the unit can be reinforced then you'd probably be able to have 2 in a unit though
Where do you get 3D print file things of WH models?
If I wanted to start a small krieg army, did I fuck up by not getting the Christmas box when it was more available?
I suddenly opted for light cold pink for the dress trim instead of yellow. Should I go with brown hair or blonde for the hair? If blonde then what should the shade color be? >>97785793I mean yeah it would have been better to get them when they were MSRP or cheaper but at least you have a combat patrol. Also wrong general thread my friend
>>97785813
>>97785813Wait what the fuck you’re right lmao, I’m sorry! The dress looks great btw
>>97785813Does she have a laurel wreath or are those her hair?If wrath go with brown, if no then white-ish blond
Do you play with movement trays?
>>97785867No, but i saw people do that
>>97785867I just play with regular trays.Like, for hours d'oeuvres and shit?
>>97785567Slaanesh 4e tome doens't exist yet
>>97785713This is from the humble "WARHAMMER AGE OF SIGMAR".The one from War is Hammer 42k is this one:>>97785695
I sure am excited for the new edition. Return to armageddon is a great part of my childhood.
>>97785939I kinda wish they'd remember that other places exist, but marines vs orks is the quintessential setting experience.Loving the eshin refresh anyway, I was fearing much worse.
>>97785836She does have a laurel wreath and a little piece of metal grabbing the back of her head. I think only the very top of her head and the braid are exposed hair.I think gold will be the primary metal color
>>97785966>Loving the eshin refreshThat's monkey-phobic
>>97785813>>97785818Man this is looking great so far anon well done
>>97785988I never said I didn't like the old ones
>>97785519Whats going on with plastic and cloth these days. It really doesnt look like cloth, i don't even know what its supposed to convey.
>>97786013Edge highlights where they don't belong
Predictions on the warscrolls of the new inner cities of sigmar models?
>>97786013I assume it's because it's too thick, in an effort to reduce miniature damage
>>97786013It's the jaggy lines on the longer scraps, it doesn't read as billowing cloth, it looks like a bent rebar.
Most of the discussion has been surrounding the cos stuff so far but what do you guys thinks about the new eshin now that things have settled down a bit?I like em, was surprised to see that it was a multibuild kit since the leak made them sound so different but they ended up looking quite similar yeah. Seems like a very well executed faithful refresh.
>>97786070
>>97785567Nurgle gets a bunch of scribbled notes about his diseases instead.
>>97786076They’re fine. I’m curious if rat ogre ninjas can be a thing.
when next GHB?
>>97786101Soon? I’m guessing the dev team are going to replicate soggy rules and try and do those narration things to go alongside it.
>>97786083They were in mordheim, I want to hope, but so were eshin sorcerers. I can always kitbash/convert the plastic ones I guess.
I'm mildly retarded. Are these models the same?
>>97786117No. Left was ComiCon 2021 exclusive and the right is a Christmas comemorative releas as you can tell by the red box
>>97786117yes
>>97786070They're fine. Skaven refreshes are usually quite faithful, but that makes them extreamly unexciting. Like they're all remasters rather than remakes
>>97786130> extreamly unexcitingI don't remember eshin having high fantasy tech
>>97786117No, the ones on the left are CITADEL miniatures, whereas the right are just normal miniatures.
>>97786136One guy has a Dishonored mask, that's not exactly tech
>>97786151I loved playing Citadel back in the day. GW should bring it back
>>97786157He means the guy with the dead horse mask and the venom harness linked to his weapons. And the guy with grenades maybe.
>>97785966Lowkey thinking about getting that box and using it for Mordheim as well as trying AOS out.
>>97786279You have 20 rats inside and both are dual kits so you can have just enough for heroes and troops. The only problem is you don't have pistols, may have to bash something for the sorcerer and no rat ogre. And maybe most importantly, we don't know how many slings are included.
>>97786291Looks like a couple but in friendly games that's ok with meNever considered AOS before but had a feeling Cities would come out in some kind of starterNow thinking about Lumineth and Chorfs lol
>>97786291poisonclaw could pass for wielding pistols
>>97784000can someone ask the retard if he thought not!cathay was coming simply because he saw iconography like these on a map?
>>97786321>Subfaction city for Gallants with a hero + unit >Subfaction for Settler's Gain with some LRL influenced stuff like Erasmus
>>97786070It has my excited for Pestilens
>>97786316That's actually pretty cool, we also have claws in the kit anyway so you can maybe come up with some sort of conversion to have a weapon like that.
>>97786321>>97784000>is it safe to buy the models? What do they think is going to happen? They are not going to spontaneously combust, no one is going to take them away from your home, no one will give a shit if you use them to play whatever else.
>>97786364What armies and games do you play?
>>97786117Anon you can literally see the same models on the box lol?Yes they're the same, don't worry. Left just is the old box design, right is the new one.
>>97786364Let's not be obtuse. "Is my shit gonna get squatted?" is a reasonable question.(Seems like the answer is no)
>>97786404For GW stuff, 40k old editions, mordheim, currently putting together stuff for fantasy...old world now, I suppose. Can't find people to try out AoS, but I'm getting some DoK for when the time comes. Why?
>>97786420I start from the assumption that you get models you like, admittedlt the WAAC mentality of just getting shit to play and then not caring about anything else is alien to me.
>the cogfort is kinohave you thanked /aosg/'s lord and saviour today, the malign portents? everything good in aos comes from therelet's go back and reread the first appearances of the cogfort
>>97786454these should be mandatory reads to any aos fanhttps://www.tga.community/forums/topic/27094-malign-portents-the-compiled-stories/
>>97786438>waac mentalityAnon it's not about whether you get shit to play, it's about whether you can play with your shit.
>>97786423>I'm not interested in this game and already can't find players for it, but let me tell you why people shouldn't be worried about an event that would fracture the fanbase even further
>>97786460Dude it should be clear that I don't find the idea of new editions coming out or whatever a factor when getting models, nothing stops you from playing with older rules.>can't find playersI only play with friends, and obviously don't think they are the only ones playing games, so I'm quite confident there's a fair number of AoS players around. I don't think it's worth it to argue about this any further.
>Muh stakes where are the stakes
>>97786496This guy's got a bunch
>>97786475Do you know why you play the old world instead of an old edition of fantasy? Or why, since the old world, what were once extremely popular factions are barely played nowadays? It's because new editions matter regardless of whether you choose to wear blindfolds or not. Discontinued model lines are harder to get and there're less players attracted to the game, or players that were once into the game with that faction find themselves practically cut out from the reality of most gaming groups either because their faction is left behind completely or because the rules are artificially kept underperforming to push people to play the newer stuff.Simply telling people to go play older editions is not a real answer any more than telling people to use a bicycle instead of a train to cross a country is an answer.
>>97786496Why did they both need to be on tactical rubble?
>>97786496He's not been the most exciting reveal but I think he's pretty cool. That being said, what's up with this weird ass colour scheme? Brown, beige, and... baby blue? Shouldn't it be red and black with some cream accents?
>>97786454>>97786457Why did AoS peak so early?
>>97786070I'll get some for warcry.I've resisted the monkey for years.
>>97786517making the armour plates appear as leather links it to the scouts and wildercorps he's meant to be connected to, despite the contents of the spearhead.and the blue ties with the maritime nature of anvilgard.
>>97786525death edition, everything comes back to death
>>97786454>>97786457Malign portents was great. Only topped by broken realms imo. Also actually why did darkoath get cucked out of 2nd edition?>lord ordinator heralds sacrosanct in starter>knight of shrouds heralds nighthaunt in starter>fungoid shaman heralds gloomspite a few months after launch>darkoath warqueen heralds darkoath ...years later at the tail end of another editionWhateva happened there?
>>97786543broken realms was great until teclis and poochie
>>97786543>Whateva happened there?the yassqueen didn't sell
>>97786548teclis was good, it was a necessary loss for nagash to move into a different plotline poochie is where shit hit the fan and aos nosedived because gw didn't deliver on a destruction victory
>>97786553couldn't be that, everyone else already had an associated release ready to launch, they didn't wait for sales numbers>>97786543the warqueen heralded warcry, it was effectively a dozen so kits of chaos marauders normal darkoath only came out when warcry got phased out, in fact
>>97786543War Queen was War Cry
>>97786508The cat wouldn't fit on his base if he wasn't diagonal
>>97786577and it couldn't have a slightly bigger base because...?
>>97786525"Uuh we fucked this up and really need to fix this" mentality vs "This is my chance to put my mark on this!" Mentality.
My buddies finally finished building their spearhead boxes so I brought them to the LGS so we could all learn the system together (I've only played 2 games beforehand).Friend 1 had ironjawz and friend 2 had seraphon. I had them duke it out first and then F1 took sidelines while me and F2 had a game. Overall they had a lot of fun learning the system, seeing the improvements to rules writing over 40k's ruleset, and seeing how quick the games can fly by.
>>97786581That affects gameplay
>>97786591I only got 2 pics of the whole night. Not much spectacle going on since we were just learning, but there were some cool moments. F2 unfortunately took home 2 losses that night, a monumental one against the ironjawz (those guys put out some serious damage) and I eeked out a victory at the very end of a close game by maxing my final turn's score and getting 1 point ahead of him. He had fun though.Hopefully this gives them the kick in the pants they need to paint so we can play more often.I also bought the sand pack so we could play, so now I have some terrain to paint.
>>97786543I wish they kept Harbingers as RoR/Mercenary Companies. It'd be a cute piece of continuity
I know not a single person at GW gives a solitary fuck about Tzeentch but why the fuck isn't the Mindstealer Sphiranx in the Tzeentch book?
