Every common and uncommon feeds into the payoff mechanics, and you don't so much draft it as hope you didn't choose the same school as two other people in your pod. They brought back converge but are terrified of putting it on an X spell where it might be useful. Cancel got powercrept by Mana Drain but god forbid putrefy with lifegain can be an instant.

I'm not super experienced with mtga, but I've played on and off over the years, and came up with this deck. I've run across similar decks which included red/white before, but I kinda like the mon-black nature of mine. Anyone have any obvious/clear suggestions for better cards or straight upgrades?Format is modern, and I've gotten to diamond.

Can't really help you there beyond generic advice of trying to get 4x for your most important cards instead of having random 1-2 copies of things. Reanimator is a hard archetype to get going because it's very vulnerable to hate pieces and has a bunch of moving parts. But, if you're having fun that's the important thing.
