Post some stories about your games or campaigns.
I'll start:
>Be me
>Sister wants to play a science fiction game, preferably in the vein of space exploration
>Decide to run OSR, specifically Broodmother Skyfortress, but it's reskinned as a science fiction game
>"Evil company" (!notWeyland-Yutani) subcontracts the PCs to send some shipping container to an offworld colony; they aren't allowed to know what's inside. They bring along an artificial intelligence named C.L.I.E.N.T. that guides the PCs through an Android it operates called C.L.I.O.
>When there is a crash, a shipping container reveals a biohazard, some sort of alien lifeform or organism that was hidden inside a cryogenic vessel; there is a nearby alien that has had its chest cavity blown through...
>It turns out that the biohazard is an egg and something familiar comes out of it
>Sister asks: "Is this what I think it is?"
>Egg hatches and a facehugger comes out; it tries to attack the PCs... meanwhile, the chestburster is hiding behind some containers
>Simultaneously, the chestburster and facehugger attack the PCs, but sister is able to kill them off; it turns out that an alien species of elephant-centaurs have tried to enslave the Xenomorphs as a military asset but were contaminated by these lifeforms when their colony ship (the Skyfortress) was compromised
>Sister gets told by C.L.I.O. that the "evil company" will pay her all the credits she wants if they are able to track down the colony ship and bring back more specimens in cryogenic cubes; she travels to the alien colony ship (where the aliens are big elephant-centaurs), which has been overtaken by the Xenomorphs; there are lairs and hatcheries everywhere, and sister has to fight off all the facehuggers, Xenomorph-elephant-centaurs, and chestbursters

>Sister is given mecha exosuit by C.L.I.O. and easily kills all the Xenomorphs in the trophy room (where the aliens have kept specimens like trophies), and she finds a space jockey fossil-monolith where a dozen eggs hatch; she takes care of all of the hatchlings, while taking the remains as specimens
>Sister goes into the depths of the colony ship and takes out the biggest xenorphs, then finds the hive queen and gets ready to go into battle...
>...until C.L.I.O. says "IT IS A PERFECT SPECIMEN AND WE WILL NOT LET YOU HARM IT!" then betrays the PCs and tries to feed her to the alien queen to study how it behaves, and sends a signal back to the home world to tell "evil company" to bring a vessel with a cryogenic chamber on it
>Sister blows up C.L.I.O. and the rest of the exosuits that are being controlled by C.L.I.E.N.T., then slays the hive queen by burning all her eggs and throwing a bomb at her head, then she sets charges all throughout the colony ship to make sure that the "evil company" never abuses it for bioweaponry

>C.L.I.E.N.T.
Computer Living Intelligence, Extremely Naughty Though?
>C.L.I.O.
Cyborg Licks It Orally?

You've taken the time to use proper caps and full stopswhile telling us your good story, please seal the deal with whatever backronym the writer made up for those. More importantly though, did you and sister have a good time?

God I have so many. But here's one from My last session.

>PF2e
>playing with mostly strangers + 1 IRL friend who's only ever played like 2 games of D&D
>Leon (Champion), Morgan (Summoner), Habryck (Wizard), and Dorian (Swashbuckler, My IRL friend)
>group finds themselves outside a palisade enclosure they know has bandits inside, with 2 watchtowers
>they approach and have a brief conversation with the bandits, who feign ignorance about any stolen possessions or caravan attacks
>they walk away and return at night
>Habryck sneaks up and sets the palisade and one of the watchtowers on fire, immediately alerting the bandits and prompting initiative
>Dorian is very obviously unsure what to do and playing on Skyrim logic
>takes out his grappling hook thinking he wants to climb the wall; doesn't end up using it
>Habryck casts grease at the only entryway into the palisade. The bandits see this and choose to avoid going out to confront them, instead staying back and firing arrows at anyone who gets close enough
>Morgan summons her eidolon inside the palisade enclosure, but it gets beaten down by bandits in melee, taking out Morgan
>everyone just staying back not wanting to walk over the grease
>Habryck casts magic missile at the bandit boss, who gets concerned over them casting spells
>Dorian takes the risk and moves over the grease. Sees a box near the entrance and chooses to loot it like Skyrim instead of attacking anyone
>one bandit releases a caged griffon they had
>griffon is pissed and attacks and kills one of the bandits, making it's way towards the entrance and attacking everyone in it's path
>bandits continue to flee
>Leon uses Lay on Hands to bring Morgan up
>griffon one-shots Habryck before flying off after being set on magical fire by Morgan
>bandits escaped, party frees some gnome prisoners they had and recovers some stolen goods

Overall fun, but it was noteworthy to Me because afterwards I remember Dorian's player telling Me he didn't think it was even possible for the bandits to escape, and he fully expected that they would just walk through to be slaughtered one-by-one. In fact, he didn't think it was even possible for them to escape the way they did (although they were out of sight, it was inferred the bandits climbed the wall, something he himself considered doing at the very beginning of the fight) and that they just "had to" stay and fight to the death like Skyrim. Skyrim logic was also why he checked the box after entering the palisade, expecting there to be some kind of loot he could immediately put to use in the fight. Overall, he admitted he was trying to play like it was Skyrim, and Me and one of My experienced friends (who'll be joining us next session) explained that it's very, *very* different, and the possibilities are limited only by your imagination and somewhat the rules of the game, but you are generally free to try literally anything you can think of.

Thus, bandits can climb the walls to escape, but you also have the option of setting those walls on fire. His eyes are now open, he told Me he wants to try a bunch of new stuff now that he knows he isn't restricted just to the actions on his sheet and whatever he can vaguely roleplay out. Next game on Friday.
