To be honest, and curious about yalls opinions as well, but I think gw has more or less caught their stride when it comes to 40k models. There really have not been all that many misses, like the sanguinary guard or coteaz in recent memory. Makes me look forward to the total war 40k game a bit if they actually use good designs and not phobos shit or anything 8th edition.

Won a game against Eldar on the weekend. The new Destroyer detachment is very good. +2" movement on the lychguard to get into combat was nice. Then there's a strategem that gives you extra charge distance into an already engaged unit, plus another one for advance shoot and charge. That let me zoom my fragile skorpekhs right across the board and into his lines without spending a turn exposed advancing. Heavy destroyers with enmitic are also nice in this detachment, they get the +2 str on each of their shots. If they're within 18" that's 12 S8 shots, plus sustained 1 on 5s because you can give them a plasmancer in this detachment.
